My husband order the daily special fish, he said was good. 2 of us had the tips, they were ok, not bad, not good, ok. My blackened tips had mushrooms and chunks of bacon all over it which I was not expecting - the description didnt mention that so I was disappointed. My son seemed to enjoy his regular tips. Our 4th person had the chicken sandwich, she was good. The meal was not bad, but nothing to get excited about - perhaps the cooking style more geared toward the locals??

Simple, solid bar food done right...the fried mushrooms were delicious. We liked it enough to come back, this time with our son. He had the Reuben, my husband went with the patty melt, and both were great. I tried the broasted chicken, which was a touch salty but still good overall. What really sets Neuie's apart is the atmosphere. It's a comfortable, welcoming neighborhood bar...not too loud, not too dark. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy a conversation over a good meal. Good service as both waitresses were very attentive. We'll definitely be back.

I came late and they didn't have seating at the main table so I sat next to the group on the side. Finally, I went to the establishment, and I liked its look and feel. The staff, while not overly friendly, acknowledged me. The bar was clean, and the drink and beer options were good. Some of the food items worth mentioning: the double Smash is solid and worthy if you want one of their more "plainer" burgers. The Defibrillator is really, really good! This burger is a lot of food, and unless you are under 25 and a glutton, I'd share this one. It is about 2/3 lbs of burger. The other part of the equation for this burger is that it has chicken fried bacon in it. Batter-fried bacon? Who'd have thunk? I didn't look, but if this is not on the appetizer menu, it should be. Cheese curds are solid and best eaten hot...of course The beer menu is OK. you will get a few stalwart craft breweries intermixed with your standard corporate beers.

I also opted for their Happy Hour special of Buy 2 draft beers get one free. I didn't ask before starting to drink.... if I have someone joining me, can we split the drinks? On my second beer bartender Austin produced like a poker chip for the free beer, stating I could use it today or another time. When my guest arrived we were discussing the chip... me "where did I put it?" Them "back in your purse" ...no, no I did not! When Austin came around I asked if he had taken the chip? He said he had, to use for my friends beer. Cleared that up and was met with: no they're on their own, I will use that token, ha. But good to know you can essentially split them and I should have! The tap beer options aren't overwhelming and aren't sparse as I was able to opt for three separate craft breweries. For the burgers; I opted for the Wildfire and them for the Bacon Cheeseburger. When I adjusted mine for no pickles, onions or jalapenos, Austin replied: so just a cheeseburger then? I responded: no, because it also has the special sauce. My friend opted for a side of coleslaw.... which was just coleslaw, nothing special. I opted for fries, they were good. The three included w the price side options are: fries, kettle chips & coleslaw. Parking was easy w their private lot. I really liked the digs and they weren't too loud.
