The service here is slow and all of the counter workers seem to have a bad attitude. More importantly the owner is a fraudster and liar. I had an international package that I shipped and insured that got lost that was never paid. I personally spoke with the owner on 11 separate occasions. He would give me lip service and no results. We had an 800 dollar package go missing and we didn't even get the 100 insurance let alone the full value we had insured it for. Be very careful when you ship though this location. read more

Standard UPS drop off location, but it seems more franchised / small business-y owned than some of the other more professional looking UPS stores. Each store seems to have its own printing policy. Some will print labels for you for free, and others have charged me various prices to print labels. Printing prices for this one: $1 to use their computer (which you HAVE to use if you need to print anything) and then $0.20 per page for each black/white copy. Thus min price to print 1 page label is $1.20. Pro tip: go to FedEx down the street to print. It's only $0.13 per black/white page through their self help printer system. I literally just came from there to mail off something else and wish I just printed everything at once. read more

Possibly the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my entire life. I was denied service TWICE!! The old guy is always grumpy and acts as if he hates his job and was forced to sit there. He is just irritating as hell. He is pretty racist as well. I don't know if that's because of my ethnicity or because I am female. Recently I was denied service to my face, saying that he will offer service only till 5pm and this conversation happened at 4.30pm. When asked there is half hour more he said I will not offer that service to you anymore! This is just ridiculous. I want to give 0 stars but there is nothing less than 1 star. I went to 41st Avenue in San Mateo that guy that that's the notary is awful I was there while he was helping this old lady and every time he turns to the customer he was making faces like saying how dumb she was furthermore when it became my turn I went to the cashier where he was working but he had moved to take some boxes from another customer I stood at the cash register and from the opposite direction he grab his hair and yelled out ughrrrrrr another one!!!! .. He meant another dummy just like the little old lady , I took off I just couldn't believe the someone so despicable and nasty to customers could be in a customer service position, I left almost in tears because I had waited for so long i due to the fact that the helper is a very old person he moves very slow but at least he wasn't nasty as the jerk read more

Social distancing and touchless transaction outside. And customer support with no wait, behind plexiglas inside. Read the other reviews about the 2 grumpy men who work here and their sloooow customer service. These guys are clearly miserable and shouldn't own a business. I am not sure why they do, and they refuse to hire an employee that could really serve them well... I came in to drop off a pre-labeled UPS package (return to amazon) and after waiting 5 minutes, with not even a hello or we will be right with you, I asked if I could leave the package, it was labeled and all (no receipt needed). I was blatantly ignored and I said, Oh, we are just ignoring customers now? The man working here STOMPED over like a 4 year old and took my package off the counter and slammed it on the ground. Are you kidding me? These guys throw your packages around in front of you, imagine what they do when you're not around! Its a father and son, Skip and Mark Dahl, and they've got to be the most rude people. They ignore their customers, work slow as molasses and when they do pay attention to you, its to slam your packages on the ground. I've reported them to BBB and to UPS corporate. Has to be one of the slowest customer service I've ever seen at UPS. There was only one older man working there, helping a woman that was trying to work out Saturday shipping for her daughter. Eavesdropping, because I had nothing else to do while I waited, with my packages ready to go, she had a complicated situation. She needed to it to arrive at a certain time, because her daughter was flying somewhere, and then would be on vacation for 6 weeks, and she didn't want it just sitting there, etc, etc. Clearly this needed his attention, I don't doubt that. But the 3 other customers that were waiting had a) a package to pick up, from a delivery attempt and b) packages to drop off, already labeled and ready to go - like myself. Walking in, there was zero acknowledgement from the man; "be right with you", "what do you need", nothing. People walking in with packages usually only need to drop them off, and other UPS locations I've been to have asked, and then directed those people to the drop off pile. I personally stood and waited for about 15 minutes, until another woman walked up with her package and was blunt about it. "Can I just leave this here in the drop off pile?" He very begrudgingly was like sure, so I went "Me too!" and got out of dodge. I cant believe he wouldn't even make eye contact with anyone else, or try to observe the state of the store. I feel bad for that young couple just trying to pick up a package. they may have been there until closing. Seeing as I have a lot of returns and such with my job and personal shipping needs, I will -not- be coming back here to drop them off - it'll take all night! read more

I went in to ship a document and to get a couple documents notarized about 15 minutes before they closed. A gentleman named Ali helped me. He was very courteous, patient, and did not make me feel like an inconvenience though helping me took longer than 15 minutes (and I'm sure he wanted to get home!) This is after waiting in line w several customers ahead & more behind me w my elderly parents who needed the notary svcs. First the gentleman looks over the docs & asks me what needs to be notarized; was puzzled bc I just handed everything to him. So then he asks if he could talk to my folks who are limited Eng-spkers. I began to translate at which point he says aloud he couldnt help. Worse he wouldn't even allow me to explain any further. I had already presented their State issued photo IDs which had adequately satisfied him earlier. But he was unwilling to listen that they are id'd as the payees on the docs, not me or anybody else. As I'm driving away, I just felt this man lacked any kind of sensitivity/emotional intelligence as well as critical thinking to be able to process the legitimacy. I understand there are untrustworthy ppl out in the world. But this man was altogether something else. read more

The people at this UPS store are nice, I have used their services multiple times in the past but won't do so in the future. Used their packaging services to send Covid PPE to my son who works at Kaiser Hospital Roseville. Wanted it to get to him before the next day night shift. Paid $90 for a small box to be delivered by 2:30 pm the next day. He did not get it for five days. Was told that due to Covid there is no promise for special delivery. They never said that. I needed rotary services. On June 23, I interacted with Ander who was extremely helpful. As I separated my sets of documents for him, another customer walked in. I told him to help that person since I knew mine would take a while. He said "if you're ok, then I will". After he was done, we completed my sets of documents, he made copies of the sets for me, got me a mailing envelope to fit everything, set it aside to be sent and relieved me of a lot of pressure. Ander demonstrated such excellence in his customer service skills that I wanted to point it out. I greatly appreciate someone like him especially in a world that is becoming quite harsh. read more

ALL UPS STORES ARE NOT EQUAL. Customer service matters. This one is bad - there are way better UPS Stores nearby, such as on Old County and Foster City. The customer service is terrible. The old man who works here is SUPER grumpy, and acts as if he hates his job (lot's of deep breaths and sighing.) The service is extremely slow as well. Today my 4 year old child accidentally bumped a clear plastic brochure holder off the kiosk and it broke. This man, with three people waiting in line, walked angrily out from the behind the counter to inspect the broken plastic brochure holder. I said "Sorry about that," thinking it wasn't a big deal. The man replied furiously "Yeah I'm sorry too. These things are expensive!" Then he stomped his feet back around the counter and proceeded to basically throw an adult tantrum. If you've never seen someone angrily put stickers on a package, angrily put packages on counter tops, and angrily staple receipts, it's..... awkward. Never again with this place. Go the few extra blocks to the nice folks at the UPS store on Old Country road. Mark (the son) and Skip (the owner) really have no idea what customer service means. We waited 30 minutes for the customer in front of us, and then he was not nice to me or my wife. We need some documents notarized, I had to run back (literally 3 minutes) to get my wife's passport, so rather than starting the paperwork with us, he goes to the next customer, which takes another 25 minutes then back to us, while we twiddle our thumbs. Then takes 25 minutes to do our forms. I mean really we were waiting patiently for 30 minutes, you think he could have started on us. This is the not the first time we were in there, but overall if you need to interact with them, I would skip this store and go to the UPS store on Old County. If you need boxes, I think the Box store a few blocks closer to Hillsdale Mall on the other side of El Camino is the way to go. She is nice and has better selection with much better prices. read more

I agree with the other poster, go to the UPS store on Old County Road in Belmont. People there are much nicer and its close enough that you don't go too far out of your way. I'm guessing the older man that works at this UPS store is the owner? He definitely doesn't have any people skills. Also, I stopped in to mail one regular piece of mail and he charged me $1.50. I understand you are going to charge a little extra, but triple the price isn't cool. I went in the store earlier today (8/25/09) to make some copies and the copier jammed. Came to this store early on a weekday to avoid the lunchtime crowd. An older guy at the counter was helping a couple with a notary - fine. There was another customer ahead of me, after 30 seconds after my arrival the customer shook his head in disgust and walked out; sheesh, I thought, a little patience buddy. Well I ten minutes later I did the exact same thing. I counted 3 times the clerk looked up and saw me but refused to acknowledge me or give me an ETA when I would be served. The guy was moving slower than molasses and starting a second - then a third - notary process with the couple without a hint of concern for the increasing queue of customers that were arriving. If he would have said "Hey, sorry for the wait, I'll be with you in x minutes" I wouldn't be writing this review right now. I won't be back. read more

Service is slow at this location but I used to deal with it since its close to my house. But today I wanted to stop by the store in the morning before work to drop off some stuff. Store hours on the website say open at 9AM, but when I got there at 9:10AM it was closed and lights were off. If the hours online say 9AM, I expect the store to be open at that time. Either adjust the hours online or make sure the business is open at the specified time. I planned my day around these hours, but ended up wasting time and need to come back another day. I was returning items to Amazon and he had was not helpful at all. I brought items in no boxes, as instructed by Amazon and he was trying to charge me for boxes, packaging. Yesterday Jan 17th the store was late in opening but I waited. When the store opened, the young lady was very apologetic and expressed her regrets in opening late. Being a small business owner myself I understand things can happen! it was not a big deal waiting for a few minutes. I had to get a few things printed and sent out overnight delivery which was done expeditiously by the employee. Overall it was a good experience with the store. The store actually cares! My package was delayed and they helped me figure it out, spoke to me after hours, and helped me find a solution. He is kind and always happy to help. Being rude is unfortunately the new normal since the entire world allowed this stressful time affect them. But being discriminative is totally unacceptable! An employee from this location told my mom he couldn't assist her because she didn't speak English and he asked us to go to a business that accepts Latinos. I find this so humiliating and disrespectful. Let's begin with the fact that the employee is not American so why are you even offending others for not being American too. This message is for the employee at UPS... I hope that this year teaches you a little more kindness and that this new year coming brings you lots of blessings so you can learn to live a life where you can respect others regardless of their ethnicity. As for the business, I will never go this place again your image is totally ruined because offending my mother for being Latino really hurt me. But on the bright side the employees at the UPS in Edgewater Foster City were amazing they didn't even asked us where we were from or if we spoke any English at all.
