Fries...seasoning off kinda weird taste but fresh good fries - A person holds a fry over a cup of seasoned fries at Big Head Burger, with additional fries in a cup in the background. The table has various food items, including a wrapped burger, ketchup packets, and a foil-wrapped item. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment with a focus on fast food items like fries and burgers.

Smash burgers great but fries way over seasoned, made all our burgers wrong (one had to be remade), no napkins in the place unless ask and get a couple tiny ones, and feels dirty and unkempt. Would normally give a 3 at best but had gf bun, burgers good and fries fresh just didn't like seasoning as had a weird taste.

Phenomenal - A cheeseburger with a soft, lightly toasted bun, melted cheese, and a beef patty is placed on crumpled paper. The burger appears partially eaten or assembled. Next to it, there is a blue cup filled with French fries. The background includes a desk with a telephone, keyboard, and other office items, indicating a casual or takeout meal setting.

Awesome burger and fries ! Super friendly staff and fast service. Definitely a jewel

bacon and cheese on a bun - A burger with a soft, shiny bun, a fried chicken patty, melted cheese, and bacon, placed on patterned wax paper. The bun appears slightly squished, and the ingredients are visible from the side view, with some grease and crumbs on the paper.

Friends of ours liked this and recommended it. They haven't replaced the Mexican restaurant sign so you've got to know what you're looking for. The bacon cheeseburger was like $7 and fries were $2.50. So a little more expensive than fast food. The burger was a nice thin smash burger with decent exterior crispiness and was decent, but nothing special. It had meaty flavor, but could have used a little more seasoning. The bacon was really crispy. I usually prefer mine a little more chewy. The bun was solid and held up to the burger. The fries weee good and pretty salty, which was totally fine.

Cheese burger, seasoned fries and house made lemonade. - The image shows a meal on a table, including a burger with a bun and beef patty, a blue Pepsi cup filled with seasoned fries, a small bottle of lemonade, and some foil-wrapped food. The background features a gray wall and a paper bag. The food is arranged on a white textured paper surface.

Really GREAT food. Perfect place to stop when leaving the Waterloo Convention Center before hitting the road. Smash burgers, awesome seasoned fries and can't bet the house made lemonade. There is some seating available.

    FRIES!

Found this gem and now I am addicted! Fries are real! Burgers are awesome! Tried the Classic and now the western and I have to say that these are good! They work with Eat Street if you are looking at having it delivered. Stay local buy local. Thank you Big Head Burgers.

Front door loxated 1 vlock northwest of marked lication. - The image shows the interior of a small dining area with a black and white checkered tile floor. There are black chairs positioned around the space, and a door with a window that has signs and notices attached. The door appears to lead outside, with sunlight visible through the window. The walls are painted a dark color, and there is a small red sign on a gray door to the left. The setting suggests a casual eatery or cafe.

Great flavor smash burger and fries. Location is one block away from indicated map. Address is correct though. Nice folks with a smile and good food. Gotta have the Big Head Sauce!!

Bacon cheese burger And amazing home made fries! Delicious lemonade too! - A meal consisting of a burger with a bun and melted cheese, a cup of French fries in a Pepsi-branded cup, and a bottle of lemonade with a handwritten label is displayed on a table. The food is placed on crumpled aluminum foil, and a hand is pointing at the lemonade bottle. The background features a wooden surface, indicating an indoor or casual dining setting.

A quick Yelp search gave us Rodney's as an option so we popped over. Rodney is the owner, cook, front of the house and probably washing the dishes as well- at least during lunch when we were there. The restaurant is small-ish in size - booths in the middle and along the side. There is a counter where you order- menu is on the wall behind the main counter. Place your food and drink order, pay Rodney and grab a seat- he cooks it to order so sit tight and you will be rewarded. I went with a Shrimp po-boy and I have to say, it was one of the better ones I have had outside of Louisiana. Coworker went with a burger that was, in his words, outstanding and it was quite large. Forgot what the other two had but all the dishes came with seasoned fries. Overall it was a great find and surely better than the usual chain places. Prices were very good and everyone left full and happy. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Beware the metered parking on the street so you don't make a donation to the Waterloo po-po...

However, things quickly went downhill. We were told they were out of funnel cake fries....which, okay, that happens, but then also out of fried pickles? That started to feel a bit questionable. While sitting there, we kept overhearing staff apologizing and saying they were understaffed. I understand that staffing issues happen, but good management should adjust accordingly by limiting capacity, reducing hours, or temporarily closing, rather than letting service suffer this badly. We arrived around 12:50, ordered at 1:00, and didn't get our appetizer until 1:50. Our main food didn't come out until after 2:00. That kind of wait is just not reasonable. To make matters worse, my tenderloin bun was extremely soggy and the food overall was very greasy. If you're going for a tenderloin, you're honestly better off heading to Starbecks, Cindy Lou's, or King Bucks. Great vibe and kind staff, but the long wait times, lack of menu items, and disappointing food quality made for a frustrating experience overall. And let me tell you this..... 2 kids meals, 2 adult meals, and 1 appetizer was $80 DOLLARS BEFORE TIP... I get that things in this world are expensive, but we can go to Sakura Japanese Steak House and get hibachi and sushi and feed the family for about the same cost.

We got a table with no issue. Waitress arrived with and we got started with some drinks and apps. Honey garlic edamame was different and very good, queso dip was standard fare. For cocktails, we were all over the place: beers, wine and one guy had some whiskey. Frankly, I forgot what the others had but I ended up with a steak, which was fine. A second round of drinks and we were pretty much done with dinner - but we still had a decent amount of drinks left- and that is sort of when we started feeling rushed by the waitress. She asked a few times while we still had our entrees "if we wanted anything else" - which we felt was odd - it did not come across like "are you satisfied", it was more like do you want the bill? Weird vibe. We discussed it among ourselves that maybe she needed to get out and we were her last table but she came round again asking if we wanted the check and my buddy asked her is she was heading out and actually said no- she was there for a few hours more... so the whole thing was perplexing. Anyway, food was good- prices were average. Service was interesting. Maybe your experience will be better. Street parking

There is ample space inside and out, and it's all very open and clean, though the inside dining areas are separated into large rooms, which I think would help with noise control when it's busy. We visited around 7:45 on a Friday evening in August and found it remarkably not crowded, but they have another location in Cedar Falls that probably draws a larger crowd. We were at the Waterloo location, which probably caters to a lot of business people and business travelers during the week. We ordered a lot of food for two people, and it was all excellent, but I rate this cool place four stars because all the food came out of the kitchen at once and we were totally overwhelmed. If it had been paced, I think we could have pulled it off, and as travelers, we couldn't really take leftovers with us to have another day. Our server was extremely helpful and patient helping me understand their beverage selections. I enjoy a good cocktail or a glass of good wine, but my beer tastes are even more limited, but SingleSpeed offered up the perfect solution: the SingleSpeed-a-rita. This is made with their Ring Around the Gose, tequila, agave, and lime juice. That hit the spot on a hot Friday night in Iowa!
