After searching Ron Faiola's WI supper club list, we made reservations at Beedle's and it was a good thing we did. The dining room and bar filled up fast! We had a booth in the dimly lit dining room. Our server, Tori, was okay, but if we go back in the future we'd definitely request a table in Jacob's section. He was far more informative about the menu and specials (it was like pulling teeth with Tori), was very friendly, and checked in/cleared some plates a couple times when he was passing by. Beedle's salad bar was an average size. We avoided the iceberg lettuce as a lot of it was brown, and went with romaine instead, but they had a good selection of salad toppings as well as potato salad, coleslaw, beets, etc. The salad bar also offered a Moroccan stew for the night. The Coulee Combo appetizer was big, and contained deep fried mushrooms, onion rings and cheese curds. I ordered a cosmopolitan and it was seriously the most bland cosmo I've had. I don't know if they were running low on lime juice and cranberry juice, but it was one sad drink. For entrees we both had the prime rib and it was magnificent. You pretty much didn't need a knife it was that tender, and the seasoning was just right. We wrapped up our meal by sharing a Brandy Alexander and it was daunting in size and tasted delightful. To close, make reservations, request Jacob as your server, watch out for that iceberg lettuce & avoid the cosmopolitan, and order the prime rib and an ice cream drink for dessert!! read more

Beedle's Bar & Restaurant does two things very well: food and service. I have had many meals here, and all of them were delicious. I'm not sure if the folks making the food are chefs or cooks, but the dishes they send out of the kitchen are done perfectly. On a related topic, kudos to Beedle's for letting the customer choose at the soup and salad bar. The offerings are fresh, appealing, and seasonal. The service, too, is exceptional. The staff is friendly, well trained, and professional. Whether you gather in the bar or in the restaurant, you won't be disappointed at Beedle's Bar & Restaurant. Beedles has never disappointed in our past many visits, but I was very disappointed they no longer serve the Beedles burger or any burger Saturday. The salad bar was great as usual, I had to settle for the shrimp Alfredo, but it couldn't compare to the burger. read more

Great food and drink! I thought I had been transported back to the 70's. The service was phenomenal. They have dozens of martinis and the ones we tried were marvelous. Tragically, they ran out of prime rib when I was there so I had steak tips and a lobster tail. And for the price we got a lot of food and drink. I think the prices are reasonable. I visited recently with friends to wrap up a fun Saturday, as we hadn't quite had our fill of catching up, or Wisconsin cuisine (ie, fried cheese curds!) Arriving after dark, we seated ourselves at a high top at the bar. It was already a full house that night, and the cheerful buzz in the air was infectious. We ordered fried cheese curds to start, and I decided on a lighter entree of Brunswick stew at my server's recommendation. The cheese curds are a must-order if you're visiting Wisconsin. With a light batter crust, it's the perfect indulgence to start our your meal. The Brunswick stew was hot and filling, making sure I wouldn't go to bed hungry that night. Throughout the meal our glasses stayed full and plates were cleared despite the full house. I would give no stars if possible. The food is extremely expensive and horrible. The service was ok, except for 2 issues. My glass was cracked and the server just poured my drink into another glass. My spouse ordered a drink and was given a "tall" but was never asked if that's what he wanted. I would not recommend this place to anyone; it's more bar than restaurant. read more

This place is great! The bar has an excellent martini menu. The gentleman behind the bar was fantastic...he was a martini master! I had the best Grey Goose martini I've ever had...in a tiny town in Wisconsin....hard to believe! After our drinks at the bar we headed to the restaurant section for dinner. Again, it was delicious! You know, this unfortunately is a dying breed, the classic Wisconsin supper club. A good old fashion, locals sitting at the bar, super friendly service, soup and salad bar, and outstanding food. We arrived at 5 for 6 o'clock reservation, found our table already ready, told the hostess we wanted a drink at the bar, no problem was her response, enjoy. So, I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered a tuna steak medium rare with some trepidation. Surprise, surprise her tuna arrived medium rare, amazing that two thirds of the restaurants we eat at can't even get that close to right. Of course my prime rib was spot on. Nicest part is they concentrated on quality over quantity. The sides were perfectly portioned and very tasty. Just enough but not to much and the salad bar was well stocked and everything was fresh. We stopped at Beedle's to have a drink on our way to a different restaurant for dinner. After one drink we decided to stay... the service at the bar was outstanding. , and the specials were enticing enough to make us forget we had prior reservations. We had the grouper special with asparagus and hollandaise, and the 14oz prime rib, which is offered five nights a week, and added an additional serving of pan-fried walleye. The food was exceptional. The grouper and walleye were among the best we've ever had. The prime rib was seasoned perfectly, came with their own creamy horseradish, and cooked to perfection... not too fatty but just the right ratio. All you can eat salad bar and soup, bread is included, and for dessert our server Max personally made a chocolate cake with ganache, whipped cream and ice cream. I want to come here again and again... this family run establishment was well worth the 3 hour drive from Milwaukee. Will definitely be telling everyone I know to come here. read more

Since my original review in '18, we have actually been back multiple times. The first time back was just for drinks and the service and drinks were great so we came back for the food as well. I am guessing we just had bad luck with our server and the food that first time, because since then it has been a great place on our to go list. Last time we were there we had the filet, the salmon, and the ahi and everyone was very happy with their choices.. Happy that we live close to such a great place! read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The bartender Brad always welcomes you in and says Good night and thanks for coming as you leave. The chef is also pretty skilled. The soup and salad bar is always fresh and tasty. If the grouper is on the menu get it you won't be disappointed. The tenderloin tips is something I regularly crave. We'd driven by so many times while visiting in the area. The outside is very deceiving since it looks like a bar and grill type of place. It's a nice place to get some good food! The salad bar is great with everything looking and tasting fresh. Everyone liked their meals. They were much busier than they had planned but other servers helped out where needed and our server was very nice and apologetic about any delays. We'll be back! Well.... we went back. Service was decent but it did take them a long time to get us a bottle of wine. I made the mistake of ordering the prime rib. It was horrible! I ordered it rare, as a prime rib should be. I got a gray, dry slab of... something. It looked more like pork than beef. My husband's filet looked pretty good and was cooked to the right doneness. I don't know why they can't figure out the same for the prime rib. I guess I'd go back again but would stay away from the prime rib. read more

I came today to Beedle's I'm originally from California. Had their AHI- do not eat it!!!!! It's frozen !! no taste.. thawed out and dry. Their " fresh vegetables" are frozen from a bag . I could taste the water from them being cooked after being frozen. Our server cierra I believe was her name was amazing . She tried to make things right but her superior did not allow her to. The cheese cake was very good. As for my drink - Mojito- the spearmint needed to be crushed into the glass not thrown in . It really makes a difference on the taste. Lesson learned won't go back! read more
