This store needs a reteaching on their firearm products policies. I made sure prior to entering the store that my package would comply with all policies listed on UPS.com, as well as state and federal law. I was very confidently told by an employee/manager that they "could not accept" my upper due to "not having proper licensing." I attempted to explain that my product was not legally a firearm and was firearm parts, and the employee condescendingly corrected me saying they don't have a "firearm parts license." There is no such thing as a "firearm parts license" either federally or from the state. The employee instructed me to find a store that "had proper licensing." When I asked where I could find such a store, she said she was "unable to search for that information" and that I should try Google. Ended up going to store #1692 on 4400 N Scottsdale Rd, where the employee was happy to help me and confirmed that they don't carry any additional licensing regarding firearms (probably because the licensing in question doesn't exist). Huge rip-off! I came here for printing and scanning. I just needed to print one 4-page black and white document and sign it, then have them scan it back to me. They charge $3 print setup and $3 scan setup plus a per page fee totalling $8.43 to print and scan a single black and white 4-pg doc. First, I have never paid more than $2 first page print fee and have never been charged a "scan setup" fee. Huge rip-off! read more

This review is specifically for notary services. At first they said the could not complete my request because they could not certify my birth certificate. I wish I had just left at this point. I explained I was using it for identification only and it was an official copy for identification as requested in the paperwork. They read me a paragraph on birth certificates out loud from their notary book and then read my paper again and with out saying I was right they supposed I could use it for identification but they were not certifying my birth certificate! That's not what I wanted in the first place. They proceeded to sign the paper and then gave it back to me. They did not fill out the second page and I asked him to complete it. After looking it over he did and then charged me $20, $10 per signature! Please do yourself a favor and go to the UPS notary in Oldtown on Scottsdale rd. Had a great notary service there, no questions asked and $10 only for multiple signatures for the one document. read more

This is my regular UPS store, and I have the same great service each time. No matter what kind of service I need, the staff is very quick, efficient, and helpful. The only thing I would say is that the store font is very small and can sometimes get a little crowded. However, the staff will get through the line like nothing. So if it does look busy, this location will take care of it. If you are dropping off a pre-labeled package, scanning an amazon code with an unpackaged item, or walking with some questions and a box with an address, this location will take care of you with no problems at all. read more

It's days before Christmas and time is running out! I came to this location for the first time and was impressed. Nothing makes me more happy and satisfied when an employee is efficient especially during last minute shipping decisions. Christina greeted me with a smile and great attitude. She got my package ready to go, tore off the old tape and replaced it with brand new tape to secure my package. And then in the middle of getting my info, showed me how to use one of the new flashlights on sale since I was fidgeting with how to use it, and directed incoming customers with their packages with where to go. If you need to print out your label at this UPS they charge $3.00 per label and some additional fees. IDK, didn't stick around long enough to find out what else they wanted to charge me for... BUT do go to the Staples west of this store, on Scottsdale, which charges only 19 cents to print out a label and Staples also gives you a 15% discount on your next purchase... I'm stuck on Staples for all my future transactions with Amazon, a forever customer. read more

Today I was rushing to get to UPS before they closed so I could get a package in the mail. I happened to park as they were closing for the night. I would have been disappointed but understanding. But instead, an amazing employee named Brian held the door for me and jokingly asked me to hurry in, which I did. I could tell from the energy in the room that it was closing time and I apologized and let him know he could have locked the door and I would have understood. Apparently he had attempted to do just that when the woman in the lobby came to the door and he let her in and promptly began helping her. When he saw me drive up and park, he held the door and called me in so he could finally lock it. The entire time, Brian was laughing and joking with us and acting very light hearted about the fact that we were both keeping him at work late on a Friday night. He effectively handled our package requests and kindly sent us on our way. His name badge said that he was a Trainer and I can believe it. He is absolutely someone you want representing your business. Huge thanks to Brian the Trainer and I'd like to recommend he receive a pay raise. I have mailed numerous overnight envelops and my clients are not receiving them. I have spent 25.00 per envelop and they are not being delivered yet I am still being charged. They lost a 50k check a few months ago and customer service was horrible. Check was never found. I send 2 envelops per transaction. 1 to my client and another one postage paid inside so they can send to our home office. When I tracked the last one it said the one to my client was not delivered but the one to my home office was. How can the 2nd be delivered if my client never received it to send the 2nd one? That is fraud. There is always 5 people on duty and only 1 person actually working here. It is worse than the post office. Do yourself a favor and use FedEx. This place is the worst! read more

I use this location all the time as the local hub to our business. I always pre-print the UPS labels and just drop off with no issue. Today when I went to drop off my package the woman picked it up back up, aggressively shoved it back to me and told me "we can't guarantee it will be delivered"??!? I didn't even care when it was delivered. I took it to the UPS location off of Scottsdale and spoke with the employee there who said nothing had changed and they do accept drop offs with pre-paid labels. I didn't even need the receipt. I won't be going back to the Hayden location. read more

Shalyn is a great example of how to do customer service right. I shipped a very fragile item across the country and it arrived with some damage. Shalyn was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of filing a claim to UPS to get my item repaired. She guided me through the necessary steps and did her best to ensure I got what I needed. She even left me voicemails to update me on the status during important parts of my claim. I am so, so appreciative of her and all she did for me. It's not always easy to provide really great customer service (especially now, during COVID, when many freight/delivery companies are so busy and under so much pressure) so I wanted to give her some recognition for that.
