A nice bar in the lodge with stunning views of the Grand Tetons. We came by three evenings during our stay in the Jackson Lodge. We sat at the bar each time and were served by two delightful barkeeps. John Patrick and Shorty. See pic. We did not get food but saw others having various bar snacks. A nice place with great staff for a stop. Nancy & Mark. read more

Great views. Outdoor seats with gas fire pits. And a few edible things on the menu. What more could you ask for from a National Park Lodge bar? Sadly, nothing. You can't ask for more than that or you'll be disappointed. read more

Great views. Outdoor patio available, but it was too cold and windy for us each night we were there. Inside it is open seating, first come, first seated. Very good drink menu and the bartenders mix very good cocktails. The food menu is limited. Chicken Nachos left a lot to be desired. Overcooked, with soggy consistency, as if the chicken came from a can. Queso cheese. Also nachos served cool (not warm/) and not at all spicy. Service was very good. Prices are relatively high, however, since is one of the few options for an adult beverage, in the park, it is worth it -- especially just to see the Lake Jackson Lodge lobby and the spectacular views from the Blue Heron Longe. read more

We had a great experience here! Our waitress was absolutely wonderful--she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The appetizers were also really good and came out fresh and flavorful. Overall, the food and service made for a great experience and even better environment. We'd definitely come back again! read more

Had dinner here on a Thursday night. This place is self seating and is more of a bar but they also have smaller plates and some sandwiches and burgers. We found a table inside, outside tables are in high demand because of the great views. You can enjoy a drink in front of the majestic mountain range and try to get a glimpse at wild life with your binoculars. Pretty sweet ! Took a while to get some waters and for a waitress to arrive, I believe they might be a bit understaffed, but the place is also quite tight and lots of outside tables so make sure to get your complete order in quickly. We went for some local draft beers, the hike for it Hefeweizen was pretty good. Also tried the huckleberry lemonade which was also good. For food we ordered the grilled cheese and the bison burger. The grilled cheese was ok, cheese could have been melted a bit more and the pesto overpowers the cheese a bit. I would probably prefer a classic grilled cheese. The bison burger was good, the brioche bun could have been toasted a bit more though. Both sandwiches came with chips which tasted good. We also got a piece of the new York cheese cake which was solid. Not super creamy but overall good dessert. Service was a bit slow as explained before, but folks were very friendly when they were at your table. Great option if you're ok with limited menu and mostly come for the views. read more

This is a must do - Set on the patio for amazing views of the Tetons while having a cocktail and a snack. Perfect for a midday stop to rest and still snap some beautiful photos that never come close to capturing the Teton's magnanimity that you see before your eyes. First come first serve with tables and they filled quickly. They do have a menu with more than small plates, you only need to ask for it if you are visiting outside meal times. Staff was kind, attentive, food was great! We are grateful we found this - How is it only 3 stars when all have good things to say? This is absolutely an above average lounge, unique only to this area. The walk up the stairs to the floor of the entrance to this lounge will take your breath away, as the far wall of the gathering area is floor to ceiling windows that showcase the Tetons. The view pushes Blue Heron up to 5 stars. It's such a pleasant spot to sit outside and enjoy the environment. Service was friendly and timely. We got the jerk chicken special that was perfect. A little citrus and some heat. Juicy inside and tender. It came with crunchy house made potato chips. The caprese salad was excellent. The other salads we had over the few days all had too much dressing. Would have been better to get the dressing on the side. Inside, fans were watching FIFA which was fun too. read more

The Blue Heron Lounge has a gorgeous view of the Tetons, and that alone makes it worth a visit. Sit out on the patio and enjoy a drink and quick bite. We were there on a warm August evening and were pleased with our appetizers, which were fresh and tasty, and with the attentive service. I had to knock 2 stars off, however, for the fact that we sat down after perusing the full menu outside the door, only to be told the grill had just closed, cutting our options down to a handful. This was at 7:30pm at the height of the park's busiest season, when we were starving after a very full day outdoors. There are so few restaurants in this area, it seemed absurd that this one would choose to limit its business in this way. We made the best of it, but it was disappointing. read more

Always a wonderful stop when visiting The Tetons. Our server's name was shorty and she was absolutely fabulous! She totally catered to my elderly parents and I appreciated that more than anything. We ordered the Hummus plate, watermelon salad, pork sandwich and onion dip & chips. All items were delicious. Cocktails, view and service were all fantastic. read more

The best place to have a meal and admire the majestic Grand Teton mountain ranges. As we walk up to the second floor to the restaurent, the beautiful large windows displaying the magnificent view was breath-taking and unexpected. All these years of traveling around the world, this view at the Blue Heron bar is unforgettable. We were lucky enough to get a table right outside on a sunny day. It was warm and pleasant. The tomato soup, grill cheese, salads, the Bloody Mary and local cider drinks were delicious. The service was great! This is a place you must stop and see! read more

I will add this spot to all future Grand Teton visits! The view is absurd. It's also a nice break from the sandwiches at the campgrounds. Really enjoyed the server. They were well (enough) staffed and calmly dealt with a tour bus that showed up as we arrived. We ran to beat them for a seat. Define eat outside. It is pricey but we just got an app. The nachos seemed pricey at $20 but they did fill us up. They had sweet peppers instead of the traditional jalapeños. That may please more people. They sauce was really good. I enjoyed my canned beer. And everyone enjoyed their drinks. The huckleberry Teton mule was epic. read more

Food & drink: My 4 star vs. 5 is based on my limited order I had a absolutely fantastic Gin drink called "The Vespar". Loved it! My hub was very happy with his Spicy Bloody Mary. The drinks were perfect. We had a delicious small plate of olives & mozzarella. The plates being delivered to others looked pretty huge & appealing. Ambiance: Well, what can I say...The outdoor patio had the most amazing views of the Tetons, and a breathtaking lake. For this you will pay a premium for cocktails & food, but it is so worth it. Service: The staff maintained a very friendly attitude as they repeatedly had to climb up & down stairs, along with dealing with a rapid, tourist packed table to table turnover. They were busy! Hard workers for sure. If I would ever visit the Grand Teton National Park, I would definitely return for this patio dining experience. read more

This was a really good meal in Teton! You can't beat the view of the mountains and the water. Our server was good considering it was fairly busy! We got a couple drinks, the huckleberry mule and a huckleberry prosecco drink. I enjoyed the mule but my friend said the other was mostly prosecco. We ordered the onion dip, watermelon salad and heirloom tomato salad. Both salads were really fresh and delicious and the burrata with the heirlooms was so good! The onion dip was solid if a little basic. I wish there had been maybe crusty bread to dip instead of chips because it was pretty thick! Pricing was a little high but not terrible considering there's so few restaurants around. read more

Come for the views, not the food! The scenery is inspiring, but the food? Below average at best. I swear the nachos were topped with canned chicken and some weird green sauce. If I hadn't been starving, I wouldn't have touched them--and at $21 a plate, it felt offensive.. On the bright side, the service, drinks, and those views saved this from being a total loss (hence the stars). Pro tip: skip the nachos. Grab a wrap from the Pioneer Grill instead and enjoy it outside--you'll spend less and actually enjoy your meal. read more

Service sucked. When I walk into a place, I appreciate eye contact, a greeting, maybe some direction (I.e. seat yourselves, or I'll be right with you, or how many? Etc) we walked in to five workers- some with a blank stare, some never turned around- no greeting, just like zombie stare- eventually I asked if we could sit anywhere- "yeah." WAs the reply. Greaatttt. So we sat outside- might've been a mistake because it was slow service. Maybe it's faster inside? Food was good- drinks were good. read more

Stunning views - worth a stop-in for a drink before sunset. The tall windows had sunshades that blocked some of the view, but there were outdoor seating options. It's all self-seating (no reservations), and unfortunately on the night we were there, the kitchen grills were broken so there was only a very limited bar menu available. However, the burrata and hummus were delicious. We had an amazing server (didn't recall his name but he was originally from Croatia) who gave us a great experience. read more

Blue Heron Lounge located inside the Jackson Lake Lodge. Building (inside) is beautiful. Decided to grab a burger on the patio of BHL. The view of the Grand Tetons was pretty amazing. We had front row seat to the views. Our server (KATIE) was great, even with dealing another customer who was just being a .... (fill in the blank). She handled this customer with a smile and grace. We were not impressed at all with the burgers and side salads. Burgers seemed like "high school cafeteria" level. "Side salads" were also meh, tiny and overdressed. The 3 stars are for the view and our server (Katie). Go for the view, pass on the food. Sorry No pics of the food, not worth it. read more

Ok, the food was good. But...watch the prices! Kid's drinks are $12 each. One glass of Merlot is $18. The views of the Grand Tetons from the Blue Heron Lounge are stellar. Absolutely magnificent! On that feature alone this place could easily get a 5-star rating. And, I highly recommend you make a stop here for amazing views. Alas, the food does not score as high as the mountain views. Our food was good and our service was just fine as well. We stopped in here for a little snack after a long hike. The Lounge offers a Soup, Salads and Small Plates menu. We ordered the Sweet Corn and Smoked Trout Chowder and the Mini Tostadas. The Chowder was so delicious. For the price, I just wish the bowl was larger. read more

Spectacular views and limited staff make this place a conundrum. We only had cocktails here by scanning a bar code. You had to get food outside by ordering online and bringing it back in. Obviously, this is temporary, but what a pain! I felt so bad for the single bartender trying to keep up with all the online orders while having customers at the bar stare at him with cold impatient faces. Eventually, someone did come to the rescue to make drinks but geez, what a nightmare with all the tourists everywhere. Our group was in no rush. We were just admiring the views but there was definitely confusion whether to seat ourselves or wait for help and then we saw the bar code on the table. You can go the bar code way or go directly to the bar to order. Drinks were decent, not the best, but enjoyable. They used huckleberry in some of the cocktail recipes which is a unique twist. The drinks were at Vegas prices so we were happy that some of them packed a little punch. Hopefully times get back to normal soon so they don't have to deal with both online and in person ordering while understaffed. read more

Come here for drinks and the view not so much the food. Just wanted a quick bite before heading back to the park. We had some beers and shared a brawt since we weren't super hungry. Beer was good so was the service the brawt not so much. Bun was either old or way over toasted which made it rather hard. Combine that with way too much sauerkraut and you basically have to eat it with a fork and knife because it completely falls apart. Flavor was ok, the views however were great! read more

Amazing views. Good service. Really wish the food was better. You really cannot beat the views. You are sitting with an unobstructed view of the Grand Teton mountains. Unfortunately, the food was not great. We had lunch and grabbed some hamburgers (I had the Hawaiian burger). It's hard to mess up a burger, but someone they succeeded. The burger itself was tasteless, and overly salty. A Hawaiian burger should have a good teriyaki sauce, but you can barely taste it. The beef was bland and a little stiff and overcooked. Even the potato chips were bland. We went here because the Mural room restaurant was full. Otherwise, this place is a pass. read more

This place has a killer view and the prices were reasonable BUT the food is mediocre and service lackluster as is often the case at National Park eateries. I had the bratwurst which was incinerated and a Bloody Mary which had a tablespoon of black pepper in it. Only the view saved it from a 2 star rating. It is dog friendly if you walk around the north side of the hotel. Listed in: The Great Southwest Adventure - 2019 https://www.yelp.com/collection/2t6-zVlNVIUt4pCdPPkrtA read more

Can the view get any better? The Blue Heron Lounge is one of several dining options available at the Jackson Lake Lodge located inside Grand Teton National Park. To get to this bar/lounge/restaurant, you'll have to get to the second level of Jackson Lake Lodge, go through the magnificent lobby with the incomparable view of the Grand Tetons behind the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and go to the right. Though it's named "lounge", we walked in with kids and they didn't even blink. We opted to sit at the outdoor patio so we could sit at the outward-facing bar so we could stare at the Grand Tetons while eating our large-portioned yummy lunches. Great view, bad food. I had read the reviews but my dad wanted to visit this lodge so we had lunch to take in the amazing views. I ordered the grilled cheese, it was two slices of cheese that weren't melted on a small ciabatta roll. I ordered the Jackson Lemonade for a cocktail. It was bright pink and I'm pretty sure was Hi-C lemonade with no booze in it. Don't eat here. read more
