I have shipped packages to multiple places in the country in the past three years. Having moved here from the Chicago suburbs, I was so happy to experience a well run store, with a very competent staff who know what they are doing and get your items on their way as quickly as possible. I can honestly say this is one of the best experiences I have had in the Wake Forest area in terms of smart, efficient staff. They are helpful and nice but most important, get the job done quickly as we all want to get out of there. Everyone who works there is working very hard and deserves a lot of appreciation. I have NEVER left a bad review anywhere before, but I hope this review brings attention to the management/ownership and they start doing something about the work culture there... Zero customer service skills. One employee not only had a flippant attitude but he wouldn't stop playing with his long hair. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. Although frustrating, it was also comical and ridiculous. I've shipped from this store on/off through the years and always sensed the dismissiveness. I come here a lot to return my Amazon orders. The staff is extremely friendly and patient. I make sure to have my return code ready to be scanned as not to hold up the line. There is a tub available to place your Amazon returns should you not want to wait in line. The store is tidy and clean. There's notary and copying services available as well. It is located next to Harris Teeter & a restaurant. There's plenty of parking available. I highly recommend this location. read more

Incompetent...that's the word of the day for this UPS store. Incompetent. I went for notary services, the form said I needed a witness, I told her I would come back with my husband, she said no, it couldn't be a relative. I told her I just moved here and didn't have a non-relative witness. She said, Well it's the LAW and you can't get this notarized until so. There was another employee standing next to her... might I add. I called another UPS store and they said WHY YES, we can notarize that for you AND we can provide a witness for $10 extra! Wow!!!!! Two stars is too many. Called the store and was assured that a notary would there until 1:30 PM. When I arrived at 12:50 PM I was informed by a very unhelpful person that "my notary is almost done". After some further discussion and checking to see if the notary, who was present but on break, would agree to notarize another document; I was told it would be twenty minutes. I left and went to another UPS store. There are other much better Ups stores to use. Pass this one by. read more

My complaint is too many times my packages are rejected from this location or just not to be found. I will never again use this location as an access point when they only accept 10 packages at a time and any thing after that they send to whoever and they don't even know where's it going back to so I pick up myself. TERRIBLE system!!!! FedEX will always get my business for now on. read more

Customer service is poor. The manager in particular is unavailable most of the time and grumpy. He clearly hates his job. I have been to Wakefield and Falls of the Neuse and they are far more accommodating and go out of their way to be helpful. read more

The atmosphere is so unpleasant I have left without shipping. For an excellent experience, head 2 miles west to the UPS location in Wakefield. Thanks so much for the great service. I was expecting overworked and under happy employees, but the employees showed a great deal of calm under a tremendous amount of pressure. I sure have noticed a lot of rude customers in stores these days -- it's hard to work retail during a pandemic. But this store has risen above it and does a great job. read more

UPS Store is not UPS So, I got a somewhat weird and unprofessional interaction with the staff as if me wanting to send a 2-day letter was an unusual request and instead of being helpful I became the butt of the employees jokes. I asked "can I track this?" and was told "no, there is no tracking". As it turns out, that was another joke that I was supposed to find funny. It is what it is and even though the experience was surreal, I just wanted to get my letter to its destination on-time. I should have been in good shape as one would think that sending a 2-day letter on a Tuesday it should arrive Thursday or certainly by end-of-day Friday. Nope. I specifically asked "will this go out today" and was told, "yeah, of course it will. I've got you covered." Technically, it did go out that day as in "Elvis has left the building", but it didn't go to UPS. I don't know where the hell it went but I do know it wasn't inducted into the UPS system until it appeared in Greenville NC almost 26 hours later. As it stands now, i see it was loaded onto the truck some 24 hours after it was scheduled to have been delivered and it says it should be delivered by 7:00 PM today. That's all well and good but it is a legal document going to a government office on a Friday go good luck with that 7:00 PM and thanks for nothing. This will may end up costing me more than if I had just jumped in my care and hand delivered it. So, please be aware. UPS STORE IS NOT UPS, they just a middleman that licenses the logo. Bottom line: you have no assurance of anything when you hand them your parcel. They don't even give you a legit UPS tracking number so there's your sign. read more

My mother purchased a gift for my husband from a company based in Denmark. The only option given was to have it shipped to a UPS pickup location. When the package arrived it had my mothers name and her address (6hrs from here) on it. They would not under any circumstances allow me to pick it up. She called the company and they didn't know what to do. She called UPS customer service and they called the UPS store to ask then to hold it an additional 6 days. Their response. NO. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. SPITEFUL people. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Went to drop off a return. It had two items in it. The next day, one of the items came back to me from UPS, the other was sent to the correct place. They said it was not their problem, they did not represent UPS. Call UPS. I did. UPS said they would send prepaid label to the store and for me to take it there. I did. They said they could not find anything. Just not helpful. They tell you to solve your own problems. I will. The solution is FedEx. read more

I've utilized the UPS store on several occasions, mainly for business purposes, but also when I don't want to deal with the long and slow moving lines at the post office. What is super convenient is that I can just drop off my package, and they will pack it, ship it, and I don't have to lift a finger. Sure, you pay for this convenience, but my time and energy is more valuable than sitting at home, trying to find a box, pack it and worry about whether or not it will arrive safely, and then go somewhere to ship it. Cost to print an emailed shipping label from my company who has an account with UPS=$4.40 Why would I choose to go here?? The last time I was there I got charged for them to tape my box !!! Went to this location to mail a check, hoping to get it to its destination on time. The UPS associate while I was in line stated my mail would cost $12-$13 then when I got to the counter the man had a different range $10-$25. I asked if he could put in the address and give me exact pricing and he said "that's what I'm doing right now." My reply was that if he was going to be rude to give me my mail back and I'd go somewhere else. The man took my letter, took a step back, and flicked the mail at me and it landed on the counter in front of me. Was I asking too much to get some exact information? Or was it just more appropriate to fling a persons mail at them while they're at your store with their 2 small children? Bravo to your awful customer service. Takes a big man to fling someone's belongings back at them. Takes an even bigger manager right next to the situation to not even look up and assist. Awful! Won't return here. UPS store on Roger road has the worst customer customer! I was trying to return a package today and explained we had no means of printing a label. You can use our computer for 3$ for up to 10 minutes and offered no other help. What ??? And??? What kind of business is this! Don't go!!! No help!!! 3/23/2018 Original Post I have been dropping items off at UPS stores for years and sometimes ask if they would seal packages with tape. This was my first time at this location and I could not believe they wanted to charge me $1 apiece to tape up my pre-labeled boxes. I won't be returning to this location if they want to nickel and dime customers for something as simple as tape... Upon going to another location, I asked if it was a UPS policy to charge for tape. He replied no, and that it was absurd for any location to charge for something so silly. I will be sure to go out of my way to give business to other locations that actually value customer service. 3/26/2018 Comment from UPS Store Business Owner: Mr. Thompson, We are very sorry to hear that you do not agree with our package sealing policy. It has been our policy for almost 2 years that all prepaid packages that do not come in sealed are subject to the $1 package sealing fee. We could easily offer one strip of tape for free as some stores do but feel that this bare minimum is not sufficient for the safe delivery of your package which is of utmost importance to us. If you would like to discuss why this policy in place, please speak with our manager Brooks at any time. Again, we apologize but hope you can understand this is a business decision. Have a great day! 3/28/2018 Response to Business Owner reply: The fact that you as a proprietor don't see the issue customers have with being charged for tape at a shipping store IS the problem. Some, like myself, easily see this as fleecing the consumer. Regulating an unrealistic courtesy amount and charging for tape to ship packages - prepaid or otherwise - is not a common practice for your major competitors USPS and FedEx, and upon contacting 7 other triangle area UPS stores, is not even a common practice for UPS either. In fact, several of the stores I contacted laughed at the suggestion they would charge customers for sealing packages. If the business at this location is so bad off that you must fleece customers to stay afloat, that might call into question your business practices. Seeing as that is highly unlikely, you might want to rethink the rationale that providing tape to customers to seal packages is a hardship on your business because most minimally intelligent people see straight through that. Clearly, logic, reason, and customer service are not things you are interested in so I don't see any point in contacting management to hear a sob story about how providing customers with complimentary tape to seal packages will force you to shut your doors.
