Pros: Room was clean, hotel staff members minded their own business, walkable to a lot of places I wanted to be at, microwave and vending machine and free coffee on the first floor! Cons: Even on the higher floors, it was still noisy and you can hear sounds from the street. The creepy ass portrait of the woman right above our bed... Please remove it. I see i'm not the only person complaining about it. HER EYES FOLLOW YOU WHEREVER YOU'RE LOOKING AT HER FROM... Also, if you walk down the stairs, there are these very scary painting of a woman in red who's extremely tall. I literally had nightmares about her roaming the hallways one of the night. Check-in staff, Ben, was very friendly, to the point and efficient. Check-out staff, a shorter girl (didn't get her name) was rude, and could care less about my stay. A simple, "how was your stay?" would have been nice. Overall, I'll probably stay here again if I come back to Boston. Value: 3/5 - Booked the non-studio King room ~2 months ago through the hotel website for the "best rate". - ~$422 a night seemed steep for what you get, but likely due to timing (graduation) and location (Back Bay). I understand other hotels in the area cost much more. Rates dropped by half during our stay. Politely contacted the manager, and though I initially didn't get a response, they sent the response to the wrong address. Ultimately, got a $345 credit towards a $1,265 stay. So, $307 a night. My rating doesn't really change due to lack of in-room amenities. - Location is close to several stations: Back Bay station for the T (orange line) and Amtrak and Copley (green line). - Hotel has 2 elevators. One is extremely small. The other is regular sized if you have more luggage or people. Both are very slow. Amenities: 3/5 - Our room had an in-room safe, small fridge/freezer, hair dryer, ironing, and toiletries. Scratchy towels. NO microwave or in-room coffee maker. - Common room is on the ground floor with a microwave, coffee machine, and vending machines with actually reasonably priced items, along with contraception! - No on-site guest laundry even though they have a sign that says they do. Cleanliness: 5/5 Comfort: 4/5 - Bed was a little soft for me, and the space is very small. AC had trouble cooling off to a comfortable sleeping temp. The common areas were very warm, so we were sweating. - Bathroom hardware needs fixing. Shower plate was loose. Sink cabinet edges were worn, scuffed, and scratched. Took a bit to understand how to get the right temp and pressure. Ambiance: 5/5 - Room and hotel in a modern but semi-historical style. - Cute, elegant little bar and cafe downstairs. Recently had the chance to stay at this hotel and had a decent stay. This hotel was built in 1891, so it's got a lot of historic charm. The lobby is super cute and simple. We had a car rental so we chose to valet which cost $65/night. It was pretty steep, but we were centrally located to everything which was a nice bonus. Our hotel room was 214. We liked the room, mostly the decor and furniture, but there were definitely some things that could use an upgrade. The doors were old, the switches and the outlets were the dated yellow ones, and our sink was rusting in the bathroom. This hotel is a great location in Back Bay with more reasonable pricing than other hotels nearby. Our room was no thrills or anything, but the lighting in it was terrible. Our room had a small "hallway" from the front door to the main sleeping area, and there was no light in that area, which made for a very dark experience while entering the room. I was not a fan of that all plus the main mirror was in that hallway and you could barely see due to the lack of light. The staff was very pleasant though, and the vending machines in the communal area were very impressive to say the least. Do you know that you can get Plan B from a vending machine in Boston? I had a very disappointing stay at Copley Square Hotel and would not return. I paid over $1,200 for four nights and only got one decent night of sleep. Before I even arrived, I called to shift my check-in by one day and was met with a rude and dismissive staff member who talked over me and showed no interest in helping. When I finally did arrive, the first room had a broken AC motor that squealed and rumbled loudly all night. I was moved to a smaller room--just one bed instead of the two I had paid for--and that room's AC was even worse: it blew hot air even when turned off, making the room uncomfortably warm. I had to sleep with the window open in freezing temps, with traffic noise all night. The AC was finally fixed on the last night. Beyond that, the elevator was out of service during my stay, and the room had what appeared to be blood stains on the floor and hair/stains on the pillows--completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially at this price point. I contacted management and only after months did the manager, Jordan, get back to me. His offer? A discounted rate and complimentary upgrade for a future stay. I don't plan on coming back to Boston, and that response does nothing to address the money I paid or the poor experience I had. We have paid 350+ a night to stay. Our room was nice at check in but after returning from dinner the entire room was filed with noise. We figured it would settle but from 8-11 pm the entire room has been so loud the floor is actually shaking, even after turning the fan on full blast and putting in ear plugs. We called the front desk multiple times and all they could say was "there's an event downstairs" and "there no other rooms so we can't do anything." I don't know why they would schedule an event so late on a weekday, why they would put guest directly above the event space if the noise is an issue, or how they don't have control over their own property but this place clearly doesn't care about their guests. Not sure where all of these exemplary reviews come from. I checked in Friday afternoon by myself, on a quest to take a day off from my kids, and work and to just take time for myself. I was not expecting the Ritz Carlton, but based on the photos on line, I was expecting a perfectly cozy spot in a boutique to hang out in for the night. Ben at the front desk was very nice. When I got upstairs to my floor, my first impression was that the common area was a bit shabby and reminded me a bit like a boarding house. The room was a good size but unusually dark. The bed looked comfortable, there was nothing cheerful about the room. The bathroom in my room was nothing more than what looked like a closet that had been transformed into a bathroom. It, too, was pretty shabby. It was just unacceptable and so I picked up my things and found a room across the street at the Westin, which was perfectly lovely. I have only done this once in my whole life with another hotel. The next morning when I went back to the Copley to formally check out and pick up my car which I left overnight because I had already prepaid to park, no one even asked me how my stay was. She just asked me for my room number, poked at her computer for two seconds and said goodbye. Had she done so, I would've explained why I never stayed in the room at all. When a website booking fell completely short and wouldn't stand behind their mistake (Algotels.com), she helped my family unravel their terrible incompetence. Staff was responsive as well, room was clean and luxurious. Perfect centralized location to great food, shopping, sightseeing and most of all our RedSox games. We had a wonderful experience at the Copley Hotel. Our room was clean and cozy and had all the essentials. The decor was so cute and chic and had a very old-timey vibe. We stayed for 5 nights and our room was cleaned every day (unless we specified we didn't want it). There was 24 hr free coffee and tea as well. The lobby and reception were all very clean and the location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance from almost anywhere in Boston (we walked all the way to the Waterfront). It's just a few minutes walk from the Boston Commons and Beacon Hill. All around, highly recommend. read more

I was honestly impressed by how nice this hotel was - and it looked even better in real life than it did in pictures. The building seemed to be recently restored but still had a retro feel to it. Our room had a great city view and it was cleaner daily. The service at the front desk was great, especially the lady who tried really hard to find us something to eat at 10pm. As a plus, it was really great to get free bottled water. It's pretty expensive to stay here (like everywhere else in this part of Boston), but I had no regrets paying extra to spend a few days at such a great place. read more

This is actually a nightmare hotel, and I'd be a liar if I suggested otherwise. It reeks of mildew and mold, the staff is unprofessional and unhelpful, and it's inconveniently lacking modern amenities befitting of a standard luxury hotel. My sister treated me to a trip to Boston for my birthday and mistakenly made a reservation at this hotel, believing it would be an equal accomodation to hotels like Boston Plaza, Marriott, and/or Fairmont Copley. It is indeed not even equivalent to a Motel 6. Upon entering the hotel, you will notice there is not concierge or a doorman to assist you with luggage. There was neither a valet nor assistant to greet you upon entry. The desk staff were not dressed in standard uniform. The male staff member had a t-shirt and appeared in a state of disorientation and inability to do his job. The female staff member, Claudia, wore a newsboy cap and frequently ran in and out of the lobby to appear busy. My sister and I, despite knowing this was not the best greeting we've received in our history of travels, proceeded to check in, hoping the hotel would improve once I got my room key. Indeed, it did not. The first room I was assigned, room 620, is riddled with mold and mildew odors, does not receive telephone nor internet service, and has a fault air conditioning vent. After attempting to get the television and internet to work, I attempted to use the room phone to call downstairs. It was dead and incapable of being used. Instead, I used my cell phone to call downstairs to the front desk. The male staff member answered the phone and immediately put me on hold without waiting for a response, and when he did finally return to answer the phone, HE HUNG UP ON ME. Knowing that this was a bad omen, I packed up my belongings and headed downstairs to the lobby. I was still, foolishly, hoping the reservation could improve at this point. My sister, who had returned to her nearby residence, was infuriated and en route to receive an explanation for the issues. Once I interacted with the male staff member again, he seemed unaware of how to actually help with anything and immediately got his manager. He did not apologize for my inconvenience or even attempt to find me another room. Claudia does all of the talking. Interacting with Claudia is actually useless as she was immediately confrontational and asked why I didn't call. When I told her that I indeed DID call and was hung up on, she didn't acknowledge that and told me "someone can come fix the tv." When she used the walkie to contact the maintenance man, Mustafa, I could hear him yelling "620 always have problems with internet!" Claudia scurried to the back room again without acknowledging me or my concerns. I decided to walk away from the desk to avoid any further disappointment; I proceeded to text my sister, who paid thousands of dollars for this ludicrous hotel reservation, to see what to do next. Claudia, who I assume was done speaking to Mustafa, accosted me and asked what I was doing in that area of the lobby because I "just walked away without saying anything" and asked if required a double room. She spoke to me like a petulant child or pest. I've never met someone in hospitality with the disdain she had for me, my sister, and my brother-in-law. I advised her to not start with me and asked if she would provide a refund if the room did not have double beds. She ended up moving me from moldy 620 to mildewy and urine-smelling 215. The internet did not work there either, neither did the apps for the 'internet tv.' I texted my sister again who was already at the hotel to let her know that information, and she decided to cut any further use of Copley Square and to move me to a hotel I knew was decent - the Marriott Copley. In all, this is a horrific excuse for a hotel. The staff members are inhospitable, unhelpful, and unkind. The male staff member argued with me about checking out early, and then again, used Claudia to do his bidding. Claudia was only less curt and brash when my brother-in-law and sister spoke to her, and insisted that the first night's fees would not be refundable. I cannot imagine why ANYONE would stay in a moldy, smelly hotel with dirty carpet, dusty linens, and horrific staff. I will continue to advise against staying here to any and everyone I know. My family deserves a FULL refund and compensation for our loss of time and potential health hazards, as I am asthmatic and severely allergic to mold. This was my first time in Boston and on the east coast. I was super nervous but the staff at this hotel made me feel super comfortable. I was greeted my a nice young lady the evening of my arrival and I had a few things that were delivered for my work events. They held my packages in their secure room and it was easily obtained once I arrived. Each and every staff member was so nice and I really appreciated it being so far away from home, in a new place. Jo was also very delightful during every interaction. She was nice enough to extend my checkout so I didn't have to wait hours and hours for my flight at the airport. I also enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea near the lobby. Their vending machine also had great options for late night munchies. I wish I was able to eat at Hue, the food and restaurant looked really good! Next time :) waiting at the valet pull up spot was also a great, easy Uber/lyft pickup spot. Unfortunately one of the elevators was down during the last day or two or my stay but other than that, the hotel was able to provide great service and hospitality. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed a hotel very last minute and picked this hotel on a whim based on location and price. And I had the absolute BEST experience! Upon checking in, Joanne at the front desk was absolutely delightful and so helpful. She made great recommendations for my extra free time in the city and made sure I was comfortable. The hotel room was very comfortable, quiet, and the wifi was great. There was no breakfast, and they mentioned that area was under construction - but they did provide a full fridge of water bottles in the lobby to take at your convenience! Beyond Joanne, all the other staff was pleasant and helpful. I didn't experience any negativity (as some other reviews warned). The one thing to note is that the elevator is very slow. I found it much easier to take the big staircase to the 4th floor, rather than wait. But if stairs aren't your thing, definitely ask for a room on a lower floor. read more

The location is great, within walking distance of many tourist sites--the Star Market grocery next door is excellent (like a Safeway or Krogers) --the staff is friendly and helpful--the room was large and the shower was bigger than in many European hotels (Paris, London, Vienna) in this price range--. (The fridge in the room was larger than a dorm fridge; the room had a safe; there were no homeless nearby--as suggested by a negative review.) We would stay there again. The critical reviews i read before coming (but after booking) must have been from tourists who have not been to Europe or who have not been to cities such as San Francisco. The room was very nice, comfortable, and clean. The price wasn't that bad. If you're going to drive use spot hero since valet is your only option in that area and it's $65 / night at the hotel. The overnight desk staff could use some social skills training. Went to ask about the fact that the wifi in my room wasn't working and her initial response was "I just got here. I'm in the middle of...." I further explained that the wifi worked in the hallway but not my room and she gaslit me telling me that she's never heard of that happening in 2 years and it must be a problem with my phone. Like calling Apple she suggested I reboot my phone. When I came in later from being out she informs me too many people were using the wifi and it was using too much bandwidth. The WiFi is very unreliable in the hotel. If you want to have anyone come in to see you late at night be prepared that the front desk staff literally keys the front door and opens it for everyone that goes in and out. I recently had a stay at the Copley Square Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, from August 4th to August 6th. My experience in room 105 left much to be desired. One particularly frustrating incident occurred early Saturday morning when the fire alarm abruptly went off in our room. While I was still sleeping and my partner was in the shower, I had to hastily get dressed and make my way to the main desk to address the situation. The staff member behind the desk seemed nonchalant, immediately asking if we were in room 105. Upon confirming our room number, he assured us that the alarm had been reset and brushed off the issue, attributing the alarm's activation to someone taking a shower. I did say to them the vent in the bathroom was not working properly. It wasn't sucking in any of the steam from the shower. He assured me that it was working. I invited him to come to the room to show him that it was not working and he was not interested in doing so. I also encountered significant issues with the Wi-Fi during my stay at the Copley Square Hotel. Regrettably, the Wi-Fi did not function properly in our room, leaving us disconnected and frustrated. When I brought this concern to the attention of the front desk, the staff member seemed to be in a state of denial, insisting that the Wi-Fi was indeed functioning correctly. After a back-and-forth discussion, the staff reluctantly agreed to credit me $30 for the two-day stay as compensation for the Wi-Fi issue. In all honesty, it was evident that the Wi-Fi did not work as expected in our room, despite the staff's attempts to convince otherwise. This further compounded the overall disappointment of my stay. Continuing with my assessment of the Copley Square Hotel, I must highlight another significant inconvenience during my stay. Remarkably, the room lacked adequate outlets for charging our electronic devices, such as phones and MacBooks. This oversight meant we were unable to conveniently power our essential gadgets. A modern hotel should unquestionably provide the necessary amenities to cater to guests' technological needs. Despite the convenient location of the Copley Square Hotel, these inconveniences and the lackluster response from the staff left a notable stain on what should have been a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The reviews are bad, but I have mostly positive things to say about the 2 nights I spent here. The room was clean, recently renovated, and surprisingly spacious for downtown Boston. I slept well in the plenty comfy bed and found everything I needed in the room, including a fridge, safe, two bottles of water, TV with plenty of channels, etc. It's not a luxurious accommodation by any stretch, but it does the job and does it well. I do wish my room was on a side of the hotel with more light, as it was facing another apartment exterior with an alleyway instead, but I wasn't in my room much anyway. My only other gripe was that one of the elevators was broken for most of my stay, so I had to wait a long time each time for the one elevator to get to my floor, which was the top floor. Overall though, the benefits of staying here outweigh the negatives. The location is super convenient to all the things I wanted to access downtown, just 7 minutes to the T. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to check in early and leave my stuff in a secure location after check-out. In a major city that nonetheless has a serious shortage of hotel rooms for the number of visitors, esp in the high season, hotel rates in Boston are exorbitant. So take a look at the Copley Sq. Hotel--it's good value for the money. And it was the cheapest hotel I could find for the Labor Day weekend, 2022. Major talking point is that it's in a great Back Bay location. Okay, it's really old, circa 1890. And I'm pretty sure it would be prohibitively expensive to update. So along with paying rates from the past, you'll be staying in a boarding house c 1900. Be prepared for many First World challenges. The rooms are tiny, the A/C doesn't really work and is (literally) frozen at 68° (BRRR!!)--call the front desk when you get to your room. The halls are confusing, endless, and dead-end, so I kept getting lost, etc. But its immaculately clean, the bathrooms are redone, with nice toiletries, decent towels, and rain showers (albeit no place to perch your soap??) Front desk help is polite and friendly. And did I mention the amazing location is a lovely hop and skip to the Public Garden, Newbury and Boylston St., the gorgeous Boston Public Library, the T? I'm a returning Boston native--I thought it was a good little hotel for a short vacation. read more

This hotel is in a prime location which is ideal especially for walking. There are a lot of bars and restaurants. The front desk is very vague and very friendly. The rooms are nice and clean so glad about that. However the elevator takes forever we were on the 7th floor (last) and decided to walk down the stairs. Bar is under construction as well. Also house keeping woke us up super early which was not nice. There wasn't even an option to put a do not disturb sign on the door. When I read the reviews I was pretty shocked- I thought this place was a fancy little boutique in the heart of Boston. It is indeed little and in the heart of Boston. Based on feedback I had seen about room size, I immediately asked for a larger space for my husband and our 7 suitcases (we were traveling from our international wedding home for Christmas) and the quickly obliged. We were on the top floor in a king sized bed- I don't know how big the room actually was or if it was one of those coveted "suites" but it wasn't that large considering the many suitcases we had. That's my fault, I don't fault the hotel for this, but just know, you can ask for a larger space. I drop them stars for silly things that shouldn't have been part of our experience. First, the internet was a disaster. Upon arrival my husband needed to get online for work. He ended up on the phone with IT for over an hour, deleting all his cookies and refreshing like a mad man. The internet wasn't working for me either, but they insisted it was us. Finally after and hour of troubleshooting IT reset things on their end and viola! It worked. What a waste of everyone's time after a long flight. In addition, the hotel simply felt dirty and dingy. My husband nearly had an asthma attack after riding an elevator one morning. When we were checking out we were surprised to hear check out is at 11. I got an extension luckily, but check in isn't until 4... these numbers didn't seem to line up or feel fair to patrons. We've stayed at this hotel before about 6 years ago and had a good experience so we decided to book again. It is the most affordable option to stay in the Back Bay area of Boston but hear me now, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. This is a 2 star hotel at best This hotel is absolutely terrible now. The service from the girls at the concierge desk is awful. Long black hair with the manicured nails, I'm talking to you. Work on your RBF (resting b#%^€ face), work on how you speak to your guests. Your future is not bright if you stay the course you're on. If any of my employees acted like you, I would have let you go on the spot. There was no valet parking, even though it was advertised in my booking and there is literally a street sign outside the hotel indicating valet parking. When I realized there was none, I had to drive around Boston without gps in a panic, not relaxing. When I told the RBF lady at the desk, instead of being sympathetic about the experience she tried to throw it in my face that valet parking was never an option and insisted I show her where I saw this. That was our very first experience for our 3 night stay. That night, the safe that was in our room (that we weren't using) was beeping on its own throughout the whole night. I slept through it, my wife did not. We told the front desk about it the next morning and they said they would fix it. The safe continued doing the same thing the second night so obviously nothing got fixed. We told them again the next morning and they said they would fix it again while we were out for the day. When we got back that night, same thing beeping of the safe constantly. I went down to the desk told them our issue was still not fixed so they gave us a new room on a different floor. Before moving all our stuff over at 1am, I checked out the new room and it smelt like sour milk and the A/C did not work. The biggest issue of all was on the second night at 4am. My wife and I woke up to 2 drunk people trying to kick our door in. My wife was terrified and was enough to make her cry. I opened the door, yelled at these 2 guys and threatened to get physical to try and get rid of them to protect my wife. As they were leaving they spit on our door. We immediately called the front desk told them what happened and asked for assistance. We never had anyone contact us or get in touch with us to see if we were ok. The next morning I told the RBF lady about what happened, she had no record of anything happening but told me her manager would call us later in the day. I was never contacted by anyone. Our room was literally attacked, our safety threatened and not one staff member seemed to care at all. The other issues worth mentioning is the shower is meant for 5'5" people and there is absolutely no water pressure. The 1 elevator they have takes about 5 minutes to get to you and when you're in it, you feel like it could go down at any given moment. This forces you to walk the stairs, so if you're on floor 7, good luck. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I work my balls off 49 weeks of the year and when I get a week off I hope to make it count. This ruined our trip without question. This establishment made us sad, angry, scared and worst of all disappointed. GUYS, Spend the extra $100 and stay at the Marriott or Westin across the street. This hotel will go bankrupt within a year based on this and most of the other recent reviews it's been getting. Do not book here. read more

Booked the room through their website. They had a 3rd night free special. If you friend them on Facebook, they also have some great deals often. I also just saw they now have a Yelp special. Received several e-mails prior to arrival, days before, confirming that they had my reservation and welcoming me before I even left Miami. Got a phone call 16 hours before at home from the hotel confirming my reservation yet again, noting that I had requested early check in and that my room would be ready upon arrival. Finally arrive to the hotel only to be told OOOOPS, although you are here at 10:30am, your room won't be ready until at least 1:00pm. Really? Ok, not going to let this ruin my trip. Stored our luggage and started our trip regardless of it. Got a call at about 1:30pm that our room was now ready whenever we were ready to head back to the hotel. The hotel is on the small side but very very pretty. Modern chic decor all around. Lots of blacks, whites, greys and pops of color abound. The room decor and layout alone deserves 4 stars. However, a stay is not all about decor and layout is it? Our room was a corner room which gave the room a really unique wide space. The bathrooms were a decent size but comfortable. I was provided with a black towel for "makeup". Cute. Producs provided were nice as well. The bathroom had natural light coming from a frosted window. The room negatives were these; 1. It was LOUD at night. Not sure if the bar was right below us and maybe it was rowdy people leaving but all sorts of shouting on the street at 2am or 3am. That's great, as long as you are on the screaming side and not trying to sleep. :) 2. Closet space. The closet was the size of one of those stand up tanning booths, or smaller. Just my long coats alone made the closet full. 3. Drawer space. The drawers were really shallow and not enough for all I had. 4. The air conditioner had this annoying setting where it would turn on LOUDLY for, no kidding, 40 seconds. It would stay off for about 5 minutes and then turn on again for 40 seconds. Luckily I was really tired most nights to just be able to sleep through it but combine that, with the street screaming and I was not happy! They offer afternoon wine receptions which I did not get to attend. They also have a restaurant and bar downstairs. The bar was always full and rowdy with loud music blaring. I wish we would have made it. Maybe then I would not have cared about the patrons making such a noisy exit and disrupting my beauty sleep! read more

The Copley Square Hotel is a unique, richly restored boutique hotel. I have never stayed at what I consider this place to be. . . a "fancy" hotel. I'm staying here? In a place where flat screen televisions are mounted into the front desks simply to scrolls through pictures of wine glasses and hotel logos. A place where they have free wine tastings in their luxuriant lobby area full of eclectic chairs, pillows, and tables. I wholeheartedly had the wide-eyed country girl in the big city for the first time kind look on my face walking in. Scored one of the $18 birthday celebration rooms here. Boy did I get my money's worth! Let me begin by saying that although the room appeared to be small it was actually quite comfortable and cozy. Feather pillows, down comforter, and staged lighting added to the wonderful experience I had here. The BEST thing about the room were the curtains. Was out very late partying it up on a boat with some fellow yelpers (yea!!!). . . a late morning of sleep was in store and when I woke up. . . I couldn't believe it was Noon! Why you ask? Because not a pinhole of light was let through. It was ink black in the room, making for ideal sleeping conditions at any time of day. PERFECT, LOVED IT! My only complaint was how small the bathroom was. The shower stall was far too small and I found it inconveniently uncomfortable to try standing under the water without touching one of the tiled sides. I love having a bathtub and the stall just didn't cut it. Was very impressed with the tray delivered to our room with a breakfast menu, forecast for the following day, dry cleaning etc. Made using any of the services provided quick and easy. Place had everything I needed! Refrigerator upon request, endless box of tissues, and iHome/alarm clock, etc. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. First day there, a fellow fetched the "old-school" small elevator for us and wished us a good day. Staff explained that umbrellas could be given out on loan for rainy days, free of charge! I highly enjoyed looking at the black and white photos of the hotel back in the day. Overall a very enjoyable and pleasant stay. Ran into no issues and would gladly stay here again if I could get a good rate! read more

hotel was okay but we arrived late at the hotel entrance, 2am, not knowing that they had a "locked door policy" at 1am. we were unable to enter the doors to the hotel because of that locked door policy. there was no fob reader to open doors so that guests with key cards could enter. restaurant staff would walk by door apologizing that they could not help us because they didn't have the key to open the door. we waited 15 minutes to get into the lobby of a hotel that we were PAYING guests at. Given, I know they were probably understaffed. But given the cold conditions this was very unacceptable read more

It was our first visit to Copley Square Hotel. The hotel staff at the front desk was marvelous, upon check in I was greeted by a friendly staff member and in my room within 15 minutes of arriving. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We had a wonderful time in this modern, accommodating and convenient hotel. They have two elevators, and they seemed to be a bit slow. We were on the second floor, so we opted for the stairs most of the time. You are a five-minute walk from the very convenient Star Market which is open 24 hours a day and the Prudential Center where you will find plenty of shops and restaurants. If you walk five minutes in the opposite direction, you will catch the "T"(Massachusetts Bay Transportation/Green Line) at Boylston and Dartmouth Streets. This hotel is an excellent value for the price. We will be back! read more
