Fabulous food. Wonderful atmosphere. One of the best places in town. Can't wait to go back.

This spot basically checks all the boxes: good, reasonably priced sandwiches, great service and…read moresuper cute vibes. The interior is well designed, and the outdoor seating is pleasant. We ordered the BLTT and prosciutto parma. Both were solid, but we preferred the BLTT. The sandwiches are well constructed -- would be good picnic sandwiches! I enjoyed the bread -- it has integrity without being too hard to bite through. The BLTT is an elevated BLT with turkey, and the basil mayo and saba (which I believe adds a sweetness) are a nice touch. I loved that they didn't skimp on the prosciutto in the prosciutto parma, and the sharp tanginess from the slaw was a nice contrast to the fatty prosciutto and ricotta -- though some bites were just a bit too acidic, making the BLTT our preference. All the ingredients tasted high quality and well thought out. The BLTT was $12 and the prosciutto parma was $13, which might be on the higher end for sandwiches but not unreasonable for a meal, especially considering how good the ingredients are, in my opinion. I'd definitely return to try their other options, too!

Second time here and it blew us away even more!…read more We have gotten the BLTT, Prosciutto de Parma, and the Spicy Italian. All were some of best sandwiches I've had. The BLTT was our favorite of the three, but all blew us away! Scallion potato salad is great too. I love that the meat is local and so much of their sauces and everything are homemade which we always appreciate. Service is always friendly and restaurant is always clean. Fun to browse their unique and local grocery items while you're waiting for your food. They also have some good Happy Hour deals! For special dietary needs: they have gluten free bread and you can make any sandwich into a salad (for keto, gf, etc).

I'm telling you... Either I'm having really good luck picking restaurants and getting…read morerecommendations or restaurants in La Crosse Wisconsin are just on another level. I was driving through this time on my way to Chicago and stumbled upon Fork & Fable Crafthouse. Wow. Just wow. From the outside it was pretty unassuming and after walking through the outdoor seating area to go inside to the host stand, we opted to go back out and grab a table outside since it was beautiful. The inside of the restaurant looked a little like a sports bar from what I saw and the outdoor space was small, but had four nice tables with umbrellas. I wish I could remember our server's name because she was one of the managers for the front of house and was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive. These brussels sprouts were unlike any I have ever had. They were deliciously crispy, like I have had before, but these also came with grapes, candied pecans, whipped feta cheese topped with an olive oil and a hot maple drizzle. The Ahi tuna salad was pretty straightforward, but they elevated it with a seaweed salad on top of the greens and it came with a house made wasabi vinaigrette that packed such a delicious punch. My only regret was coming here for lunch on a road trip so I couldn't indulge on one of their craft cocktails because they sounded amazing. Before I left, I got to chat with the owners and they were great guys. It definitely reinforced the need to support local businesses like this that are doing it well. I appreciated the whole experience and I hope I get an opportunity to come back again soon.

Our first time, we sat at the bar and had a Bloody Mary, and it was great! The second time, we sat in the restaurant and ate off the menu. The brussel sprouts are every nbit as good as they look; they're savory and sweet and the textures are amazing. The service both times was great; the people are friendly and give great recommendations. The restaurant is clean and bright. 10/10 will go again next time we're in town.

It's the kind of place that doesn't just serve food, it serves belonging. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm "Good morning, hon!" and my friend had a coffee that could wake the dead (or at least a sleep-deprived newcomer). The décor is charmingly vintage, like your grandma's kitchen met a roadside diner and they decided to raise pancakes together. I ordered the chicken sandwich for breakfast! Don't judge it's a thing. because I didn't know what I was doing, and wow--turns out Rosie knows exactly what I needed. It wasn't fancy, but it was perfect. The staff made me feel like I'd been coming there for years. They joked, they chatted, they refilled my soda before I even realized I needed it. It was the kind of kindness that makes a city feel like home. Rosie's isn't just a café--it's a welcome mat with syrup on top. If you're new to La Crosse, start here. You'll leave full, caffeinated, and smiling.
