To be honest I ate about half my burger and a few fries and left the rest of it to be thrown away. I would assume that the cold fries was a fluke but the guy eating next to us sent back his soup because it was cold. My suggestion would be to avoid this place unless you want a salad for dinner. As for the service my waitress was nice and quick to bring refills as needed. I left her a good tip because it was not her fault that the food was so so.

They have you pay at a cashier then they deliver the pizza. If you want a salad, there were prepackaged, dull salads in a refrigerator for $15. Hard pass. Grab your own utensils, plates, etc. Find a table, wait. Not too long after, a doughy but crisp perfectly cooked cheese pizza appeared. It had about 9-10 big slices. Yum! Perfect with some Parmesan and chili sprinkles. Hit the spot for a light dinner or snack. I estimate a large feeds 4 light eating adults or 2 adults and 3 small kiddos. Good quality pizzas. Because Colter Bay was more beautiful, more peaceful, and more soul-filling than anything I expected. My husband and I came for a weekend on a friend's recommendation, and from the moment we arrived, I was overwhelmed. The cabins are rustic -- truly rustic -- with log walls, one bed, a small desk and chair, coffee, a simple bathroom, and an armoire. No TV, which was perfect for us, but worth noting if you're expecting one. Within minutes of checking in, we saw our first group of deer wandering between the cabins. And I cried. The cabins sit just steps from the marina, and the views of the Tetons are epic. Every direction looks like a postcard come to life. The kind of beauty that stops you in your tracks. And yes... I cried again. The Colter Bay restaurant is solid -- good food, reasonable prices, nothing fancy. My husband loved the game burgers. For something more upscale, we drove up to Jackson Lake Lodge and enjoyed a lovely dinner with stunning views. Colter Bay also has a wonderful, family-friendly beach with picnic tables and crystal-clear water. It's simple, peaceful, and absolutely spectacular. We loved it so much we booked two cabins for next year -- one for us, and one for our son's family of five. I already know I'm going to cry again the moment we arrive. I found the menu to be limited and not that inspiring. We ordered the French onion soup and the catfish po-boy with fries. The flavor was good for the French onion soup while temperature was luke warm at best. This soup is usually super hot unless they melted the cheese with a torch. The po-boy sandwich had nice fluffy bread, a flavorless catfish filet but delicious fries. If the remoulade had not been present, it would of been tasteless. I had higher food expectations with the beautiful restaurant design but the food is no where close to matching the bar. A real disappointment. I know the chef is a long term resident and success in Jackson, but this was not anything to write home about.
