Mediocre Food at best, service really slow for a small restaurant, evenly priced. Clean and cheerful Inside.

The food is very ordinary. The coq au vin sandwich is a plain chicken breast sandwich. There is nothing French about it. It is eatable. The bison burger tasted dry when ordered at Medium. The salad niçoises was good except for the few browned salad leaves. The salmon dip and charcuterie are ok. The bread that came with it was hard. The double expresso was bad. How can that be? Just enjoy the view.

The Caesar salad and house salad were ok. The white bean soup with sausage and kale was hearty and satisfying. The scallop appetizer was perfectly seared and served with a creamy mushroom sauce. Skuna Bay salmon was outstanding and served with fennel and citrus. Hanger Steak was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious chimichurri. Green beans were the only vegetable with every entree, but they were tasty. The only disappointment was that the shrimp and grits were served room temperature, not even warm. The pastrami Reuben at lunch was on nicely grilled marble rye. The meat was tender and flavorful. Huckleberry ice cream was the perfect treat. The dining room was spacious with beautiful views of Lake Yellowstone.

(We had the breakfast buffet here as well, but just rating dinner here)…read more We had a very pleasant dining experience here for our party of eight. They are not joking when they said that reservations are recommended for dinner. If you didn't have a reservation, you could be waiting two hours or more for even a small party for dinner. So do yourself a favor, and make advance reservations. We were very pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the food and the presentation here. It was first class! The fried calamari was crispy, and the remoulade dip was delicious. The only downside to the calamari was that it was strips, not rings/tentacles. The smoked trout dip was great, loved the onions and capers. My Skuna Bay salmon was great, loved the kimchi cucumber on it. Great location by Lake Yellowstone. Beautiful setting. My companions' chicken curry and jerked tofu were equally good. The gumbo was notably delicious. The trout, ordered by our member who had gluten issues, was done perfectly. We had the olive oil cake (absolutely delicious lemon flavor and great texture), volcano caldera cake (yummy) and ice cream (big scoops!).

I got the pastrami Reuben with side salad (other side choice was fries). The Reuben was surprisingly good. The marble rye was toasted well and good portions of cheese, meat and sauerkraut. Could have used a bit more dressing, but that's personal choice. My partner got a Mediterranean wrap. It came with a huckleberry compote dressing that, to me, hid all the other flavors and made me not enjoy it at all. The wrap bread was a bit chewy, also. My partner didn't mind the huckleberry compote, but said that the sandwich lacked discernible Mediterranean flavors, like eggplant or tomato. They were disappointed too. The side salads were good and fresh. The service was good and the view was lovely. Hard to review this with one decent item and one flop. But I'll score upwards and give a four, hoping the rest of the menu has some high points.

Just ok food but with great service and a spectacular view of Lake Yellowstone…read more If only rating the food, I would give Grant Village Lakehouse 2/5, but I think the quick service and view each bump it up by 1 star. After I ordered at the counter, my group found a vacant table in the corner, and our food all arrived within 5 minutes of sitting down! The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful, we came a little after sunset but I can imagine the sunset would have been amazing. The food was very affordable as well, with tacos around the $5-6 mark, and I think 2-3 tacos would be enough for a full meal for most. I tried the fish taco, al pastor, and barbacoa. Being from San Diego... I really did not like the fish taco. The fish was dry rather than buttery and flaky. I wouldn't recommend. The al pastor was very spicy so much so I couldn't taste much else. But I liked the barbacoa one though, if I were to go back I'd just get that one. It is strange that the meat is cubed instead of shredded, but it's ok. I also appreciated that if you ordered a vegetarian taco, it comes in a separate bowl to avoid cross contamination. Overall, I think Grant Village Lakehouse was a convenient, casual dinner spot, and I also understand the challenges of running a kitchen within a national park. I am glad we chose this restaurant to dine at.

The churros are the best churros I've ever had. No joke. Usually churros don't have enough sugar and cinnamon, because the sugar just falls off. These have enough and are DELICIOUS. The atmosphere hits that perfect Jackson vibe with a modern Western, warm lighting, rustic wood accents, and a fun energy vibe without feeling chaotic. It's the kind of place that works just as well for après-ski drinks as it does for a full sit-down dinner. The menu has something for everyone: elevated comfort food, solid steaks, fresh fish, and great shareable starters. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well-executed. The cocktails were creative (and strong in a good way), and the wine list was thoughtfully curated. Service was friendly and efficient even when it was busy, which says a lot during peak ski season. You can tell they're used to handling the resort crowd without sacrificing quality. Whether you're wrapping up a long ski day or just want a fun, reliable dinner spot in Teton Village, Spur delivers.
