I looked up computer repair close to me and found these guys in Frisco. I called and they said bring it in. They charged $99 for diagnostic (with that amount going against repair). Within an hour of dropping it off they called me with great news that in fact upon disassembling and inspecting and a hard reset they determined it was the battery that "got hung up". What was going to cost me $1000 for repair or a new computer was only a total of $150! What I liked best is the honesty. They could have told me something was wrong when it wasn't. Also, they said they wanted to keep it overnight to test and make sure their assessment and solution was correct. It was. I hope to not need their services in the future, but if I do I AM COMING BACK! Amazing service!

Though it was over the holidays, they were able to diagnose and repair his PC fairly quickly. You can tell they know their stuff and they gave suggestions for future PC options once our son's entry level gaming PC had run it's course. Though we are hopeful that we do not have to return anytime soon, we would definitely recommend PC Geeks.

After doing my own research, I decided that it would be best if I send in to a 'professional' to get it replaced and have the set up done. Once I got it back, everything ran considerably slower - The boot times went from a couple of seconds to 5+ minutes. I had to do my own research to discover that when they put in the new SSD, that was all they did. When they set up the new OS on my computer, they did not even bother to initialize the new SSD. That means that my computer was completely unaware that my SSD even existed. So for about 1.5 weeks, my computer has been running everything on the HDD, which even the most clueless of computer owners know is not right. It took me 30 seconds of googling to discover the proper procedure to follow in order to actually repair the issue from start to finish, and these guys managed to take about 2 weeks to do it, and they did it wrong. Find somewhere else to get your expensive electronics fixed, because these guys do not know what they are doing. Also the place reeked of sewage.

I also had them clean the PC while they were working on it, and they did an excellent job. Everything was handled professionally and the quality of the work was great. Special shoutout to Dependra (Dee), who personally helped me throughout the process and answered my questions. I was a little nervous at first about leaving my PC somewhere new, but I quickly realized it was in good hands. Very professional, high-quality work, great turnaround time, and great customer service. If you need computer repair or installation work, definitely give Macro Geeks Tech a holler. I rarely give out 5 stars on my reviews, but this place deserves a big gold shiny star…read more In a nutshell, I'm visiting my parents from New York City - found out that my parents iPhone/iPad screens were shattered after they dropped it a few weeks ago. I wanted to get the screens replaced before going back home. Staff: I met Chad (the owner), super friendly guy, who I called ahead of time before heading over to ask for the price of replacing the screen. Unlike all other places who try to bait you by saying "we'll give you a quote in person" - Chad was really transparent about prices and what services were offered. Walked into the store, was greeted immediately, and screen replacement was on its way within minutes. Location: Great location, right off of I-35 in one of the strip malls next to Smash Burger. Small location but is expected for such business. The inside was very clean and chairs were available in the waiting room to wait while iPhone was being repaired. Close enough to a lot of other shops near by where you can go grab a bite or walk around to kill time. Value: This place, of 5 other places I called and visited, was the cheapest in the Carrollton/Lewisville/Coppell area. Charged me $99 + tax for iPhone 6S Plus screen replacement. Most other places wanted AT LEAST $129 + tax. He also offers via Yelp, a complimentary tempered glass with check-in. Timing: So I have to admit, I hate waiting; maybe it's because I'm from NYC and I'm extremely impatient but then again, who likes to wait? Well, Chad quoted me over the phone that it'd be a 30-45 minute wait, but I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Dropped off my phone, went to my car, made a phone call and in no time, phone was ready to go. Screen replaced, tempered glass installed. Overall: Extremely nice owner, wants the best for his customers to earn your business. They also do iPads, computers, etc... essentially any electronic gadgets! I would definitely recommend RescueTronics to anybody who is in need of screen replacements. If I recall correctly, I believe Apple charges $150-175 last time I checked in the city. I'll post pics later when I get home!
