Stopped into the bar for a casual meal during a hunting trip in the area. Stepping inside you…read morecould immediately feel an upbeat vibe from the music, lighting and laughter in the air. We grabbed a couple seats at the bar and were greeted by the bartender. She dropped a couple cold adult beverages in front of us and asked if we were going to eat which we promptly said yes! She brought us menus and we ordered a burger and fries and a special for the night - walleye fingers, also ordered with fries. The food took awhile and we weren't surprised because there was a sign going into the kitchen that kind of hinted at that in a humorous way. The French fries may be the best I've ever had, great seasoning, crisp and hot. The order size was borderline huge. The walleye was breaded lightly and tasted like any walleye I've had - great. The burger was reported to be great too. Not sure if I'll ever make it back, but highly recommend for anyone who's in the area for a great casual meal at a reasonable price. Sorry about no pictures, we were pretty tired from 6 days of hunting.

We have very much enjoyed Newcomb Valley in the past. However, a recent experience with rude…read moreservice left a bad taste in our mouths. We came in and it was fairly busy, but not a big deal- we got a drink at the bar and hung out. We were seated by the owner about 15 minutes later. The meal felt a bit rushed- pretty much the second we sat down the waitress asked us what we wanted. When we did get the meal, some of the food was cold. But we ordered a second drink, and ate our meals. One hour and two minutes after we were seated (I looked at my step monitor to double check), the OWNER came up to us and said "I could really use this table. You cant stay here all night". Mind you- all of us still had at least a quarter of our drinks and one still had their food! We probably would have left within ten minutes. It was like they had set a timer. I understand from reviews elsewhere that this experience was not an anomaly. Serving all of your customers on busy nights is a noble goal- and it would be one thing if we had been nursing a water for two hours- but this is simply too rushed and incredibly rude. If they do this too often, I fear they won't have too many busy nights in their future.
