We also had the candied bacon appetizer. It was a little soft when served but given a little time to cool it crisped up and was tastier. The crispy brussels sprouts were also good, they needed a little salt and additional sauce offered would have taken it up a bit. It would make a nice date night spot, definitely more casual. The outdoor patio would be cool too, in less humid weather. We didn't see much of our server after the food arrived, but I kind of get it - it's not like you're at a Michelin star fine dining place. Today's visit was another hit with great service and its pet friendly which is a plus. Nicole provided amazing service and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered. This is a hidden gem in Easton! My daughters love this place in addition to our entire family. Both inside and outside are nice with local touches of Eastern Shore maps and history.

Sitting inside Easton's historic Tidewater Inn, Hunters' Tavern is not the sort of restaurant I generally associate with a hotel. It's better in all regards. The wagyu "Burger & a Pint" platter was delicious and eclipsed only by that 3-course meal, of which there's several entrees to choose from. The Cream of Crab soup, a house specialty and my chosen starter, was so rich and crab-laden that a bowl could easily serve as a meal. Red Snapper, my chosen entree, featured a piece of fish so generous in size (accompanied with potatoes, vegetables, and sauce) that I required a doggie bag at meals' end. Gelato - my choice, even if I couldn't eat another bite - was my chosen third course. I can easily imagine what that 3-course meal would've run me back home and trust, it would've been nowhere near $35. Though I arrived early for dinner here it quickly became clear, as the restaurant filled up with diners, that others are onto the great food, ambiance, and clutch specials that Hunters' Tavern offers. I don't often seek out hotel dining experiences but I actually think this is one of the best places in Easton, a Chesapeake Bay town not lacking in good restaurants.

There's a new Fall/Winter menu, so it was difficult to choose. When we finally did, first was seared ahi tuna with two aioli sauces. Then came the seafood paella, about which we can't say enough! Each of the seafoods was perfectly cooked. The sauce and rice were also heavenly, leading me to say we can hardly wait to return. The ambiance here is calm, so we with our hearing aids can easily converse. Service is attentive, but not overly so; you know what I mean. Please consider going there soon!!!

It's when some hare-brained nincompoop is feeding me a fish story the size of Moby Dick's, well, ya know, tail... (In case you're wondering, it's BIG...like 15-feet-long BIG...). But I always -- and I mean always -- want a "whole lotta bull" when it comes in any form of mouth-watering bovine rations from your kitchen. From the moment my boyfriend and I sat down, I knew we were in for a real treat. Not only was our waitress, Savannah P., as sweet and as charming as a bubbly Southern Belle two mint juleps in, but she fed me a "lil bitta bull" when she "claimed" to be shocked that we were close to 40! Even after glimpsing at his salt and pepper beard and listening to my grandma-like antics as I pinched her cheek (haha...just kidding), she still carded us when we ordered our drinks. Savannah P. is one smart cookie--and that ain't no bull! Because she fed our egos first and foremost, which meant one thing--her tip was about to be as big as our appetites! And boy were they ginormous... After putting our cobwebbed licenses back in our dusty wallets, we couldn't wait to dive headfirst into a massive bowl of your brisket-infused mac and cheese. Why? Bottom line: Your mac and cheese is the best I've had in any restaurant. Period. Though we were so full, we couldn't get enough of dat bull! (I'm a poet and didn't even know it...lol). We both got the half rack of ribs! And what can I say...This little piggy (aka yours truly) went to the market and didn't cry all the way home...instead I cried tears of joy after the meat fell right off the bone the second I pierced my pearly whites into your perfectly smoked, insanely succulent sow! The sauces were few, which made me go "phew" (in my head) bc there's nothing more annoying than going to a BBQ joint having to try 154 sauces to find the "perfect" condiment! The best part of your sauce selection? They were all great!!! So what did I do? I squeezed a three-neck waterway all over my ribs, creating a stream of "deliciousness." The sides were on point! My boyfriend tends to be a better orderer than I am...this time was no different. He couldn't get enough Mac (because we'll, duh!!), so he ordered another massive pile (that I personally made a dent in when he wasn't looking) along with a quite tasty tray of Cole slaw. He slurped up every last cabbage strand right after he gave me a teeny bite (bc he wanted it all to himself!) I got the collards -- and I must say they were very flavorful. Why you might ask? Oh because brisket was infused in with them! Yum! I also got a nice load of Thanksgiving-inspired stuffing! I allowed my boyfriend to have one bite and he instantly said, "Wow! Tastes just like Mom's." His mom is a great cook, so if that isn't a great compliment, I don't know what is! After everything being 100% scrumptious, we can't wait to try more!!! Unbelievable litte gem!…read more Hubby and I took a shakedown trip in our camper and as luck would have it, it would rain the first day. We knew this in advance (thank you weatherman!) so we decided that we would look for a place to have dinner on the shore. I checked what was close to Martinak State Park and one of the places that sounded good to my husband was the Preston Roadhouse Bar and Grill, so we decided to give it a whirl. We love small business and try to support them whenever we can. It's a cute little store front in the sleepy little town of Preston. You can appreciate these calm little places when you have to hustle and bustle through Baltimore daily. Upon bringing back the menus, he told us about all of their specials that evening. I decided to go for one of them which was the scallops and Parmesan risotto. My husband selected the shrimp and grits which was also on my radar. I figured that I could have some of his. As an appetizer, we ordered the crispy brussel sprouts. Our drinks arrived and a few minutes later, we were dining on these wonderful brussel sprouts! They were fried perfectly and had a nice topping to include cranberry, maple bacon and a balsamic glaze which balanced them out perfectly! Right on cue, our dinners arrived. Everything was good perfectly. The scallops were a nice size and the risotto was delicious. I really did love my husband's dish of shrimp and grits. I would have been just as happy with that one too. The grits were cheesy, the shrimps were a beautiful size and it had a smattering of pork barbecue in the middle of the grits. Very tasty and everything was served at the right temperature. We had no room for dessert....we couldn't finish our dinners. The dessert menu and the desserts brought out looked scrumptious though, so we would definitely go for it! Luke was an amazing server....he gave us his suggestions when we asked, something that I totally appreciate, because not only do they know what has been going out, but with many of the servers we know, they will tell us exactly what they enjoy....and the majority of the time (barring actual fish speaking for me as I don't care for it) they are right on!
