Another great find from Yelp. Love these family-owns and operated restaurants whether I'm home in Minneapolis or traveling to places near and far. Nothing fancy here but not a dump either. Dark interior mostly because of a lack of windows. You can buy a variety of fresh fish at a deli counter, take some fried fish to go, or eat in. We ate in. Service friendly but not at all over bearing. Food came quickly and was piping hot -- perfect. Nicely fried with little breaking. Generous bowl of yummy potato salad. Small portion of pedestrian fries. Cost for all you can eat fried walleye dinner was only $10.95. Excellent value.

Walleye basket, tastes as good as it looks!

I came here after being recommended by a coworker and having a craving for fresh fried fish. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. The interior was not modern but some of the best places tend to focus more on the food. Customer service was great and helped me with ordering since it was my first time. I got the walleye basket with fries and hot sauce. The walleye was hot and the breading was crispy and delicious. They gave me a ton of hot sauce, my only very minor complaint is that I wish the ketchup for the fries was in cup and not packer form for easy dipping. Great fish in the cedar valley- hence the name!

In terms of square footage, I believe this store is the biggest Asian market in Iowa City. To my…read moreknowledge, it is the only one that sometimes has fresh roast duck and (it is rumored) char siu! I only did one quick run through to check it out, but hope to come back soon!

Friendly face that greets you as you walk through their doors. Most Asian grocery stores do not care to interact with you, let alone smile at you. 2. Their goal of a "world fresh market" is to be able to provide whatever ingredients you are unable to find at other stores. I was approached by one of the employees and he offered to place an order for whatever I needed to make the meals i want. 3. They can slice up large meats for you. I had them slice pork belly into thin pieces so I did not have to chop it up myself at home. From what I see so far, everyone I have interacted at this market goes above and beyond to make your experience as good as possible. As with every new market, It starts off slow and without the large turnover of vegetables. Hopefully as business grows for them, they can start living up to the "fresh" part of their name. Kudos to them for trying to make a difference in the Coralville community. Providing fresh exotic fruits that are rarely seen in other stores and having fresh lobsters? It is extremely rare to have fresh seafood, let alone live ones as Iowa is no where near the coasts. I am excited to see what else the have planned for the future food wise :)
