I booked this hotel through Airbnb not really knowing what exactly to expect. It EXCEEDED my expectations. My husband is a huge music fan and was blown away by this hotel. The entire staff was incredible! Externally helpful and kind. They were a blast to talk to, especially Cisco and Carley! We loved all of the music memorabilia around the hotel, and the record players in the rooms, SO COOL! The entire hotel was aesthetically pleasing and being right next to Fenway so just so cool. The breakfast was perfect. We weren't expecting to eat breakfast at the hotel, but because we were running late, a grab and go breakfast was exactly what we didn't know we needed. We will definitely be back someday!!!!

Super cool hotel full of rock n roll history and memorabilia. We were worried that it was would really gimmicky and kinda lame but it's anything but! So much has gone into making a cohesive image from start to finish. The lobby feels like you just walked into a rock star's home, the rooms are like backstage rooms at a show. You can borrow albums from the lobby to take back to your room to play on the record player. Everything was really clean. I loved that there's a small fan in the room so we didn't have to play fan sounds on our phone. We aren't breakfast people so we didn't take advantage of that. My husband ate at Hojoko and really enjoyed it. The location is great. We were seeing a show at MGM. Able to walk around easily. The staff was extremely friendly. Would stay again!

"I get my thing in action (Verb!) To be, to sing, to feel, to live (Verb!) (That's what's happenin')" My verbs: Rock The turntables in the rooms are a nice touch. The record libary is pretty decent. There is something for everyone. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask. I used to have a vinyl collection, and it was nice to revisit some old favorites. Check out Every Picture Tells a Story (Rod Stewart) and The Clash [UK version] (The Clash). Sleep Well, the queen bed was pretty comfy. I didn't appreciate the partiers loudly returning to their rooms at 1:15 am. I was here for a week, and this happened on more than one weeknight. If I ever return I will reserve a trailer. Eat I am vegan, and my options at breakfast were above-average. I went for the waffles and the banana muffin. They also had some decent fruit. Hey, Verb, how about some hot and cold cereals (with non-dairy milk, please)? Mirian always welcomed me with a smile on her face. Pay My comrade (and other Yelpers) complained about the hidden daily room fees, but I thought that theverbhotel.com was upfront about it. Work paid for my trip, so I guess I don't care, but it seems to me that if one does the math, one can find better deals in this area. Michelle and her crew were cool, though. I didn't eat at Hojoko (not enough vegan options). I didn't exercise (no gym). I never got over my jet lag. Tip your breakfast attendants and housekeeping staff, please. https://www.schoolhouserock.tv/Verb.html One last verb: Deal Hey, Verb, I have a cool idea. If you offer some vegan versions of old Howard Johnson's breakfast items (e.g., hotcakes and sausage), I promise to come back the next time I visit your charming city. P.S. Almost forgot to mention the 15% discount for returning rock stars. That is pretty cool, and it increases the likelihood that I shall return. Speaking of cool, I was in the theater opening night: Ian Faith: The Boston gig has been cancelled... David St. Hubbins: What? Ian Faith: Yeah. I wouldn't worry about it though, it's not a big college town.

Everything was perfect at The Verb! We loved it all. From the area to the hotel service, we will absolutely be back!!!!! A favorite for us Swimming in Boston (in March) in a heated outdoor pool (during an almost full moon). Great experience

Friendly staff, cool vibe with lots of music memorabilia, record players in each room, hotel was clean with free breakfast included, has cute pool, is pet friendly & couldn't be closer to the ballpark! Loved it.

This is my first time at The Verb Hotel and I can say from the first day that it will not be my last. Michelle, Chris and the Front Desk Team were all amazing and made our stay so comfortable and heart warming amidst the pretty cold November weather in Boston. The warm welcome as they check us in, to the farewell and invitation to stay with them again as we checked out. The housekeeping staff were amazing as well as they maintained and kept the room clean and well supplied. The hallways and corridors were spotless and well maintained. The hotel is kept clean everywhere. The room have TV, vinyl record player where you can play vinyl records free of charge and you can borrow as much vinyl record as you can from their vast collection at the lobby. The room also have a fridge, flat iron, and safety deposit box. The hotel have a parking lot and valet service, a heated swimming pool, free bottled waters, and they have their own bar and a Japanese restaurant named Hojoko. Highly recommended. Check it out!

This hotel was so amazing and cool. I was gagged when I walked inside. I love the vibe and decor. The room was spacious and clean. You get a record player in your room. The have breakfast included. You pay an amenity fee when you arrive. They kind of tell you at the last minute. That's the only con. But it's worth it, if you're staying for a couple days or more. With the fee, it includes breakfast, unlimited water, pool access and you can play records in your room. A few records already come in your room, but you get more in the lobby. When I visit Boston, I'll definitely come back here. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Verb Hotel definitely has a.vibe. The hotel, formerly the Fenway Motor in and then a Howard Johnson's, has a unique look inside and out. The location is a stone's throw from Fenway! The hotel has "groovy" decor with rock & roll and pop artifacts sprinkled throughout. Every room has a turntable and your stay includes the ability to borrow any record from the collection in the lobby. There is also complimentary hot coffee & cold brew, as well as bottled water. Breakfast (included) is served in the adjoining restaurant. Items available included smoothies, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and waffles. We ate outside and enjoyed the lovely weather. The pool is not huge, but it is a lovely oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms have comfortable bedding. We had a standard room, but there are upgraded rooms such as pool view and rooms with a patio facing Fenway. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. When visiting Boston we usually stay in Back Bay, but the Verb was a nice change.

We came as a family to support one of our own in running the Boston Marathon. The Verb is cool and funky and a great location. We loved the Elton John room with a balcony we had. The entire staff was continually friendly and helpful. The highlight of our stay was the after party from the race. Thank you to the rock star of the hotel Gabby for securing an area for our family to toast Nicholas in his life goal to run the Boston. The beer truck and music out front were so much fun as well. Also the housekeeping staff did an amazing job keeping the property so clean. I 100 percent recommend this property!

EXCELLENT all the way around. First if you're a baseball fan, this is the place for you if you're going to a game or just want to be in the "hype" of Fenway! Excellent location from the airport as well! Overall there's plenty to do around the hotel and restaurants on site! Pool is glorious, you can choose records to bring to your room, rooms are SUPER clean. If you're an influencer or a wanna-be, this is also an epic photo spot! 100% recommend!

Bring yourself back to the 70's ! Staff was extremely friendly!! One of the best parts of the stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was great, hardly anyone there. . They serve a breakfast in The morning. Waffles, yogurt, bagels, cereal coffee, juice and hard boiled eggs. Nothing special but nice to have included. The price was steep at $500 plus $68 park and $32 resort fee. But the closeness to Fenway was perfect. No Ubers needed. Very good location. There is a Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel where you can get food and drinks. Only downside is they don't open until 5pm. So We did not get to try. It would be nice if it opened at noon. To have drinks and food available poolside. This is Not a 5 star hotel as you might think from the prices. I think the prices might be better on days when there's not a Red Sox game. Definitely would stay again. We did enjoy our stay.

Outstanding customer service from everyone we encountered. Extremely quiet room with fun decor.

Best boutique hotel in Boston! The Verb Hotel (theverbhotel.com). Look for the "backstage" rooms which are modeled after "talent trailers", but with all the comforts of a great hotel room. Comes with a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks, included. Everyone there who we interacted with was friendly, happy, energized and competent! #boston #boutiquehotel #travel #hotel #best

On the surface, this hotel presents as polished and upscale, but over time it became clear that it is a full-on Monet--looks good at a glance, but the closer you get, the more issues appear. During my stay, I was required to move rooms three times--once voluntarily after an upgrade, and twice due to serious maintenance issues, including a sprinkler-system flood. In subsequent rooms, I experienced repeated heating failures, inconsistent hot water, and even a shower head detaching during use. The heating issues were ongoing and never fully resolved. On multiple occasions, my room dropped to 66-67 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 80. Even after maintenance visits, the room never consistently warmed beyond 75 degrees. On the morning before my departure, I woke to cold air blowing again, confirming the problem persisted through the end of my stay. Management follow-through was disappointing. Promises to check back or assist were not kept, and communication was inconsistent at best. While beverage credit was offered, it did not come close to addressing the cumulative disruption, lack of rest, and stress caused by ongoing room issues over nearly seven weeks. The saving grace of this hotel was the weekday bartender, Rebecca. Monday through Friday, she greeted my colleagues and me with genuine warmth, professionalism, and grace after very long workdays. She was consistently excellent. Unfortunately, that level of service was not present on weekends, and our group ultimately chose to avoid the hotel bar until Rebecca returned. That said, I do want to acknowledge Shirley, Wendy, James, and Nate, who were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, as well as the valet staff, who were always efficient and courteous. This hotel may work for a very short stay if expectations are modest. For long-term or extended stays, however, the operational issues, lack of follow-through, and inconsistent hospitality do not align with the image or price point the property presents.

There's a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and a nice area to eat. It had a sofa and a small flat screen tv that you can adjust on a mount. The layout was good for our needs. The issue was housekeeping. At first glance there were some crumbs in the kitchen and a few hairs in the tub , and dirty kitchen items. I called the hotel and left 4 messages with the accounting manager (I never received a call back) and tried for 9 days straight (to include filing multiple claims with Marriott Corporate) and they refused to refund me for the extra night and valet for the night. Their justification was that my car was parked in their garage that night (they must have a way to manipulate the valet time stamp) so they could not refund me for the night because that means we were at the hotel. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had.
