Adorable restaurant on steroids. Too cute for words. Tucked back in a neighborhood and away from the main street gives it a New Orleans feel. But the best part is the fresh southern cooking. Corn bread unlike any i have eaten before. Not too sweet but hint of apple. Moist. Lightly smoked collards Tender and savory. Best fried chicken in Maryland. Crunchy coating and moist perfectly cooked tender chicken inside. Meant to take photos of the food but scarfed it down without thinking. Go go go

OMG! The taste of the soul food at Minty's Place will take you to another dimension! Hubby had the fried chicken (you may choose white meat or dark meat) with mushroom gravy and rice). I had the Dorchester Fried Chicken salad. To die for! Huge portions and friendly owner, Araminta aka Minty (on far right in photo). Check it out! If you're going down the ocean, it is just a right off Route 50 onto Maryland Avenue, about a 10-minute drive. Truly amazing.

This neighborhood gem was such a find. We stumbled upon it after visiting the Harriet Tubman Museum nearby. The owner is so sweet, the food was delicious and the place is adorable. We had the fried chicken sandwich, pork chops and cornbread. They are currently only open Thursday thru Saturday from 11am -7pm. Make sure to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!!

Love may be the secret ingredient included in Minty's menu. We enjoyed our meal and variety of entrées that features food for the soul. I visited twice and enjoyed the Cambridge Grilled Salmon Salad for lunch and the Harriet's Southern Buttermilk Fried Chicken as a dinner selection. Both were delicious. I will plan to go back next time I visit Cambridge. Best wishes to the Chef and owner!

Let me say this, what a treat to find home cooking and a dash of love mixes in. I stopped in for some specialty ice cream and discovered a slice of local Americana. What a joy to see that the American dream is still alive in a small town!

Walked a mile and a half to get here. When arrived it was closed. Not off to a good start, the Yelp said they were open.

Overflow Cafe is 1 of my 20 favorite non-chain restaurants…read more This is one of the many local restaurants that I love for the concept but a lot more than that. The place is a ministry of sorts, as it's like the food version of a Christian Store, but less Bible thumpy, or as a paraphrase of their slogan says, "spreading the gospel through hospitality and love." How is this relevant to someone who doesn't want to go to a Christian restaurant? Very! You'll see Christian decor, and the "owner" (he hates titles, but he DID found the place) is a reverend, but they won't be preaching to you unless you ask of it. The best part restaurant-wise is that almost all funds for the place come from church offering, and the workers are volunteers, so you are basically paying for the food and nothing else. In other words, the food is worth half of what you're paying for! I got the most expensive sandwich, the Overflow Club, with pasta salad and a sweet tea all for about $9! On top of that, although a smaller server than I'd like (I got 2 of those cups) the pasta salad was the best pasta salad I've had in a while. While all surrounding restaurants will charge at least twice the price, Overflow Cafe supports the neighborhood with many different phenomenal events, cheaper price, and fantastic hospitality not ot mention great art! If you ever in Cambridge, go to 400 Muir Street for this experience. It's only coincidental that my journal (to the right of the table) is very fitting for this place haha.

This place is very quaint and comfortable, the food is delicious and for the price it's unbeatable…read more Friendly staff and will hit the spot every time. We love it!
