Really the best burger in town.
    John B.

Incredible burger that always hits the spot. Everything works perfectly especially the combo of truffle mayo and Irish cheddar. The burger I had tonight -- which initiated this review -- was particularly delicious.

Solid four. Fish and chips, adequately sized portion good batter and chips. Other guest had salmon, nicely prepared and flavorful. Morans is a good pub, looked after and not too full of the frat crowd that can overwhelm the town. Decent selection of local beers.

Large juicy delicious burger with ample toppings. Best burger I've had in Hoboken. Wings were fine but not amazing. The waitress was slow and inattentive because she was more focused on the bar. They filmed the Bob Dylan movie here, and the food didn't sit well with me when I went again. Not sure what was wrong with it. I got the Moran's burger again ($18). It tasted very good but wasn't mind blowing like last time. I got it medium and added the bacon Dad didn't want. The burger was juicy and greasy but not overly so. The fries are good not great because they're a little overcooked. The service was very slow again. Waited maybe 25 minutes for the food and got served after people who walked in after us. The burger is best medium. The fries are a good consistency but need ketchup for flavor. Sit at the bar for service at a reasonable speed.

Delicious food friendly staff service a little slow. We had corn beef and cabbage good portion size. Buffalo wings were also perfect amount of crunch and sauce.

So happy we stopped here for dinner! We ordered the pretzel, burger, and steak sandwich. We loved everything and enjoyed sitting outside! Drinks were well priced as well. We got two margaritas for $10 each! Will definitely be returning.

TLDR: Good outdoor seating, not a great burger. Service: not great I came on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside for a burger (there was a private party inside) but otherwise not very busy. I ordered a BYO burger, LTO + Moran's Sauce and sweet potatoes fries. The waitress took my order and then went to a table of four and spent a while talking to them and taking to their order. So later on, I wasn't surprised when someone brought me a Moran's Burger and she had to come back and ask me what I actually ordered. Food: Presentation 8/10; Taste 5/10. My burger didn't have any flavor. I got it medium -- usually I go medium rare for a burger -- but the color was still great for medium here and it didn't ~look~ very dry. But it didn't have any flavor so I guess they just don't season the meat with anything. Bland and disappointing!! I also felt like they were chincey in the lettuce and onion. The worst part was the bun-- it was almost stale tasting because, again, there was no good bun flavor!! It just wasn't fresh and tasty experience-- I really expected better. :/ What SAVED this meal was the giant sweet potatoes wedges on the side. They were perfectly good! Their ketchup was disgusting (seriously, I really don't know how you mess up ketchup, who is making decisions back there??) so I used the Moran's sauce as dip instead. The sauce was better but nothing amazing. If I had to go back, I would try the Moran's Burger that comes with Irish Bacon and blue cheese I think -- so I would expect that to hopefully be tasty!

    Bacon Brussels sprouts, yumm $8

Wow!! Ordered through their website for pick up since they were booked with reservations all night. We ordered the chicken fingers, morans burger with fries, and bacon Brussels sprouts. Our order was ready in 30min. Smooth pick up. Everything hot. The chicken fingers come with fries. I didn't know that. The chicken fingers were juicy! Cooked perfect. Crunchy breading and excellent flavor and size. Good quality and great portion for $10!! Soo worth it!! We will get them again. 10/10 The bacon Brussels sprouts were great too. Cooked perfect, decent amount of bacon, and nice portion for $8. They are bit size which I liked. We wish they had just a little more flavor. My boyfriend likes larger sized Brussels. I actually enjoyed the bite size ones. 8/10 The morans burger we ordered medium well and the fries to be extra crispy and burnt. WOW!!! Amazing!!! Top notch burger!! Great size burger, thick juicy patty, crunchy onions perfect touch, fresh lettuce, cheesy goodness!! Bun was fresh too. So so so good!!! And fries cooked PERFECT. Such a big deal guys!!! Excellent chef. Love that they pay attention to details. 10/10!!! Best burger in Hoboken in my opinion! :) And for $14, excellent price point. Definitely getting it again!!! We are SO happy with our order from Morans!!!

No crowd at all for a Saturday afternoon brunch. Available seating outside under umbrellas, as well as a spacious interior - was able to snag a table for three as soon as we arrived. To start off, ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip ($13) to share. A large offering of thick artichoke/cheese dip served with hearty tortilla chips. Cheese on top is greasy, yet the artichoke underneath is very good. For my entrée, ordered the Limerick Fish & chips ($17) - two large cuts of fried cod served alongside french fries, ketchup, and tartar sauce. Fish is a bit of a miss, the inside is quite soggy as the fish itself wasn't properly drained (possible still frozen when cooked). However, the battering itself is seasoned well. Best of the bunch were the fries, cooked well and just the right amount of salt. Local beers ran around $6-7, which was also a plus. Service is quick as they took our orders/got food out fast. Can be up or down depending on what you order.

Does this place have good vegetarian options?

There are a handful of vegetarian options available for dinner which are marked on their menu. However, their brunch menu (weekends only) is limited if you don't eat eggs... if you eat eggs, you're good to go! FYI they're closed on Mondays!

The decor was nice but not nice enough to get me to go back when it's so tiny. There were probably 4 tables max and these aren't regular tables they're coffee shop tables. It gave cafe. There's also a whole other bar at the back but I guess they don't use it. Even though we made reservations we were told there's no seating left (clearly) and could only sit at the bar. Not sure why there's even reservations. Should just be walk-in only. The bar was empty so we just sat down and grabbed a drink each. The bartenders were very friendly and cracked a lot of jokes. I ordered the Seasonal Spritz while my friend got the Sugar Cookie Martini. We were surprised by how good the drinks were. I actually preferred her drink. It was definitely sweet though! I don't think I'll be back but it was nice to experience.

After we secured seating, they were kind and patient enough to offer free samples to my friend who wasn't an IPA drinker. Afterwards, I continuously approached the bar to place an order during our stay. There wasn't any table service, so on each trip I returned our empties. Everything was no-frills straightforward which was fine with us - all was good! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance) We took the light rail to Tonnelle Ave. Station and walked about 10 minutes along a busy street into a somewhat industrial area. They didn't have an onsite lot. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of 43rd St., the major thoroughfare of Tonnelle Ave., and nearby surrounding side streets - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A no-frills somewhat cavernous industrial warehouse where you walked through a door within a drop-down metal garage door, you were immediately staring at the brewing tanks. There was an uncomfortable hot dankness in the air. Natural lighting only entered once the garage door was opened while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were muted TVs while rock music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rblApp3OACOCC_PN48XKnQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was happy to try New Jersey Brewing Co., and I would consider another visit at least to try the rest of their beers. However, their tap list was limited both in quantity and variety. They were very heavy on the IPAs which wasn't my favorite. Unfortunately, there wasn't any onsite food (some snacks) or trucks (BYOF style). And, they appeared to be family and pet-friendly. They had comparable prices and adequate service. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $54.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

We grabbed seats at the rustic bar and enjoyed friendly service and pints of Kane Head High, my favorite beer. The crisp, refreshing brew went well with my cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. While that might sound like an odd "snack", I selected it because it was one of the few appetizers on the menu that was not fried. The broth seemed to interestingly be made of tomatoes and potentially other vegetables. It was packed with large, spiral noodles, shredded chicken, and fresh spinach. It was an interesting rendition for sure, but it was also very tasty, despite the fact that it was rather greasy. I was also bummed that it did not have more chicken and that it had not been served with any crackers. Oh well! Overall, it at least had left me with a much better impression than my last trip had.
