Tried it today while driving through Crestview. A couple of locals recommended it. Very nice atmosphere, friendly service, food was great! Hubby and I had 2 different salads, greens were fresh, salad was creative (mine had the fried goat cheese) - delicious. Will definitely go here again. read more

Went at lunch with a group of about 8. I had a buffalo chicken salad. Food was OK. Service was OK. Atmosphere was OK. That's about all you can say ... it was OK. Nothing special at all and perhaps a little overpriced because of that. read more

Not impressed. My family has been there twice because everybody we talked to raved about it. First time, it was for lunch and my biggest complaint is that it is very loud in there. We ordered 3 of the lunch specials, and it was good, but nothing to rave about. Even though we weren't that impressed we went again. This time, for dinner. I ordered a pasta dish, and it was bland. Two other entrees were good, again, nothing to rave about. The waiter was nice, but seemed distracted for some reason. Lunch special prices are pretty good... dinner prices way too much. Dissappointing because we need some good resturants in crestview. The Wild Olive is ok if you don't have the time to drive to Pensacola or south okaloosa. read more

Definitely my favorite place to get breakfast! I was told by a few people that the food was great but I was skeptical given the average Crestview restaurant quality, but they did not disappoint. I brought some family there while they were in town who were all equally satisfied after the meals were finished. The waitress had a great attitude and was very quick to take care of everything at the drop of a hat. Overall I would definitely recommend this joint to anyone looking for a great breakfast at a good price. BISH read more

Great stop! Well worth the three mile drive off of the highway. We stopped here for lunch on our way back to South Florida. I had the bowl of soup and half sandwich combo. The soup of the moment was loaded potato and you could see the baskets of potatoes in the window as you walked in. Very tasty and fresh with cheddar, bacon and chives. I had the fancy chicken and my husband had Susan's chicken salad. Both were great and I would get either again, depending on my mood. Plenty of beautiful desserts. We ordered a red velvet cheesecake which was not too sweet or dry. Though the cheesecake portion was my favorite part, and I would have loved to try one of their daily special cheesecakes which included pumpkin, caramel apple, and Nutella. The decor was warm and welcoming, as was our server. The restaurant is baby friendly with a car seat stand available and a changing table in the single stall women's restroom. Great food, beautiful setting and great service. We had our wedding lunch there after getting married in the courthouse. They were very sweet and accommodating. We were visiting north Florida and one night we were looking for a nice place to take a guest for dinner. We found The Wild Olive by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. The decor is charming, the people are friendly, the service is excellent, and the food was simply fabulous. The prices seemed very reasonable (given that we're from an area with generally higher prices). We'll definitely go there again next time we're in the area, and we've recommended it to our friends who live in the general area. read more

As newlyweds, new to the area with the military, my husband found the Wild Olive on Yelp by reading some of the really great reviews from locals. He took me here for our first date as a married couple and we couldn't have been more pleased. The food is incredible and very unique. The building is very quaint and the atmosphere is peaceful and charming. You can tell that a lot of love was poured into the recipes and into the creation of such a fabulous restaurant. We asked our waitress about the history of the restaurant and learned a lot about the chefs attending culinary school, the owners, the building etc. The staff is super friendly and take excellent care of you. Kesha is great! We have been several times now, and each time we go we are sure to order the stuffed jalapeño appetizer. My favorite dish is the Shrimp and Gouda Grits and the bread they serve is delicious and fresh from the oven. They display their desserts in a case in the front and they all look incredible. We shared a slice of one of the cheesecakes each time we go. The outside dining area is beautiful. We can't wait to treat our out of town guests to this place. It's a little pricey, but very reasonable for the quality of the food and the overall experience. Who ever created the concept is very tasteful and has incredible design ideas - I love the shabby chic feel. Overall very excited to have something like this so close to home. The best part is - if you ask a Crestview local about the Wild Olive, you will most certainly get a really great review. MUST try! read more

I agree with the other reviews, the food was amazing! The staff was unbelievably attentive and the dessert (Red Velvet Cake) was light and fluffy! The only problem was it was closed on Sunday night when we went back just one more time before I left town. read more

We have eaten here many times and FOR CRESTVIEW FLORIDA it is the best thing going and easily rivals what Niceville or Ft Walton offers. It is a mom and pop type eating establishment and better than any chain you'd eat at. By all means if you want to drive 30 to 45 minutes one way all over the county you could find a better place. Not me, i'll drive the 10 minutes! It has a GREAT family atmosphere and that is why they don't offer booze. It isn't a sports bar etc. However, they allow customers to bring in what they want to drink if they want it with their meal. My favorite meal is the filet mignon (melts in your mouth and worth the 24.95) with a bordelaise sauce, mashed potato and green beans. Staff and management are always polite. read more

The Wild Olive has been my favorite restaurant since it opened. Every time we go it is delicious and their lunch menu is so affordable. I was super impressed even more than usual when my hubby brought me home a steak dinner from the restaurant last week. I had a tooth extraction the day before but was able to easily eat the delicious medium cooked steak. They will continue to get our business and praise! And don't forget to take home a piece of their carrot cake, so good!!! read more

This is the best restaurant on the city of Crestview. Every time the wife and I go there the food is incredible. The menu is always changing so it is impossible to have a favorite, but with everything being awesome who cares. read more

WOW, we were absolutely blown away by how fabulous the Wild Olive was. Had a b-day dinner there on a limb and we were totally impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I cant believe this place is hidden in a little podunk place like Crestview. To branch out would not be a bad idea for this restaurant! I had the tortellini in a fabulous cream sauce with the most tender, succulent chicken I have EVER had..I had no idea chicken could be that tender. Looks like some of the other reviews loved it too. Everything just tasted extremely fresh, and you could tell time and care went into cooking it-something you dont get to experience much anymore (espeically not in Crestview, this place is terrible for dining) And actually, the prices are completely acceptable for gourmet food. We are originally from Seattle so we have had so much trouble finding nice little gourmet places like this in NW Florida (That arent in Destin) BBQ is a bit bigger down here.
