Bloody Mary and chaser
Angie L.

What a great place! We were in town over Spring Break and this place was close to our AirBnB. We were told to try the brussel sprouts but knew little else about the place. Our first time, we sat at the bar and had a Bloody Mary, and it was great! The second time, we sat in the restaurant and ate off the menu. The brussel sprouts are every nbit as good as they look; they're savory and sweet and the textures are amazing. The service both times was great; the people are friendly and give great recommendations. The restaurant is clean and bright. 10/10 will go again next time we're in town.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. We sat on the patio which was nice with the great weather. The food was good. We had macaroni and cheese with chicken, a turkey sandwich, and the chef burger. The service was good, but not super speedy. Overall, a good experience.

Delicious bloody

Had some business in lacrosse and wanted bloody marys.. this place came up as one of the best in the area.. cool place, great staff. The bloody was good, probably not in my personal top 5, but delicious. Menu looked good, hope to come back and try some food soon.

Mahi-mahi, rather tasty!

Angry Bird pizza, delicious. Chicken, jalapeños, white sauce with a spicy chile drizzle. Very on point, crust is fantastic.

This place has a fantastic menu, we eat here regularly. The service staff is super friendly and they speak very knowledgeably to the menu items. They regularly do a special of the day that is unique and tasty.

Best Irish Coffee in town!

I come here for the quality food and friendly staff. I'm very impressed by the way the owners have built up this landmark. Definitely one of La Crosse's finest and cost friendly dining experiences

Cheese curds

Wonderful service and delicious food! We sat outside with our two dogs and enjoyed some of the best cheese curds we have ever had! Also enjoyed a pan fried fish fry and chef burger. Service was wonderful and they were very accomodating and brought water for the dogs.

Banana Custard French Toast. Fantastic!

Two thumbs up from me Pretty good craft beer choices Great food and service This place definitely looks like a townie dive from the outside. Thought we would walk in and the jukebox would turn off and everyone would turn and stare. Warmly welcomed right away. Staff was super friendly and informative about the food and drink menu. They don't have as wide of a selection of beer as Bodega does downtown LAX, but what they do have is very solid. Maybe 8 taps and twenty or so in cans. They also have a local Untappd Badge right now which is what drew us there in the first place. They have a weekend brunch and it did not disappoint in the least. The Banana Custard French Toast was one of the best things I have had to eat in awhile. My traveling companion really enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. We both agreed it was our favorite meal of the trip and it was not even close to the most expensive.

Food! Seared tuna with aioli sauce....

Love this place. The ahi tuna salad and nachos are both fabulous and the burgers are solid. It's great for lunch or a casual date night.

The BEST one I've ever had. I will be begging the bartenders to teach me their ways before they close their doors. This is our top choice in town to celebrate accomplishments and achievements. The tavern and patio offer a more casual ambiance, while the restaurant itself is chic and has an element of more formality. The staff is always ALWAYS incredible and thoughtful. The food is always on point, interesting, and flavorful. This place will be well-missed come March, but I know I will be back here plenty in the mean time to get my fill and and support this staff before then.

We were so fortunate that they were able to seat us on the outdoor patio facing the water. This restaurant isn't just great for the views--the food and drinks here were phenomenal as well. Our appetizers of beer-battered cheese curds and mussels were so flavorful and hit the spot. We also loved our fish tacos and linguini with scallops (I absolutely loved the crushed red pepper that came with it too!). Our food all paired nicely with their extensive cocktail/drinks menu, which included many different breweries and distilleries. This is one of those restaurants you'll remember visiting forever--definitely come visit if you can!

The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding--perfectly seasoned, rich, and easily one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. The chicken Parmesan was just as impressive--crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. You can tell they really care about the experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot--definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

My husband and I just finished our second dinner here and once again sat there wondering how this level of food is casually happening in our small town. Start with the whipped ricotta (sweet-sour cherry jam, pistachios, mint, warm filone bread). It's the kind of dish that makes the whole table go silent except for the occasional "wow! The stuffed mushrooms with house-made giardiniera (served in a little old-school paper cup) are ridiculous. Then the meatballs. Listen carefully: these are the best meatballs we have ever had. Ever. Tender, moisty as hell, clearly packed with Parmesan or some kind of Italian wizardry. Absolutely absurd. Entrées like the Americano Bianco, chicken vodka parmesan, and the deeply comforting spaghetti alla vodka (find meatballs in this one) all deliver. We still haven't managed to catch the lasagna bolognese because it sells out every night -- apparently you need to arrive before about 6:30 if you want a fighting chance. And dessert? The banana pudding tiramisu is borderline illegal. Bonus detail: the playlist is also tippy tops -- banger after banger that has you swaying in your seat and singing along between bites. La Crosse: PLEASE support this place. Restaurants this creative and special do not show up in small towns very often. If we somehow lose this gem because people stuck with chain restaurants... I will take it personally.

I ordered the ribeye since it came with a soup or salad ANNNNDDD potatoes or veggies. I opted for the French onion soup and some veggies. Holy moly, the cheese on that soup is no joke! It was a delicious soup but it did lack in onions (maybe because it was a small bowl that none got scooped up into it?). I ordered my ribeye medium rare and it came a perfect medium rare. The ribeye itself was of the thinner variety so don't expect a thick steakhouse ribeye. It was still really good though especially because it was so much food for under $30! The turtle cheesecake was TO DIE FOR! Ughhhh I'm a sucker for some caramel and chocolate in a cheesecake. I wish I lived here because I would be a regular for sure.
