I want to write a review about two employees: Hunter and Gloria. They were very rude to me, and Hunter eventually kicked me out. I came to this location to process documents for my credit partner. They kicked me out even though I simply asked them to explain things to me more clearly. I asked Gloria to explain because my English is not very good. She refused once, then refused a second time. When I asked again, she told me she didn't want to explain anymore, told me to go to a different store, and started being rude. I believe this happened because I am an immigrant and she treats me like a "second-class" person. Then Hunter came over and started threatening me, telling me to leave the store. I remained respectful toward them the entire time. They threatened to call the police, even though I was just asking for their first and last names so I could speak with a manager about why they weren't doing their jobs properly. They were disrespectful, and I believe this is harassment. They tried to humiliate me because I don't know the language well. I don't understand why they acted this way or why it was so hard to explain things one more time. I would like to add that I simply came in to have a document notarized (certified). I have done this before at other UPS Centers without any issues. However, this specific employee had a problem with it. She started showing me something, and when I asked for a better explanation because English is not my first language, she flatly refused. I don't understand why she acted this way, but I noticed she seemed to be having some personal issues; she came out to help me looking like she had been crying. It felt like she took her frustration out on me. I don't understand why it was so difficult to explain the process one more time instead of being hostile. read more

The new manager is wonderful, but the staff is consistently rude. Paying a fee for a box is acceptable, having to pay an additional fee for the box to receive packages is unacceptable. That is the literal purpose of the box and the initial fee. This is especially frustrating when packages have been lost after delivery, on more than one occasion, to which the staff told me "it happens." I'm forced to renew due to incoming items, but as soon as possible, I will end my business with this location. When staff members are allowed to greet customers with an audible huff, as if we are an inconvenience, when we are paying for a service, it's time to reassess your manning. read more

Went to do a simple printing only to find out they charge $2 extra just for opening an email. No verbal warning. There is a small label in front, but who on earth would think to look for a fee to open an email among all the other posters in the store!? If they nickel and dime customer like that, God knows how they treat other services fees. Clearly they didn't train employees to alert customer of unexpected fees either, or it's on purpose. Having worked in print shop myself, I pity the employees. They're going to get yelled at some point for sure. I will make sure to avoid doing any business here. read more

My nieces and nephews are homeschooled in Indianapolis, and I had to ship 70 lbs worth of boxes of school supplies. The employees were so kind and helpful. They worked so hard to price check the cheapest routes to help me save money, as it was ranging between $300-$600 elsewhere. UPS had the cheapest cost, more than USPS. They were able to cut down boxes and consolidate, which brought my cost down significantly. So grateful for them going above and beyond!! read more

TL,DR: Sara and Marshall are amazing!! There is a UPS store much closer to my house, but I will drive the extra distance for the friendly service I receive every time at this location. My phone number was pulling up another person's name in the system for quite a while and I asked the gentleman at the Mira Mesa location to update it on four different occasions and it never actually happened. I ended up at the Scripps Poway Pkwy location and ran into the same issue. Sara offered to fix it - and she really did! She seems like an absolutely lovely person, always has a smile on her face, goes above and beyond, and is knowledge and efficient at her job. Marshall is also very kind and helpful. UPS no longer provides prepaid envelopes and boxes that FEDEX does! Made the mistake to use UPS to ship 3 smartphones for my work. As these were prepaid labels from our corporate account, I was going to ship these using UPS provided labeled boxes. The store manager informed me that they do not provide boxes and I had to purchase white craft boxes. While frustrating, I did and to add insult to injury, 3 small boxes were $13. This added cost of inconvenience is something for all to be aware of. Will definitely be requesting our company to switch our shipper to FedEx until this policy changes. read more

Don't go with Amazon returns. I have had bad experience with Amazon returns for the past few times. They just don't want to take the package and pushes for purchase of boxes, even when Amazon label clearly says no packaging needed. I went to the office at 4:45 to open a mail box, however one male clerk told me manager is not here, I have to wait for 15 mins. and when I return to store again, after I waited for 5 mins, a lady showed up with the purse on her hand and told me she is ready to go home and she usually she gets home at 5pm and I should come back tomorrow. and then I looked at the male clerk , the male clerk is so freak out and immediately told me that I should come back in 15 mins, instead of 20 mins. I looked at the time, it is only 5:10pm, This store opens until 6pm everyday. what kind of customer service is it? And funny thing is that when I returned to UPS store again next day and the same store manager told me that medium inbox sold out, only larger container left. I just had such a wonderful customer experience at this store!! I came in for what should have been a very simple Amazon return of multiple items. However, due to my own errors, there were complications. Dee, the amazing person who helped me, was so incredibly patient and informative!! She went over and above. I rarely use UPS for shipping. Now i know why, I ordered something online and the sender used UPS. Before I received the package, I initiated a return and brought it back to this UPS store to return to original sender. They said no receipts are given. The packages are lost, I contacted the UPS claim support like 10 times, investigation is still ongoing for months. No one can give me any answer. Horrible customer service. The two front desk guys do not know what customer service is. One of them was taking passport photos for four people and let the line grow because we are "busy". Are you kidding me? I am returning Amazon packages which are supposed to take less than 30 seconds and I am expecting to wait for combing hairs and putting on makeup?! And the other front desk guy was telling me I have to turn off dark mode on my phone to scan. Are you kidding me?? I have scanned successfully at other UPS locations in Mira Mesa and they work perfectly fine. But this yahoo insists on me to turn off dark mode and refuses service until I do so. I just sent 3 large pictures professionally framed through this UPS store and they were delivered rattling in a large box without any wrapping or protection or even a fragile sticker, after the employee promising me that they would be well packed and secure. Needless to say the pictures got there completely disassembled. Very poor and terrible service. Never going back there. Btw the cost was $192 from SD to DC. read more
