Grilled Elk Medallions with Huckleberry glaze
    Carrie C.

We eat here every time we stay at Turpin Meadows. The Elk Medallions are one of my favorite meals in the whole country. My husband loves the Ribeye. My friends ordered the Brussels sprouts and really liked them as well. All enjoyed with a spectacular view of the Tetons. And the wait staff is always on point. Quickly getting us whatever we needed.

Side salad only 3 more with dinner.

This place was super convenient to get to since we're at the Hatchett Resort connected on the property. I was hesitant to go here due to past reviews but we gave it a shot & we're glad we did. It's a tad pricey but everything we had was good and the portions were huge. I'll also add the menu says 18% gratuity is added to your check and it was not. We tip 20% for good service so they made out better with us by not adding it & I prefer that. So my husband ordered a mix bbq special with mixed veggies. It was all good and the veggies were not over cooked and tasted great. I had the steelhead trout with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes and added a side salad for 3.00 more. We each ordered a local beer on tap. Our bill was about 60. A tad pricey but again lots of quality food. Also the hostess and three young servers did an excellent job taking care of the restaurant they were in constant motion helping tables. Try it out!

    Dusty counter

Restaurant manager that had a complete melt down, and yelled at us then cried. When we simply asked about straws for the drinks, and WiFi. She threatened to throw us out and there were 5 paying customers in our group. We were never rude, or mean. We just simply asked about it. My impression is that she is used to bullying folks and has zero respect for people. She even came back again and started yelling at our table again which made her seem even more unhinged. 3 of the 4 people ordered spaghetti with a meat sauce ..... it was less than average, for the cost . We did have another server assigned to us by the name of "McKenna" and she did an amazing job. We tipped her very well. I felt bad for her due to the fact that she was walking a tightrope with the manager watching her with anger in her eyes. Due to the fact that she was doing a great job. I would love to be contacted by the Owner of this establishment. The manager you have now is costing you business. There were other paying customers in the restaurant at the time she caused a scene. When I went to the office of the hotel to see if there was a over all Gen Mngr the man behind the counter said he was. I then started to tell him what happened at the Wetting Stone. He cut me off and said he had watched the whole deal and knew what was said and that we had made her cry. However he had just handed me a brochure and did not recognize the other 3 people of the 5 that were in my group. He never heard anything. If he had and was any kind of a manager he would have fired the restaurant managerial the spot.

The food was good, especially considering it's the only place for 50 miles. Staff was friendly.

They definitely have lots of locals but also tons of people coming through on snowmobiles. My server was amazing. She kept everything clean, checked on everyone constantly, while alarms grabbing and serving the food keeping things clean checking on people etc etc and did it while making people laugh and smile. I ordered this delicious breakfast with home made biscuits that were heavenly! The eggs hashbrowns and maple sausages cooked to perfection! Ryan came in to get a bite with me before we headed back to Denver! He was also greeted and got him some breakfast as well he got an omelette which he also enjoyed! We went to pay and during that moment a person came into this tiny adorable diner and casually said "we have 24 people " . I looked at the server and she smiled and said I'm gonna pretend to not be overwhelmed by that lol we all laughed smiled and she handled that situation like such a champ. Ryan and I scurried out. So note to large groups if you have well over 20 people you should totally call ahead especially if you plan on going into a little diner in a small town. But I was so impressed with how they handled it with a smile and a laugh and took care of everyone as we headed out. Go check out cowboy cafe ... and don't do what I did I forgot to get some pie to go... I heard great things about the pie. I may come back just for that alone! :)

In my opinion the pies are nothing special as stated in the reviews I've read. Our burgers were…read moregood but it is overpriced for what you get.
