There isn't self-faxing & printing, yet you can email your documents for them to print out for you. For shipping, bring your own packing tape or you'll be charged a user fee...better than having to buy tape as you do at USPS. You can drop off packages for UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS & Amazon - for the latter, they do not have the Return Code Scanner. There's a mini workstation, pay as you use. My tasks of printing, faxing, shipping & a couple of treats came under $12. The neighborhood's friendly one-stop shop for all your mailing & then some needs.

I didn't want to set up a po box as the walk was too far to my apt from the post office (imagine lugging big boxes in 90 degree heat and humidity). Turns out this place is two blocks away, and I have far better communication with Andrew than dealing with the post office. Case in point-he usually calls to let me know when I have a package and is willing to stay a little after store closing to let me swing by. This place is closed on weekends, but Andrew was even willing to come by early on a Saturday morning to open up shop just so I could pick up my new macbook.. It seems to be the same small team of three men and one woman, and every single one of them has consistently been friendly, patient, communicative, and genuinely helpful. Over the years, they've gotten used to seeing me, and there's now that easy, welcoming rapport that makes it feel like a true neighborhood store. When I bring my dog in, they always make sure he gets a treat, which is such a small thing but says a lot about the atmosphere they've created. I regularly have to use UPS, FedEx, and USPS depending on what I'm shipping, and I can confidently say I am always happiest when the package gets to go through UPS. That's entirely because of the people working at this location. After three years of consistently great customer service, they deserve some recognition. I asked one of the two clerks as to why their price to print out a single no -color page costs 8 times higher than anywhere else, and he suggested that I should go ahead and go there. I thought that was a very cocky and rood response. Both of the clerks acted extremely arrogant and I was the sole customer in the store. Then on top of that, it took them several minutes to get the printer to even work. Yet I still got robbed. The only reason why I am gifting this place 2 stars is because they were in fact open when nobody else was, and one of the employees gave me directions to U Street.

One tip, you might wanna make sure you know how many packages you are expecting because the attendant might not be sure. However, I will say that I really appreciated that the attendant double checked several places to ensure that I was picking up everything. The only negative of my experience, which is not the fault of the UPS Store, there is no free street parking. If you are driving to pick up an package or to use any of the UPS Store's services, and are cheap like me, be sure to bring someone with you. That way you 1. can park closer to the store and 2. will not have to pay for parking. That said, parking isn't super expensive in these parts. Where is the customer service here? Why not advise of the discrepancy, as a one time courtesy, tape the freakin' box. My stars!!! It would have saved energy, time & perhaps a repeat customer. I was immediately greeted and asked what I might need help with. I explained needing a shipping tube to send out an item. Unfortunately, they did not have a shipping tube, but the did have a long skinny box that would do just fine. I was so happy with this solution that I had no hesitation with making the purchase.
