We hadn't eaten here in a while. The food was good. I got a The American Burger ($13) with jalapeño's and some sweet potato fries. My wife got the Banana Pepper Caesar Salad with shrimp ($13). The only reason I didn't give this a 5 was because of the portions. Pretty small. At the same time, the burger was only $13 (I paid extra for sweet potato fries) and the salad was $7 originally. I don't know just a little short on value even with the lower prices. In addition to the food, we ordered a few drinks because it was happy hour. It's a really good happy hour. It was early, probably 4:30. But I was able to get a Perfect Margarita for $4.95 when it's usually $12. Really good deal. My wife got a Mojito. Both were good. I believe from 5pm - 6pm they go to $5.95 so still a good deal. read more

My favorite Happy Hour in Norman. Cocktails are yummy, they have the best parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme sweet potato fries with hot honey, the truffle shuffle burger is delicious and they use butter lettuce for their wedge salad instead of gross iceberg. Pretty tasty spot! We opted to sit inside versus out on the patio, and I regret not sitting out! It was a bit too chilly and loud for me inside. As for the food, we started with the sweet soy shrimp tacos, and we were quite impressed with how tasty and fresh they were. However, it was $8 for two tacos which I think is a bit steep. For our entrees, we ordered the truffle shuffle burger (subbed out regular fries for their parmesan truffle fries) as well as the chicken parmesan. The chicken was delicious, but this was probably the dish that missed the mark for us. It was served with sweet potato noodles which was interesting, but we found the tomato sauce to be too overwhelming. The truffle shuffle burger however, may have been one of the best burgers I have ever had! It had a nice smashed patty with pickled red onions, a nice aioli, a PARMESAN CRISP, and a soft and shiny bun. The fries were also incredibly light and crisp, and they were oh so good with parmesan and truffle. I wish we had more! Our service was not entirely too memorable, but the burger and fries sure were! read more

Stopped into The Winston to grab a drink and some appetizers with a girlfriend the other day and was very happy with our food, my drink, and the overall vibe. It was a beautiful sunset that evening too. Sitting outside was definitely the move. Service was quick, our waitress was very nice, and I could probably eat their Drunken Tuna Ceviche every day... their new Patatas Bravas were also pretty good. A nice balance of salty, crispy, and saucy. The Ceviche and Frozen Watermelon Fresca combo hit nicely. Can't wait to come back for a full meal sometime soon. read more

Dinner on the patio at The Winston was great. Their patio is really lovely. It's covered, good distance from Main Street, and great fans to help keep the flies at bay (a must). We were there on a Saturday before 6pm and made it in time to grab happy hour drinks which a good deal and were pretty tasty. The Hal Smith Restaurant Group has a unique Gastropub culinary style that seems to jump off the menu. I didn't know they were a part of the Pub W family until I looked at the menu, but once I saw it, I knew. The food is predictably tasty, a good value, with a bit 'o funk n style. The winner winner dinner at our table was the chicken crumble flatbread. It's listed on the small and shared menu, but makes for a delicious dinner for one. I had the spicy grilled adobo burger. It was tasty and I'd recommend it, but that flatbread knocked it out of the park. Service was attentive and overall we enjoyed our dinner on the patio in Norman experience. August 2021 read more

OMG, The Winston. I love the sign greeting us that says "It's Not Easy Being Green." It sure isn't and I love Kermit the Frog so I took that as a good sign. Everything was excellent. EVERYTHING. I got the smashed potato I don't think I would get it again but it was nice. The soup was also flavorful. The restaurant was not busy for the lunch hour. And I had the buffalo wontons, because anything in wonton form that isn't traditional I always have to try. I would maybe say to the chef- throw some cheese in there? I had an early Sunday dinner with my daughters after a soccer game 8/27. We picked this location because my youngest loves steak and this restaurant had good reviews. They exceeded my expectations. I had the seared ahi I was blown away and ate the entire meal. My daughter raved on her filet and how well it was cooked. My oldest shared a pizza with a friend and both were really happy as well.
