March 5th - Heard multiple UPS employees talking BADLY about customers out in the open where everyone could hear. Super professional right? Also they refuse to help you make copies which is beyond annoying. I came here yesterday to make simple copies, I was told they don't make copies anymore. Hm okay. No one offered me help or assistance at any time they just referred me over to a VERY SLOW computer. The girl asked the guy next to her if they are doing color copies or not then she said I would have to use the computer and print it out myself. I said, "Okay cool." Then she added that I need to pay for "computer time" I asked how much is it and she said like $5. Okay I guess but literally WHY do I need to pay a fee when I don't need a computer to use, I ONLY need copies. It is so unnecessary that they make you pay to use the computer to make your own copies then you have to pay for the copies too on top of the computer usage fee. How absurd. I asked the girl "Can I have someone assist me on the computer? I've never used it before." And then girl insisted the computer is easy and it will "tell me what to do". WRONG. When I went to the computer the instructions were NOT clear and the computer was unreliablely SLOW. It also kept FREEZING and kept prompting me to pay more money for more time while it speeded through was supposed to be 5 minutes. It was beyond annoying. It's clearly purposely slow and flawed to make you pay more and it's a scam. Right away the computer told me to pay to use it for 5 minutes. I thought okay cool I don't even need 5 minutes it's just simple prints right? YET when I was using the computer it kept freezing and stalling the whole time and it kept prompting me to pay AGAIN to extend time. How annoying. I paid like $6 to use the computer for supposedly 10 minutes that was more like 5 minutes and the computer seemed PURPOSELY SLOW to make you add time. It's literally LIKE A SCAM. Anyway after multiple attempts and the computer asking me to pay again for a THIRD time I was so annoyed that I didn't even want to give this place business anymore and I canceled it. EVEN WORSE was the fact that.. when I was struggling on the computer to make simple prints and the computer kept freezing and lagging... All I could hear was the employees talking sh%# about customers that just left. They were trash talking about the person who just left saying "she's a man" "she's so fake" and making fun of the ladies voice and the way she talks. Mind you I wasn't the only customer in the room who could hear them talking badly and disrespectfully about another customer. &They were all just standing there doing nothing behind the counter unless you count talking RUDELY and BADLY about customers working?? &There I was stuck on a stupid computer that doesn't work correctly while the employees did nothing but trash talk about paying customers. What a terrible location! So I left without the prints I needed. Is this the type of people UPS hires? Will never come back here. read more

Some of the poorest quality service I have ever experienced. Their policy to release packages is more stringent than UPS's documented release requirements. This wouldn't be a problem, except for the attitude I received from the employees. It started with me arriving. The counter was covered with packages of all sizes. I said "Hello" and was greeted with "Hello". I did not advance because the counter was full of packages. We stared at each other for a while with me thinking she was going to clear off the counter. She never did. I asked for my package, but I did not have the proof of residency that they wanted. I explained that I have the ID and documents that UPS requires, and I had a copy of the UPS requirements. I was told "We are a franchise and we don't care what UPS wants". WOW! I asked the clerk what her name was and she ignored my request. (She wore a name tag that said "Sales Associate" but no name) I then asked to speak to her supervisor. She told me "it won't change anything". I insisted that she get her supervisor. I wanted to get my package and complain about her attitude. She pulled a phone out of her pocket and called "Kevin" and had a private conversation with him. Later she put Kevin on the speakerphone. I could not hear Kevin on the speakerphone even with my hearing aids turned up fully, and asked if Kevin could call me. He told me that he didn't "want me to have his phone number". Kevin could not help me, and did not want to hear my complaint. I told him I would be writing a letter to UPS and I asked for his last name or last initial. He said it's "just Kevin". Kevin then hung up on me. I asked the employee her name and she said she didn't "feel comfortable sharing it". I guess that's why her name tag did not have a name on it. Wow! this was textbook failure of customer service. I returned later with the documents the franchise wanted and spoke to a different associate. While she was helping me, she answered the phone without saying anything to me and walked away and was speaking to another of the three employees. I felt totally ignored. My associate returned after finishing the call and opened a binder that explained the process of releasing my package. The associate took my documents and shared them with the first associate. The first associate, said "Oh! It's that guy again" and I received my package. My customer service experience was a bad. I originally thought there was some discrimination against me. That still may be possible. The fact that the supervisor was complacent in my poor experience tells me that the employees aren't to blame. They were just mirroring their supervisor's behavior. They probably weren't trained, and/or they didn't care about providing minimal customer service. I will not be using this UPS Store again. read more

Since I was already shopping in the plaza I noticed the UPS Store and decided to kill 2 birds with one stone. Employee up front at registers was kind, welcoming, and extremely patient with my 'how to' questions. They were even kind enough to personally assist me throughout the entire process of getting whatever I needed done. 5/5 stars. She was sitting on the front counter and had to jump down to assist me. Tried to explain to her what I needed done but she didn't need care to listen. I'm pretty disappointed with my service here tonight. Went out of my way to drop off an Amazon return at this location since I've had great experiences before but today when I arrived I was told the computer wasn't accepting my Amazon barcode. The cashier tried another computer and recommended that I cancel my return and reprocess it using a different return method. I decided to go to the location on Capitol and I was able to drop off the return with the same label I had been using at this location. If it was a hardware or software problem with the computers at this location, I hope it can be resolved soon so that it doesn't cause inconveniences for others in the future. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. I came in to return an Amazon purchase, and was having a very difficult time with the cashier. According to Amazon, I can do a UPS drop off without a box or label needed. Once I had the bar code scanned, the cashier said she can't take the return because the box was damaged. I then proceeded to ask if I can just take the package out of the box, she said no. And I asked if she had a box, and she said no, because the package won't fit into any of their UPS boxes, BUT she said I can purchase one? So confused how none is their boxes would fit the package, but she can sell me a box to package it back up? She then said "you can go to another store." Trust me, I won't ever come back. Next plan was to purchase tape to tape the box, and on the side I can hear the other UPS employee tell another customer they'll use "their own better tape" to fix the customer's Amazon box drop off. Fucking waste of time ! Extremely disappointed. Owner omir or what ever his name was didn't accept a Mexican passport and requested visa and proof of citizenship for a notarized card. Claimed that that was the rule for him to sign. What kind of racist shit is that. Discrimination at its finest. Pulled out a book saying that it would say what ever he claimed was legit. Failed to show proof. Apologized after looking like a dumbass and realizing that what he claimed isn't real. "I've been a notary for 18 years..." was his excuse. Ended up not having him sign it because he doesn't speak Spanish. Wasted my time and made me realize that my business isn't valued there. And that anyone who has a Mexican passport isn't welcomed. read more

Every trip to this store is very fast, smooth, and easy. The employees are very friendly and helpful. My last trip with Dana was fantastic. This location is very unreliable. Notaries made several mistakes to some documents that I needed done and they had to charge me extra for correcting them. This year alone I had 1 pkg missing at their store without being scanned. Owner needs to take the time to train their staff better or hire more competent people. read more

Short answers and zero suggestions. Not going back. Update: while researching I found that UPS does this shady thing called "billable weight" which can make something less than 3 pounds and delicate that needs a large box cost 4 or 5 times as much depending on the box dimensions. The employees could point that out if they cared to help. I could've totally changed the dimensions of the box while I was in the store and cut the shipping price in half according to their shipping calculator. Didn't rush me at all even though there was a bit of a line, she called out for her coworker to come help them. She really took her time which was really great! I went there about a month ago to pick up a parcel from Old Navy - They have a program where they drop it at a UPS store instead of your home. On going to the UPS store I was told that there would be a $10 charge to pick up the package. I told them to return the package because of this. I then sent mail to Old Navy customer service and they apologized and said I should not have been requested to pay anything to pick the package up. I then went to the Old Navy store and did my shopping there. Basically I lost 2-3 hours over this whole thing. read more
