I've been coming to this UPS Store mostly because it's the closest one to my house, and overall it does the job. It's not my all-time favorite location, but it has its bright spots. When Gaby was here regularly, she was honestly the reason I kept choosing this store. She was always so warm and attentive and somehow managed long lines like it was nothing. She even remembered to ask how my day was, which sounds small, but it made the whole errand feel less like a chore. I haven't seen her recently, but she really set the standard for this place. Today I was helped by Lupe, and she was just as friendly and knowledgeable, so that definitely helped bring the experience back up. I mostly come here for Amazon returns, so I can't speak for every service they offer, but the notary I did with Gaby once was super fast and painless. My only hesitation with giving this place a full five stars is that I've had a few not-so-great encounters with some of the male employees. I won't call anyone out, but there's one guy who always looks like every transaction drains the life out of him. The energy shift is noticeable, and it does affect the vibe when the line is already long. Parking here is honestly the biggest headache. The gym in the same plaza makes the lot feel like a wild scavenger hunt. My best tip for anyone coming is to skip the chaos and park through the back tunnel. It's a bit more of a walk, but it feels like its own little escape route and makes the whole visit smoother. If I'm being real, I still prefer the UPS location near the West Covina mall because the owners there are unbelievably quick and so friendly, but this one is perfectly fine when I need something close to home. This staff is amazing. The staff, Roger, Kathleen, and Mikayla are so helpful and always get my packages sent off correctly. I come often to do Amazon returns and they're are always happy to see me, they provide excellent service and are always in a great mood. The store is always clean and has a nice selection of services, and value products. I especially like the selection of postage stamps the owner has available to purchase, he gets the best ones! The owner charges you a $1 if you do not put a small piece of tape on a returned Amazon box or any boxes. Not even a one time exception even when you are a returning customer !! I have taken my open boxes to other ups location and they did not charge me. I asked the notary who works there to call the owner or manage to see if I could get a one time no charge service but he refuses that as well. BAD service. Prior to my experience today, I would have given 5+ stars for this location! But unfortunately, that all changed. The location closed for Mother's Day without alerting customers, I was due to cancel my membership as I moved. Since they were closed Saturday evening and Sunday, I went to close my box the next day and was shocked to find I had to pay $27 simply to pick up my mail. I had been shipping with this company for over a year and had a post office box here. I was happy with my service until I found out about this policy. I was unable to pick up my Mother's Day mail that I missed because they were closed. What's interesting is Even though I had not received any mail over the weekend, yet I had to pay to pick up mail and renew my box for another month before I could cancel. This policy made me feel uncomfortable and I felt taken advantage. Having to pay $27 to pick up Mother's Day mail that I missed due to location being closed is really out of touch for a customer who had been frequented that location for over a year. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this location to others due to unknown policies and continuous closed dates that are not Told to customers. read more

I would give this store no stars if I could. Someone needs to explain to Roger that customers are the life blood of any business. He reaked of cigarette smoke and was extremely cantankerous and unfriendly while providing me copies and making passport photos. I explained to him that I wanted the photos for non-US purposes but continued to argue with me about what the government would accept when it came to photos. After I complied with all of his directions, he hastily took two terrible photos and made it a point to say "you can't have a refund." I didn't even bother getting the notary service I needed bc I had no more time to spend explaining to him what I legally was entitled to. Do NOT patronize this store for passport or notary services. This is about the owner/ worker Danny / Danile Co l've been a regular customer at this UPS Store and typically pay a flat service fee plus a per-page print cost of ¢.25. During my most recent visit, I was not informed of any pricing changes while I was being assisted. Only at the register was I told I would now be charged an additional $2.50 on top of the already existing $2.50 service free. There is no posted policy explaining this charge, and when I asked for clarification on how many pages were included before additional fees applied, the answer did not seem clearly defined. The fee was waved for this visit, but afterward the interaction became uncomfortable. The employee assisting me, Danny, became noticeably hostile, laughed when I asked for a standard mailing pouch. I asked him are you really laughing at me right now and his response was " Well you're gonna leave us a bad review aren't you?" It ended with him telling me that for the future he is going to charge me $2.50 for every 3 pages I print at the store.... That is completely absurd, and it feels isolated because of our unpleasant interaction. I don't mind paying fair, clearly posted prices, but being surprised with new fees at checkout and experiencing unprofessional behavior made this a disappointing visit. read more

I just had one of the word customer service experiences with Juan today. I called at 6:35pm to ask if I had a package for pickup because I got an email notification saying I did. I wanted to make sure before I drove over. Juan answered the phone, I provided the last four of the tracking and he said no I had nothing. I asked him to check the back he said I see nothing. Very dismissive. But ok I hung up. I then checked the tracking number on the site from the company of the item, it said that the package is still at the UPS location. So I went into the store to double check if it in fact was still there or not. If not it's fine I just want to know. When I went in Juan was standing there I told him I just called and told him my tracking says it's here. He said, no you already picked it up. So I asked to see the signature or details of when I "picked it up", he checked and luckily another employee was standing behind him. The other employee saw on the screen it said that it was returned earlier this morning and that it actually might still be here. Juan went to the back and came back with my package. He was very dismissive, cold and rude. Because of this experience I want to make sure I never have to receive a package here. If it weren't for the other employee Roger (he was great) I really don't think I would have left with my mail tonight. Btw his response to his behavior was.."sorry I was firm" I don't see how that is appropriate. I came into the store at around 6:45pm tonight. 10/24 read more

This UPS is located in the small corner of the huge West Covina plaza. There is a small side corner plaza within this big plaza. Tight parking. Was told they would be able to print my label by scanning my phone and when I came in they said they would not print it and would charge me $1 for the label. read more

I came here yesterday to get a paper notarized for a birth certificate. They have a decent parking lot that is shared with several other businesses, but I found a spot pretty easily. I didn't know UPS did notaries, but it was definitely quick and easy! I signed a waiver, and then they wrote down my info from my driver's license before we proceeded with the paper that needed to be notarized. I was in and out within 10 minutes, and it was definitely nice that I didn't have to wait even though I walked in without an appointment. read more

I did and also asked them for an assurance that my papers were in safe hands because the store collect but will send to the USPostal service. I went to UPS to mail a small light box to a relative. All it had in the box was letters and pictures. They charged me $15.74, which I thought was extremely high priced. Today, I took my girlfriend to UPS to mail a small book and a very small package. They quoted her the same price. It would have been over $30.00. She refused to pay this amount,so I took her to Counry Postal around the corner. They are super nice, and it cost her $10.73. That's a big difference. I recently dropped in to ship 3 packages. I waited my turn in line and was summonsed to the counter. I was having difficulty bringing up the labels due to poor cellular reception, but this did not last any longer than over 1 minute before the female Latina clerk rudely asked aloud, "can I just take the next customer?" I was never offered any assistance, simply pushed (not literally) off to the side and left hanging out to dry. Caught off guard by this question and put on the spot, I reluctantly agreed. I successfully retrieved my label and was now forced to wait AGAIN for the other customer who felt very uncomfortable cutting in front of me. Eventually, the clerk revisited me and I was told 2 of the labels had to be printed / paid for. This was surprising, but the clerk retrieved the 2 labels from a printer and I paid. Choosing to be polite and LITERALLY bite my tongue while walking towards the door, I chose to remain silent because I was trying my best to remain a law abiding citizen. As I reached for the door, the clerk shouted "you're welcome." Once again trying to not go off on the clerk, I replied "there's no need to be sarcastic." Her response was "oh yeah, well there's no need to be rude." None of this was necessary and the clerk left a lasting negative West Covina UPS Store impression on several customers, including myself. Deep down, we customers knew the clerk needed an ass whooping. The owner of this location should definitely provide basic customer service skills to her and pray it fixes her. One day, that one angry customer she unnecessarily treats like trash, could lose their composure and it won't be pretty. By the way, none of her co-workers intervened to stop the clerk at any point. read more

Just information that really just comes off as him making excuses for the behavior of his employees. 2. I don't care what your made up lists says. The email And notification I am sent to both my personal email and the UPS app make no mention of having to provide anything more than an ID which must have a matching name to the package. Oh and guess what. I've changed my deliveries to arrive at the location on Grand next to the Stater Bros. Picked up my first package. You wouldn't believe it. The people who work at the UPS store are unfailingly kind and pretty well-informed. Everything I've shipped there has gotten to its destination. It's a convenient stop. But: WOW it's expensive. They charge by shape and weight, which seems like it'd be fairer than flat fee. They can build you a box to fit pretty much anything. But boxes are built out of cardboard, right? I'm not sure why, but UPS Stores (not just this one, to be fair) are inexplicably expensive. It can really add up. Their supplies are pricey, their shipping is pricey, their packing fee is expensive. Everything's expensive. Yipes. I can't afford to ship UPS very often. read more
