Especially when it's so poorly done and obvious. They responded by blocking me. Pretty poor taste. I feel bad for anyone who eats here based on the photos they were duped on. It's no better than what fast food does, but at least we all know those places don't have integrity. It's sad when a local business doesn't either. Have been trying tO get here for quit sometime the cook use to work at the little restaurant in Lothian just off Rt4 in the old barn. Food was always tasty hot And did i say good! I was on Local flavor and noticed a coupon $15 for $30 so I purchased a few. Wife and I drove to church town to go try the Wagon Wheel for a early dInner late lunch. We arrived 3:30 noticed no one was there that's because the sign on the door they closed in 30 min at 4. We went in and asked about eating and we sat down or server was great and very friendly. Lots of items on the menu we ordered our drInks they have Pepsi products and fReah brewed ice tea. I ordered the cowboy burger it came with smoked ham and a fresh made burger with cheddar cheese and sauce one it and fresh cut fries. The wife ordered the pulled pork platter came with coleslaw and she also got mixed veggies we alsO ordered the onion rings for before our meal. The onion rings were pretty good our meals came and the burger look great the fresh cut fries were nice and crispy I cut the burger in half. My wife's plate was big you get a lot of meat nice portions of veggies and coleslaw at first I though the coleslaw was potato salad because it was very yellow I took at taste and it was pretty good it had a little mustard flavor bbt very good as was the meat you put on the bbq that you want there was 4 different ones. The kind of sweet with a kick and traditional one were good. Everything was very good I would like to rEturn during the week when they have daily special for meals. I did ask for some onions and they were completely out, I would have liked to have had a slice of the apple sauce cake but I was full next time we won't get an appetizer before eating. Small restaurant with very little signage out front. I came here because of other reviews about homemade sausage patties. The sausage was not homemade patties and probably was Smithfield sausage patties. The scrapple was deep fried instead of pan fried. It is acceptable in most restaurants to do that but it becomes very greasy. Other than that the service was great on the food was very tasty. Pretty good place if you need to satisfy your hunger. The workers here seem really nice and welcoming. The foods here are all cooked to order and can be seen being cooked since the kitchen is next to the dining. I ordered the Wagon Wheel special for the day which was a sandwich with pulled pork, brisket, jalapeños, and sausage. It came with a side of fries and the meal was extremely filling. They also have a tray full of bbq sauces you can try with your meal. read more

We came on a night where the special was schnitzel with lemon butter capers, and I swear I had died and gone to heaven. Although I grew up in Germany and schnitzel was a staple in my diet, I'd never had it prepared this way. I loved it! Had my wife not stopped me, I would have licked the plate clean, just like I did when growing up in my Oma's kitchen. When we got home, I immediately ordered the necessary ingredients to make the lemon butter caper sauce myself. We've eaten here for breakfast too, and the restaurant doesn't disappoint. Genuine and welcoming...making you feel as if you are visiting a friend's home for dinner. Under Chef Dean, this spot offers up MUCH more than your "standard" food. That starts with brisket or pulled pork nachos and a list of appetizers not to be missed. Extraordinarily good fried pickles with remoulade on the side. Onion rings done right. And smoked chicken wings to rival anything you would get at a high priced spot. As for entrees...you can pretty much throw a dart at the menu and come up with something delicious. Fall off the bone ribs, unique burgers, hearty meatloaf, an incredibly unique Cuban sandwich using pit ham and pulled pork in place of standard ingredients...everything that came to the table was delicious. Don't forget to check out the specials...like tender pit beef and fried chicken. Sides are no throwaway. Best potato salad I've had outside of my own. Perfect coleslaw. Great mac & cheese. If you're lucky...they'll have some of their Heath bar cake to top it off. We were here most recently for my husband's birthday with a group of friends. He had a serious accident over a month ago and is not able to walk or move a lot. This was his first change of scenery in a while...and they went above and beyond, putting up balloons and birthday tablecloths...and making sure he was comfortable. They also cater and deliver! My fiancé and I really enjoyed ourselves here! The service was amazing and the food was so good. We started off with the fried pickle appetizer, the sauce that came with the appetizer was great. I had the pulled pork platter with cornbread and mac and cheese and I ate it all! It was delicious. I'm picky with my cornbread and the cornbread there was very good! My fiancé had the sampler and he loved everything on his plate. He wasn't able to eat the wing but it all was good. We finished off our dinner with chocolate ice cream. They are BYOB and we plan on going back. Their portions are big and you definitely get your money's worth with what you order. They make their BBQ sauce there - and that was very good as well. We recently ordered carry out for delivery (which that alone is amazing since we have only 2 other options in our town that deliver). I ordered the pulled pork sliders from the kids menu for my little guy. It came with a side and we chose mac and cheese (delicious btw). The pulled pork was tender and the mini rolls it was generously stuffed into were fluffy, and soft. For myself, I chose the baked potato smothered in brisket and cheese. It was HUGE. That's not a complaint, ha. It came with a side salad, and choice of dressing which was a perfect complement. My husband got the fish and chips and was pleased with that, as well. We were eating leftover ribs and meatloaf, but not better on the second day (or third or fourth). Should have known when we pulled up and the cook and waitress were in the parking lot smoking, with no customers. Very nice people and really good food. My ribs were prepared well. The Mac and Cheese was very good. The collards although not like my granny makes weren't too bad. My problem. Cornbread. It is my pet peeve if you will. I hear people talking about cornbread and I can't wait to get mine. The cornbread here is corn cake. Just needed icing. But a lot of people tell me I'm full of mud that's the way it is supposed to be. But the best thing about the cornbread was that they had the culinary insight to bring me real butter. I never heard of a restaurant closing at 8PM on Saturday nights. When it was Dave's Barbecue, they took orders until 9PM. I called to order ribs and sweet potato fries. When I arrived at 7:50PM, four people were huddled around the door, looking impatient. The waitress said it was $4.00. When I asked how it could be so cheap for ribs, she explained that she only thought I wanted the fries. She looked at an adult male and asked if I could have ribs. The guy said nothing, but stormed into the back, where he began slamming the metal drawers, and tossed a styrofoam container onto the counter. I apologized and he just glared. When I got home, the ribs tasted metallic, like they had been sitting out all day, and were cold. The fries were all grease, cold as a corpse, and very mushy. I later learned that the "chef" (HA!) that put on such a show of anger is the owner! Not only will I never be back, I will spread the word to avoid this place at all costs... read more
