Fantastic meal. Try the blackened shrimp and grits. It won't disappoint. Service was very good as well. One of the best meals we've had.

My husbands work had an outing and we went to the Wild Olive and brought our kids along (2 year old and 10 month old). We ordered the pulled pork egg rolls with Alabama white sauce, which was really good. My husband wanted the southern burger but they had just sold the last one so we both got chicken parmesan with a Caesar salad and we ordered that for my toddler off the kids menu as well. The salad was good, but it felt a little like a tease. To make it feel like it was bigger than it actually was, the lettuce was cut into the tiniest pieces. We got our pasta and it was pretty good. Not worth $18 for a small dish of pasta, but it was okay. The bread the came in the basket was really good. The food was a pretty good experience but I think what really upset me was today (2 days later) my husband was checking the bank account and noticed we had been charged 3 times for our meal, which equaled $200. So he called them and they informed him that they swiped the card the first time and forgot to give him a military discount so they swiped it again. The discount still didn't go through, so they swiped it a third time. I'm not sure why they couldn't have told us that after our card was brought back instead of us having to call them about it. A heads up would have been nice. read more

Great Food! If you are looking for that special place. Hidden from everyone. This it it! Has the food of a 5 Star restaurant. It is hidden gem on a side street but we'll worth finding it. You can enjoy some great dishes. Also the desert is homemade as well as the food. I'm sure you will go back. read more

We decided to go to the Wild Olive for our anniversary dinner instead of driving down to the beach what a Great decision! We had Bacon wrapped Jalapeño peppers stuffed with cheese for an appetizer Yum. My husband loves cheeseburgers and ordered the Down South Burger with Gouda, jalapeño bbq sauce, this thing was so big he couldn't eat it all, came with fresh cut fries. I ordered the Mahi Beurre Banco with scallops, broccolini, and Gouda cheese grits, awesome. We were too full for dessert there so chose Red velvet cheesecake and Butterfingers cheesecake to go. Our server Laurie was very helpful with our choices and provided great service. It is in an old home that has been updated but has kept its country charm. We will definitely eat here again. It's a little pricey but well worth it. Tip the bread is awesome but don't eat too much or you'll have no room for dinner. read more

This restaurant was a half way meeting place with our son who was working in Panama City for the week. It was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was adorable and the owners are there so hands on, and the food~DELICIOUS and very elegantly served. Stopped by for lunch. I had the burger and fries (yeah, I know, original). My friend had the Mahi sandwich with a Greek salad. The burger was spectacular, real ground beef, not a preformed pattie. The fresh cut fries were also very good. My friend said the Mahi was great and the salad was fresh and tasty. The real bonus was the red velvet cheesecake. Probably the best dessert I have ever had. Well worth the hundreds of calories and 8.95 price. Service was prompt and helpful. Our server handled multiple tables without missing a beat. The only issue we had was no sign out front so we had to drive by once before we found the place. A real gem in Crestview. read more

I think it is the only place in Crestview with a hipster feel to it, I was so excited! However, I was not impressed with the food, I had the chicken Alfredo and my husband had some type of fish. We found this little place last year on a trip from our home near Cocoa Beach to Louisiana. We absolutely loved everything about the place, it's warm and welcoming decor, attentive and friendly service, and the food is lights out. We decided to make another stop here today as we leave our home again to escape Hurricane Irma. Upon learning that we were evacuating, without prompting, and knowing that we are not "regulars", our server informed us that our bill was taken care of. This was the bright spot on our 20 hour road trip. The crab cakes were excellent with much more crab than cake. The blackened snapper was some of the best we've ever had, and we live on the Texas gulf coast. The rice was cooked perfectly and the rosemary sauce was surprisingly nice. The restaurant is clean, small and very quaint. If you go, don't forget to byob. They are in a church zone so no liquor license, but oh we'll, it will save you a little money to pick up a bottle of your favorite wine on the way and they don't mind bringing you a glass. read more

Wow! Spent a few hours looking at real estate east of Creatview when my wife and I started getting hungry. My wife did a quick search and we happened to be just a couple of minutes away from this little slice of fine cuisine. Started with a lightly battered calamari and shrimp appetizer with a marinara that I would have eaten by itself. I don't recall what the fish was my wife had but it put a smile on her face much like the blackened shrimp and gouda grits did mine. Never expected to find food like this in Crestview, Fl. We just had a date night at this restaurant and it was excellent. I'm only sorry that we had not tried this place before. The staff was warm and friendly, the bread and dip they give you was warm and delicious. Salads were good. My only comment would be that I asked for no onions and peppers and the salad came with both. We split a piece of carrot cake which was outstanding. All the food is home made and delicious. It's surprising to find one of your better class restaurants in such a small town. I recommend this place for date night or any other night. They even played my kind of music. Bonnie H. read more

OMG!! There are no words to discribe this food exept amazing!! From the bread to the salads to the main course and into dessert. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. My husband got the ceasar salad and I paid the two dollars extra to upgrade to the greek salad and it was well worth it. With imported feta cheese and a light greek dressing (not an oil based like most) My husband and I split two meals cuz we couldn't decide on just one. We got the grouper with lump crab, rice and string beans. The crab was so sweet and the grouper was so flaky. Our second choice was the cheese tortatonlli with chicken mushrooms and peppers in a cream sauce. We licked our plates clean. We had the triple chocolate cheesecake for dessert and what a perfect way to finish off the meal. They only have ten items on the menu including appetizers and 2-3 specials so time and perfection is put into each dish. The wait staff is very friendly and well dressed. Menu prices range from $10-$25. This is our favorite restrurant to date!!! read more

We chose to spend the night in Crestview instead of Defuniak Springs simply based on available dining options other than fast food. I rarely eat at a chain restaurant, so I was excited to find this local spot with such great reviews. They did not disappoint. We did not order an appetizer, since we were eyeing dessert. We ordered our entrees which came with a choice of soup or salad. I chose the house salad with apple vinaigrette, and it was delicious. The ingredients were very fresh, and the dressing was light. My husband selected the Brunswick stew, and he raved over it. Between salad and entree, our waitress brought us some freshly made bread and olive oil mix for dipping. The oil mix was addictive! For my entree, I ordered the special which was grouper served with Gouda cheese grits and fried okra. The fish was moist and flaky and tasted very fresh. The okra was cut and fried in spears which was a nice change from the slices I'm used to. The grits were a nice addition. My husband ordered the pork chop served with asparagus and fried grit cake. He repeatedly said how perfectly the asparagus was cooked and that the pork chop was moist and tender. The pork chop was served with a chipotle sauce that he didn't love, but that may just be a preference. For dessert, we chose the red velvet cheesecake and Mississippi mud cake. We watched them being served complete with freshly whipped creme. When our waitress brought our plates, we were surprised to see fresh fruit. The cakes and fruit were the perfect cap to a delicious meal. We highly recommend The Wild Olive for a delightful meal in a casual, relaxed setting. read more

Definitely my favorite place to get breakfast! I was told by a few people that the food was great but I was skeptical given the average Crestview restaurant quality, but they did not disappoint. I brought some family there while they were in town who were all equally satisfied after the meals were finished. The waitress had a great attitude and was very quick to take care of everything at the drop of a hat. Just moved to the area from California, so we are use to delicious and outstanding food. Based on the recommendation of our realtor & my husbands co-worker, we decided to check out this place, for Friday night date nite. Service is great, and we were seated immediately. Coming from CA I'm used to having to wait, so this was a huge plus, since we were super famished & hadn't eaten since breakfast. Our server was beyond helpful & was very knowledgable on what was on the menu. He even provided me with a small sample of the Gouda grits, as that was part on their special menu. Based on his recommendation, I ended up ordering the blackened red snapper on top of Gouda grit with fried green tomatoes. It was delicious. Loved the grits! And I'm not a fan of any type of grits typically. My husband ordered the filet mignon-definitely quality meat. which was delicious. I'm not a meat eater, but I would have ordered that dish and wouldn't have been disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised, about this place and we will definitely be back. I only gave 4 stars, as they don't serve alcohol, which I wasn't aware of until we were on our way. But I think it's great that they allow you to bring your own. Not impressed. My family has been there twice because everybody we talked to raved about it. First time, it was for lunch and my biggest complaint is that it is very loud in there. We ordered 3 of the lunch specials, and it was good, but nothing to rave about. Even though we weren't that impressed we went again. This time, for dinner. I ordered a pasta dish, and it was bland. Two other entrees were good, again, nothing to rave about. The waiter was nice, but seemed distracted for some reason. Lunch special prices are pretty good... dinner prices way too much. Dissappointing because we need some good resturants in crestview. The Wild Olive is ok if you don't have the time to drive to Pensacola or south okaloosa. read more
