The food was meh, the garlic bread was delicious. It wasn't bad just not what I was wanting and decently priced. The service was okay it took a minute to be seated but there was just one guy working the bar and waiting the tables he was doing great for being the only person out front. The decor was fun. read more

Food is ok. Server was nice. Soups are all homemade but lacking protein--Especially when the name has Beef in it but it's mostly potato. Not a scrap of meat. Cordon bleu had zero chicken and a cube of ham. The grilled chicken wrap had like 1.5oz chicken--it was good otherwise read more

Friendly waitress and the jalapeño popper sandwich was phenomenal! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmm read more

The food and selection had a variety. Plenty of parking and easy access. The service was disappointing. The waitress never came and checked on us after we received our meals. We felt like they were short staffed and rushed us to leave. Brought over the bill without even asking if we wanted anything else. We won't "hurry" to return as we drove a half hour to go there. read more

This is our "go-to" restaurant in Waverly. We have always gotten excellent service and great food.

Best tenderloin in Iowa. Shares tenderloins with partner Big Foot Betty in Cedar Falls, Iowa (where we live). Better than at Iowa State Fair. Great selection of draft beers. read more

Food was ok. It looks awesome, but was slightly disappointing. I got the chicken finger platter, which came with four large breaded chicken tenders and fries. The chicken may have been overcooked because the breading was darker than I was used to, and was tough to cut or chew. The chicken inside was moist, tender, and tasted get. I asked for BBQ sauce and it came with what looked like a fine salsa or marinara sauce that tasted good, but was not what I was expecting. The French Fries are excellent! My daughter got the Shells and Cheese, and she was immediately not happy with it. She said it was more milky than cheesy. I tasted it, and it wasn't bad, but didn't have the cheesy taste she was looking forward to. To me, it was more like the cheese sauce was watered down rather than milky. But then my son said he'd eat it so it didn't go to waste. My wife got the Reuben with potato salad and enjoyed it. Son got Fish 'n' Chips. Fish was ok, with large pieces. He seemed more interested in the shells and cheese. Service was fine. Waiter filled drinks and checked on us a few times. No problems. Atmosphere was fine too. It wasn't loud for 6:00pm on a Thursday. It was nice. In conclusion, even though the food had some minor setbacks I would go here again and probably order something different. read more

I have been here a couple of times and have mixed feelings. Some dishes are terrific and some are below average. First - their onion rings are the best I have found in the area. Thin, fresh and the batter is seasoned perfectly. Most highly recommended. Secondly, the staff is friendly and efficient. No issues there. The chicken fried steak is under-whelming as is the gravy that accompanied it. Steer clear. Same can be said for the sliced roast beef and gravy. Really a disappointment. The side dishes are pedestrian (the corn was clearly out of a can - which struck me as odd since there's so much fresh corn available in the area)...and the craft beers are good - but fairly expensive. Would I take friends or family here? Probably not. But we might return just for the terrific onion rings. read more

Food was good and the staff was really friendly. I loved all the sports decor and the vibes were cool. Good little local spot!

Great options for all. Good service and food was good. I've been multiple days in a row as I'm here visiting for work. Everything's has been good. read more

There was plastic in my food bad service And it took like one to two hours so do not go there read more

We stopped on our way home from the Grandma's Marathon in Duluth. With travel meals for six days this was the best meal we had!

We stopped here on our way home. It was phenomenal! I had the Chelsi Salad, it was an amazing mixture of deliciousness. My daughter ordered the fish and chips and loved it. My husband had a hamburger. We will stop again for sure. read more

They did a really tasteful job of carrying the theme throughout this place. We were in on a Friday night and I would say it is more restaurant than bar, which is fine because the food was really tasty. We had the backwoods cuban, jackalope (french dip), and the steak salad (can't remember the clever name). The fries were abundant but you'll have to add your own salt, and the veggies (parmesan broccoli) was good but I wish I would have just asked for steamed. Staff was friendly and even though there were quite a few people there it wasn't too loud. read more

Stopped before a softball game. Food was great, service was fast and friendly. Definitely will be back!

Jackalope sandwhich is horrible! Very little cheese. Roast beef needs to chopped up more. The long strands make the sandwich impossible to eat. I give this restaurant 1 star. read more

Amazing! Only one person working doing everything and he rocked it, and the food, to die for! We will be coming back!

While I was in Waverly, I went to Sasquatch Jacks for lunch. I ordered their Big Popper Burger and Ceesy Bacon Fries. Both of these were absolutely delicious and the prices were quite reasonable too. I must mention about their wide range of homemade sauces, of which I really loved the Jalapeno Mango sauce. read more

Fun atmosphere. Good food. Sasquatch potatoes were very good. My husband liked the beer cheese soup.

Came here with our softball girls back in June. Excellent service. Great food at fair prices. Waitress was fun and hopefully tipped her well for handling 11 teenagers and their parents. Would go back for lunch again or even supper. Roomy. Negative - wobbly tables we had to fix to keep from spilling drinks. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The eating area was fairly busy with large family parties. I had the Greek chicken salad and husband had a grilled chicken sandwich. Both meals were good, not great. My salad had a good amount of chicken and my husband's fries were very good (the batter fried kind). I also had a milk stout which was tasty. Service was slow due to a large party in the back but the servers were trying to do their best and help each other out. read more

If I could give it a half star, I sure would. I am not one to be leaving reviews AT ALL. Truthfully this is my first review & we go out to eat a lot! But.. Absolutely horrible. Took over an hour for us to get our food when there was maybe 3 other dinner tables. The smell coming from the bathrooms was horrendous. The food also not good. Waitress was good but everything else, DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

We were passing through Waverly on the way home from a one week road trip, and this was the best meal of the whole trip! The pork tenderloin and jacaklope sandwiches were delicious. What a great find! read more

Great service. The burger was pretty average, the green beans I chose for my side were too salty. My other half ordered the breaded tenderloin with fries, his tenderloin was outstanding and the fries were good n crispy. read more

Stopped in for lunch and Lindsay steered us to the AMAZING Fish & Chips. Real, fresh fish - not a board foot of bland breading - and some of the best french fries we've had in a while. Chef Dante proudly told us it was his secret recipe on the fries, and that he takes great pride in making folks happy with his great food. It was a perfect meal. read more

I rated their tenderloin 6*s+ earlier in the year on a pickup order. It was tender and beyond fabulous. However, we recently did a dine in and ordered a tenderloin and a meatloaf dinner. The sandwich did not remotely resemble the " best tenderloin in Iowa" as it was some months ago. It was overcooked and crusty, not the tender and juicy sandwich we had before. My wife's meal, including the soup, was terribly salty and barely edible. Come on guys, you can do better than this! Not sure if I'll be back or not. read more

We stopped late afternoon lunch on Memorial Day. Large menu with a very good variety. The dinner salads were a meal alone! Rueben was excellent. Patty melt and Rueben both came with a large helping fries. We would definitely chose this restaurant again. read more

Good food. Sizes are HUGE! The onion rings were good, from reading other reviews it was the reason we stopped here. I had boneless wings, breading was just right. Honey bbq sauce too spicey for me lol my daughter had the catfish and beer cheese soup- very good! read more

Not very good went way down hill never busy not very friendly don't go there slow service

Amazing onion rings! My Cobb salad was huge, husband's stuffed burger delicious. Food came out hot and quick.

We're only people inside and waited over a hour and a half for our food and the cook walked out at the same time with his food. And our order was messed up! So waited another 30 mins for 1breaded chicken sandwich. Sent cheese curds back for not having cheese in a majority of them. Service was terrible and food was even worse. And the best they could do was take off the drinks a soda and 2 waters. read more

Boyfriend and I went for a early dinner. We both had the jackalope (basically a French dip) and chili fries. Sandwich was good and the chili fries were as expected! We will definitely be back to try something else! There was one staff taking care of the entire front of the house when we were there (host, bartender, and waiting tables). He rocked it! read more

They are so creative and so much of the menu is homemade. You don't see that too often anymore. Staff is friendly and great decor and selection of drinks read more

Get every side! They are amazing. Ignore the rest of the menu- not that it is bad because that food is great too but the sides?! The best!

I don't really like the food. I got 3 things and I hated all of them. Tasted like plastic. Not a fan

Best place I have been to in years. The bison burger was moist juicy seasoned perfectly. Onion rings thin crisp. Even the cranberry lemonade was refreshing. Place was clean services was friendly and quick. All in all damn great lunch! read more

This was my first time eating here. The lunch crowd was almost non-existent, but the wait for the food was as if it was a busy Friday night. It took so long for the food to come out. I ordered the onion rings, which after reading all the reviews on here, I have to agree that the onion rings are pretty good! I knocked off one star, however, because they charge $0.50 for dipping sauce. If you order Ranch or another dressing, you will get charged $0.50. Or, at least, I was charged $0.50. Had I known that when ordering, because they don't have that disclaimer listed next to their available dressings on their menu, I wouldn't have ordered any dipping sauce. Just something to note. read more

Had out of town guests in this week and came here for dinner on a Thursday evening. At 6:30 pm, was not very busy in bar or restaurant. Food was great (reuben, tenderloin, fries) and plentiful. Staff was exceptional, although service was slow. First impressions, however, are everything. The entrance into the bar area is filthy, and the floor throughout was sticky. Our guest would not order food, and stated "if the entry to the establishment is this dirty, imagine what the kitchen must be like". How about a little power washing at The entryway? read more
