This UPS location is a mess. They block cars in when dropping off packages and show zero care in how they handle deliveries. I literally just watched an employee throw a package straight onto the ground. They overcharge, and the customer service is awful. Do yourself a favor--skip this place and go to USPS instead. read more

I came in to return a package. $2 just to print a return label. Plus the cost for a plastic packaging bag was astronomical. I know there's lots of inflation, but give me a break. If you rent a mailbox, make sure you read the agreement before you sign. If they say they are having trouble printing it out and ask you to get the payment out of the way before reading it, tell them you'll wait. You must agree not to file a change of address with the US Post Office if you stop using the UPS mailbox. Instead, you have the option to pay a monthly forwarding fee as much as $50 for up to six months. read more

I wouldn't normally think to review a UPS store, but they were soooo helpful here, I felt compelled to share how great they were. I came in after landing in the states from the UK. I wasn't familiar yet with the mask rules etc. The young man that works here, took his time answering my questions, even about local mask rules etc. He helped me choose a shipping box, quoted pricing, etc. After I brought the box back in, half full, he suggested I allow him to cut it in half, to save me a significant amount of money. This was not something he had to do, nor was it a quick task. He broke out the box cutter, and took his time getting it down to size before re-taping it. This saved me about $60. He honestly didn't have to do that, and I have never had anyone offer to do that at a shipping center before. Above and beyond service that I greatly appreciated. I wish all UPS centers had these ethics and level of care for their customers. read more

Surprisingly painless to use them for our notary services! From what I understand this location is locally owned, which is great for the community. We scheduled a time online and showed up for the appointment. The gentleman behind the desk was quick, efficient, and communicative about the process. He was very friendly and we were on our way very quick, and for a reasonable price. The store is fine. Buy things, copy things, whatever. It's clean, it's functional, the staff are great. That being said? After over a decade of living here, I have never once received a UPS package in Salem. Every last single time, they leave a little "Sorry we missed you!" sticker. No, you didn't. I work at home. I've worked at home, for YEARS. I have never *received* a UPS package. Either I chase it down to the center, or they mail it back to sender, even if it was rush overnight delivery. The store? that's fine. Get your services wherever. Sending things out? Also fine. But? Using UPS to mail anything to the people who live here is a foolish mistake and you will regret it. I've trusted this UPS store to ship important packages to remote loved ones for years. But what prompted me to write this review is the outstanding customer service. TL;DR: This store fought for me after "coporate" said it couldn't be done. They got it done. I sent a package from there to an address that, unbeknownst to me, was no longer valid for the individual. It was a sentimental package for an upcoming birthday. I called UPS using the 800 number on the "mothership" website hoping to be able to change the delivery location by a few miles-- not like a different distribution station or anything-- and the package was still en route. I got a robot on the phone who suggested, after a long and difficult "conversation," that the best way for me to do this was on the website. The website is impossible. Seriously, impossible. So, completely frustrated, I called the Salem store I sent it from. They called their corporate folks and were told that the package delivery could not be changed. After calling me back and delivering the bad news, they called their people back (I didn't know they were going to do this) and fought for me. They got the delivery changed! In this day and age of ZERO customer service, this store stands apart. And, while I'm here I'll also point out that they also have always done an excellent job of packing and shipping my fragile items (musical instruments, art work, etc.) read more

The new owners here are INCREDIBLE!! (The UPS Store recently took over what used to be All Pro Shipping - do yourself a favor and ignore those old reviews for this address, there is ENTIRELY new management here and they are stellar!) Warm, friendly, helpful, honest and accurate. They greet you as soon as you walk in the door, and cheerily help every customer there. I overnighted a computer to my IT department (something I had also previously done with All Pro - same size, weight, and destination) and it cost me HALF of what I paid last time. Not only is the service top rate, but bonus: this place is also now totally CLEAN and organized! Which customers of old management will surely notice and appreciate. Under new management, great service. Ive had an account here since this was all pro shipping, and before that when it was originally the ups store. The store staff is friendly, quick and helpful. Store provides a lot of shipping services and products that you may need last minute, like boxes, envelopes, tape, paper, cards, bubble wrap, etc. The store is clean, well lit, and even if there is a line, it moves quickly. PO Box prices are affordable. I like that i get an email notification when a package arrives to my po box. read more

If anyone needs the service of UPS this is the place to go. I needed to ship a baby carriage and with its large size I thought I may have an issue. In fact I called my local UPS and when I gave the measurements he said it was too big for their boxes. I called this UPS and Ken heard the size and simply said we can take care of it even if we combined 2 boxes. That's it! Plus when I arrived they offered to get it out of my car for me. Michelle was amazing and between her and Ken they were able to pack it up while protecting all the areas I was concerned with. Very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and made this seem so easy to do. I previously complained about a holiday package that was processed with the incorrect address and the wrong package delivered to a friend in CA. Well, the owner and staff attacked the mistake with a vengence (yes, it was the holidays, and yes a crazy time to mail anything!) and have spent hours contacting and locating the package... they indeed found it and are in the process of reshipping. All is good and I appreciate their owning up to the mistake and not giving up until it was rectified. I went in to this store twice to attempt to send a key. I fully explained twice that it was a key to a mailbox and it was not to be sent to the mailbox. Twice it was delivered to the mailbox. By the time I got extra keys made and paid for mailing I wasted about $20. I will get another key made and send it Fedex. read more

I went to the UPS Store. I am legally blind and the employee (I really wish I got his name) was extremely helpful. He helped me gather what I need and got my package ready to ship. When he had printed my receipt, without me even saying anything, he went to the copier and enlarged my receipt so I could see the tracking number better. I called to check on a package, that UPS had left a notice on my door for a missed package delivery. I didn't see a number so i called my closest UPS store for help, the man on the phone was very rude, instead of being helpful and telling me how I could go about finding my package he just kept saying "no" to all of my questions (exp: could you help my find the location where my package will be held?) I had been to a FedEx before and they where able to track packages.... Why can't UPS? This person just sounded like he hated his job and could careless to help. read more

We took a bunch of large fragile items to be boxed. The owners of the store could not have been more helpful in figuring-out ways to box our oversized items in a cost effective and safe manner. NOTE: They go now by ALL Pro Shipping Center, not UPS Store This is the absolute worst service I've ever received in all of my years as a business owner. After calling for a simple request to "check my box #" to see if I had any mail there (I was waiting for something important to pick up, traveling with someone on crutches, and was trying to avoid a wasted trip, if possible) I was abrasively told they were not going to check because they were "too busy and to call back later." Shocked by the curt response, we proceeded to the store to check and see if there was mail or not and to also speak to the attendant about the concern in how we were spoken to and the lack of professional willingness to assist. The rest of the situation is as follows: The attendant (supposedly the owner, Tanya) was in the back & came to the counter aggressively as we were speaking to the male attendant about it. She took over the conversation, basically verbally attacked (yelling, & with threatening body language) us for simply letting them know that they should listen to their customer's concerns. She said she didn't have to listen to us, it wasn't part of their service & told us to "get out of my store," even though we are CURRENT paying customers. The other owner told her several times to stop the conversation and let it go. Suffice it to say, she never did. I asked repeatedly that she listen to what I was saying, but she only continued to yell shouting that she didn't have to listen to any of my concerns. After threatening to call the police (we gladly asked her to do so), because she clearly intended it as a threat. We were eager to let the police know what had happened too & how harassed we felt by her language and demeanor. Then, the TRUTH surfaced. Astonishingly, she told the police officers that we were anti-men (age-old stereotype about the lesbian community), which was not only irrelevant to the situation, but completely untrue and fabricated statement. She learned that we were a GAY couple in our prior exchange before the police. We told the officer that half of our employees are men and that obviously her discriminatory statement was ludicrous. What it WAS however, is that this person today and this business in the past, always made us feel as if they were ANTI-GAY. It seems as if Tanya and management do not appreciate gay customers. As a gay biz owner, this is highly troublesome in a town where pro-gay biz etiquette, especially in a town where gay discrimination is not tolerated, even coming from as high up as the Mayor's Office. We have the police report and as a lesbian business owner, I will never, ever go back to this store. We have filed reports with the BBB (and now the go by All Pro Shipping Center conveniently, because you cannot find a website presence or much information under that name). read more

I had great hopes for this UPS under new management. But OMG who did they hire? He is hostile toward customers. I have been on extended travel and have had problems getting my mail forwarded, with tracking numbers. I did receive it twice, but it has not been forwarded or lost more often than I have received it. I've had my health care dropped and my credit cards blocked because I didn't receive the new cards or respond to important financial mail I didn't get. I have been frustrated, have real problems reaching the owner to sort this out, and I've tried being wicked nice and telling them how important my mail is, but everything is now "my fault", so I have been told. I try to work things out if at all possible, but this has been out of bounds. This is the only bad review I have ever given. read more

No UPS envelopes at the UPS store: I went to drop off documents using a prepaid shipping label but I needed an envelope. At the drop box they usually stock free supplies, like the plastic self-sealing envelopes people normally use, but at the UPS store the clerk had never heard of this and I had to BUY a non-UPS envelope. Also I doubt the kid behind the counter was a Notary like they advertised. If you're shipping anything go try somewhere else. read more

UPS Store here is really nice. The employees different ones all are nice. Except some guy came in one time. Who was a vendor and stopped customers from printing. Because he could not respect the owner enough to wait 5 minutes while his store was in business. Today is Monday March 2cd. It is the first time I have been in there that the store was kind of off. Apparently, I was informed that the store is closing early so that the staff can leave early because it is privately owned so the Owner can close it on the start of a Business week. I've been renting a mailbox here for a little over a year now and utilize their print + shred + faxing services on a regular basis for my businesses. I highly recommend this place, and that is mostly because of the above board service of their employees. They remember your name, greet you, and take genuine interest in my mail. On many occasions I have received packages, and they have called me, and even stay open an extra 10 minutes so I could come pick it up. I've never met the owner, but if he/she reads this, your staff is irreplaceable. read more

Not sure how to encapsulate my experience with these guys. One is very nice, but didn't deliver on his promises, the other just makes excuses for why he can't do his job. I have run offices for over 12 years...when we communicated with a customer or patient, we always kept a record of our conversation, and ANYONE who ran the office was able to communicate/carry on whatever ongoing customer issue was addressed. I shipped a return package through them, UPS lost my merchandise and told me they couldn't talk to me at all about my problem...I had to go through the store. One guy told me he couldn't help at all because he didn't handle my claim, and the other told me he'd resolve it, tried to work through it but when it came to tussling with the company for a return check, didn't call me back. As it stands, my merchandise has been lost, I'm out $40+, and I won't bother to ship with UPS again. GO FED EX. read more
