We had the best lunch today at Turpin Meadows Ranch. We just drove in for lunch from Dubois. As many times as I have been by this area I never have stopped in. The staff was just excellent and friendly. What a super lodge and it is beautiful. We will be back in fall. read more

Dinner at Turpin Meadow Ranch was 10/10. Our server was soo sweet and helped us order the greatest meals. I had the pork chop and I'm not kidding it's the best I ever had. Large portions and such great quality food. This felt like farm to table and very authentic. Not to mention the stunning views. This has become our favorite restaurant for special occasions or bringing out of town guests for a treat. If you're lucky enough to get the 5:30 dinner seating, get there early and grab a drink. Head out to watch them run the horses to their night pasture. We've been several times and haven't had anything bad to eat. Whatever you have for your main course, save room for the huckleberry cheese cake. After dinner enjoy the chairs on the lawn while having an after dinner drink and enjoy the view. read more

We had such a wonderful surprise visit during our Off Grid snowmobile rental. We had no idea that the ranch was where we picked up the snowmobile and had an excellent breakfast before we set off. Myra was lovely as well as all the staff. We also got to enjoy some aprés snacks and drinks after we got back. What sets the place apart is the location and ambiance, it was so so cosy and beautiful the backdrop of the mountains and the roaring log fire made our Christmas Day truly truly one to remember. Food is usually very good, sometimes it can be on the salty side which shows me the chef isn't fully confident. Service is typically great. There is a sense that this establishment does not appreciate their local customers as they are often closed for private events. read more

Mulled wine tasted excellent, but I have to admit I was a little horrified when they popped it in the microwave to heat it up. Don't expect freshly mulled wine. I was pretty disappointed in the dinner menu. Very heavy on the meat, except a token vegetarian pasta entrée which sounded pretty boring and of course full of gluten and dairy. I was tempted to try the fish which sounded really good, except they put bacon in the sauce and they said it was shredded so not something you could eat around. Brussel sprout app was very tasty, but the brussels sprouts could've been cooked a little more. Crabcake appetizer was good, although tepid. They have three desserts, and honestly none of them sounded very tempting to me. We ordered two of the three anyway, and they were just OK. Very pleasant dining and bar area with beautiful views on a clear day. Really nice outdoor seating. Even though it was February, we had a cocktail from the bar in the sun and were plenty warm in our puffy jackets. No apres bar food available. Breakfast that is included with the room is average. read more
