RIP-OFF!!!!! I ordered a large item from Amazon with a free return option (16.5"D x 19.69"W x 5.88" small vanity sink). I found a better price and per Amazon instructions I refused delivery from the UPS truck driver (so it would be returned to Amazon). Next day an email came saying that the UPS would try to deliver it the next day (so refusing the delivery did not work). I would be at work and there was a serious snowstorm coming. On the UPS website there was option to "change delivery" to the nearest UPS store in Brighton NY, for a fee of $5.99. This is the UPS Shipping policy: "" The UPS Store and other UPS Access Point locations can hold your package for up to seven calendar days at no additional charge"." The next day I went to the Twelve Corners UPS store at 2604 Elmwood Ave. The manager was confused when I said I was picking up. She asked if I had a mailbox there. Another employee said the package had just been delivered, minutes before. I said it was an Amazon return. She acted as if I was pulling something shady. She said since it was a large box, there would be a $35 fee for storage. When I asked why this $35 "storage fee" wasn't conveyed on the UPS website, she said that the UPS store is a separate entity. The fee is at the discretion of the franchise owner. I had to pay the "storage" fee or she would nor "release" the package. I doubt she would have charged me this $35 "storage fee" if I was simply picking up. I asked where I could see this "storage policy" and she replied 'You are hearing it from me". This is some sort of issue this store has with Amazon returns, IMO. And they are doubling down that this is ok business behavior. Purely arbitrary. I was ripped off. read more

The service at this location is terrible, at Amazon returns especially. The manager who serves as the notary was unwilling to performs her notary duties. I was told to return the next day, which I did; at that time I realized that she blatantly lied to me the previous day when she claimed she "was gone for the day". I have had good service here in the past, but today was terrible. In the past I have had no problem taking my Amazon returns here, doing exactly as Amazon instructed - no repackaging, just bring the item in. Today, however, the gal behind the counter insisted that I purchase packaging there, or go home and repackage it myself, even though Amazon instructed not to do this, and even though I have had no problems bringing my articles in unpacked in the past. This is my go-to place for businessy needs I can't get done at home. First, they have great hours and location. Second, the staff is always completely helpful and professional either in person or by phone. And third, did I mention the staff? My home printer is moody and so I always send important print job here and then swing by to pick up. Easy! The prices are reasonable and if you're on the mailing list you'll receive good discounts. The young man(sorry I didn't get his name, but he was wearing a Bills face mask) was so friendly and polite and processed my return to merchant quickly! He made the process way too easy. Dont charge me to tape my box! This is the only UPS store that has tried to charge me. I send and receive packages several times a week, I should not be charged for the 5 cents of tape I need each time. read more

I've been a UPS box holder for three years now and have had nothing but consistently good service, but today topped it all. There was a mix-up with one of my packages delivered to my box (I've had hundreds of deliveries and this was the first mix-up), so an employee drove all the way to Webster to retrieve the package and dropped it off to my location. Called a week ago to find out if they did heat transfer printing for shirts. I was advised by an employee that they did and the cost of a $2 printing fee and then .59 cents per page. Went this morning to get 12 pages done and the first sheet was fried in the printer. No refund for the cost of my paper that I had to purchase beforehand as they don't have any for sale in house. Left my information for a manager to call me. Was also advised to wait until Nick the manager came in this afternoon to call him or he would call me. 5:50 pm I call this location and speak to Nick and he was absolutely NO help he sat on the phone saying nothing so not only did I have to go elsewhere after I had to replace my ruined sheet. I needed exactly 12 and that's exactly how many I had bought.. so more money spent because they did not know what they were doing. The unprofessionalism of this manager and the staff is disheartening. You never leave a customer hanging and should always take responsibility for your bad service. Why should I have to replace my paper that I had to purchase to begin with? A manager is the captain of the ship and when they fail so does the team.. I will never patronize this store again, I will also make my family, friends, social media outlets and local blog communities aware of how poorly this establishment is run. I asked for the owners name and information and got denied. Could not even get corporate's number for this location. The corporate number on file said this is a franchise location so they could not help me. This is unacceptable to me and I am going to make everyone aware. read more
