    Gingerbread espresso martinis

Came for some cocktails with a few girlfriends. The drinks weren't that great but the ambiance and music and decorations definitely make up for it. Bartenders are super friendly as well!

Was here for Halloween and came back for Christmas celebrations. The service and people are great but it was very packed last time I was here and tends to get a little hard to move around. Very limited seating. The decoration for the holidays is amazing, they did a great job with the ceiling!

This place looked so cute for the holidays! I loved the coziness of the bar and hearing Christmas music. The drinks were pretty good, my friend got one of the holiday specials (gingerbread martini) and really liked it. I got an old fashioned and it was pretty good, although there was only one kind of bourbon served. We didn't have a reservation (which I'm not sure why you'd need one for a bar), and we were allowed to go into the establishment until 6pm so we were made to wait outside until it was "walk-in hour". We were then told we couldn't sit at the bar anymore because a reservation was taking the seats at the bar. However, no one showed up for the reservation so we were able to sit again. Overall it was a cute and cozy place to grab a drink.

Love love loveeeed it here. The drinks were PHENOMENAL and the staff were so nice. The food was so so good I just wish they had dinner options here but the "small plates" are so yummy. We got the meatball and it came with bread, the two combined was delicious. It was our anniversary and I said that in my reservation just for fun and they gave us champagne it was so sweet :) the ambience was so nice too, definitely coming back with my girlfriends! The ceiling covered in roses is too cute

Happy to finally see a bar doing well in this location. A cozy cocktail bar with a great atmosphere. Had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, I saw from TikTok (which is how I found out about it) he was friendly & appreciative that we came in. The bartenders were really nice and came with great recommendations. Highly recommend Peanut Butter Espresso Martini. While the cocktails are a little more expensive than some other places, it's a great place to come downtown that isn't too crazy or overwhelming.

Two of the gingerbread espresso martinis .... lol

With that said, I was instantly impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff who helped make recommendations to me. I bought a four pack and when I got around to cracking my first can was instantly disappointed that I didn't buy more. I go to a lot of breweries... a lot. I can tell you that while I only had one of their beers it was one of the best beers I've had in some time. The tasting room had a cool vibe too. Great place!

This time, my friend and I found ourselves in the township of North Bergen which neither of us had been to before. With a tap list heavily-focused on IPAs, it was difficult for my friend to find something she could drink, and IPAs weren't one of my top three choices. Would there be a drinkable brew for us in this part of New Jersey!? Ched'a Ranch Pretzel Pieces 11.2oz Bag ($8.00): Because all we had in our bellies was froyo, we needed something to help absorb the beer. After we secured seating, they were kind and patient enough to offer free samples to my friend who wasn't an IPA drinker. Afterwards, I continuously approached the bar to place an order during our stay. There wasn't any table service, so on each trip I returned our empties. Everything was no-frills straightforward which was fine with us - all was good! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance) We took the light rail to Tonnelle Ave. Station and walked about 10 minutes along a busy street into a somewhat industrial area. They didn't have an onsite lot. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of 43rd St., the major thoroughfare of Tonnelle Ave., and nearby surrounding side streets - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A no-frills somewhat cavernous industrial warehouse where you walked through a door within a drop-down metal garage door, you were immediately staring at the brewing tanks. The bar area was off to the right with several high barrel tables, a handful of stools at the bar, and a chalkboard menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=nJg33bmX7AUR7f4gzEhgTQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw up on the wall. There was an uncomfortable hot dankness in the air. Natural lighting only entered once the garage door was opened while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were muted TVs while rock music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rblApp3OACOCC_PN48XKnQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was happy to try New Jersey Brewing Co., and I would consider another visit at least to try the rest of their beers. However, their tap list was limited both in quantity and variety. They were very heavy on the IPAs which wasn't my favorite. Unfortunately, there wasn't any onsite food (some snacks) or trucks (BYOF style). And, they appeared to be family and pet-friendly. They had comparable prices and adequate service. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $54.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Since my last visit, I had only ventured there once for a drink, but it had been far from a first choice. I loved that they had live music and a casual vibe, but my past culinary experience had been a letdown. However, I was very pleasantly surprised on my recent excursion. We grabbed seats at the rustic bar and enjoyed friendly service and pints of Kane Head High, my favorite beer. The crisp, refreshing brew went well with my cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. While that might sound like an odd "snack", I selected it because it was one of the few appetizers on the menu that was not fried. The broth seemed to interestingly be made of tomatoes and potentially other vegetables. It was packed with large, spiral noodles, shredded chicken, and fresh spinach. It was an interesting rendition for sure, but it was also very tasty, despite the fact that it was rather greasy. I was also bummed that it did not have more chicken and that it had not been served with any crackers. Oh well! Overall, it at least had left me with a much better impression than my last trip had.

We walked in, got a table right away, and were told that they did not have any fish & chips (the main reason why we decided to come here in the first place). There was another item that they were sold out, but it escapes me at the time. It just felt like a place that is an upscale British pub, to be out of fish and chips is inexcusable. With that said, I pivoted and got the special which was a full English breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. And the portion size was massive! We also got the Irish soda bread to start and it was so delicious. I will admit that while I was not able to get what I wanted, I was able to get a meal that was absolutely amazing. However, I also know that the full English was a special and won't always be an option. The staff was very friendly. They did a great job of taking care of us and leaving us alone to enjoy our meals/conversations. The restaurant was also not too crowded which was a treat. I could see this place getting packed and, if it was, being very loud which would detract from the experience. So, while our meal got off to a rocky/disappointing start, we ended up having a delicious meal. We would definitely come back. And, hopefully, that time try their fish & chips (they must be good if they were sold out, right?)
