I've had a mailbox at this location since 2018. I have watched many of their employees come and go. I've seen the store ownership change. I love this place. I receive lots of packages and I don't always have the ability to pick them up right away. The store receives and stores my packages well. Under this new ownership, they have not ever lost any of my packages. The employees are friendly and helpful. They always remain pleasant and professional, even when I hand them a stack of slips for 14 packages. Malachi is the manager and he is exceptional. He knows me by name and sight, and his memory is great. Sometimes when I'm picking up packages, he will remember that another package just came in for me and will grab it instead of making me come back. At one point, he or another employee would gather my packages and have them waiting for me. The price of the mailbox is more than fair for what I get. Prices for other items trend on the higher side, but it's the price you pay for convenience. I've shipped packages here and the prices weren't much different than USPS. The lines at this store can be long at times, but the employees do their best to move through the lines quickly. read more

Paid over $117 to overnight less than 2 lbs of much needed medication to LA. The clerk was new, flustered kept having to ask for help for every customer. She NEVER mentioned the fact that UPS does not deliver on Sunday!!! Not once and we had issues with the address so there was plenty of time to warn me that the medications would take 2 days!!!! I could have used the post office for a lot less and had the same delivery time. They refuse to admit it. Refused to give a refund or even a reduction in price. I was offered a discount on our next visit which I will not use as I do not trust they know how to properly run the store and my shipment will arrive. So this is why you get 1 star. Pretty Disappointed in this whole process. Dropped some paperwork off to be shipped overnight via UPS. Paid $150+, and was told it would be to the destination "early next day" according to the receipt it should have been there around 8:30am. It's now 11:30, I've been tracking the package since this morning and it still hasn't been delivered. No one has a clue other than to apologize. I understand stuff happens, the reason for the review is I'm kind of annoyed i paid for nothing, since it was going to the East coast I am sure they will be closed by the time it's delivered, and this has never happened when I have sent things next day via other UPS stores. I don't know if the staff wasn't trained well, everyone I spoke to was pretty young and seems not really clear on providing information when I asked but they all were very nice. Lesson learned, I should have gone to the UPS store that I never had a problem with. So, I guess I just wanted share my experience. Make sure if you are paying hearty price to ship something overnight, make sure they can actually do that. read more

I went into the store for a passport photo and Navleen and blond guy both looked at me and laughed at my appearance. So, I asked them, "what's so funny?" Blond guy made some lame excuse Navleen doesn't like taking passport photo. So what? How is that my problem? Then he told me I can't wear white for a white background. I had a cream polka dot dress on. Fine. So I left and came back with a different top. I asked for a passport photo again and Navleen laughs again. Blond guy took my photo, and he was nice (a little too late). The quality of the photo was suboptimal and excessively yellow thumbs down. At this point, I just wanted to leave. I recently subscribed to a subscription clothing rental service that only accepts returns through UPS. This is my closest store, still out of my way . Luckily, they are really nice and usually fast . When there is a wait , it is not their fault- the employees all take time to help customers. My only complaint is they do not have a drop box outside ! They have a USPS drop box, but not UPS. It seems weird to me. Paid parcels cannot be dropped off after hours , on Sundays, or even when a long line is inconvenient. read more

Went in today to ship out a prepaid, packaged, labeled, and all that jazz package. Due to Covid rules they're only allowing a handful of customers in at a time. There's at least a 30 minute line at all times of day. I've got a newborn and simply don't have time for that, which is why I handle the time consuming bit myself from home. I've never had this problem at USPS or another third party shipping place I frequent. My package is ready to go so the least Covid friction would be for me to pop in and drop it off, right? I do so, ask where I can drop it, and they tell I have to wait in line (what's the point of the online system then?). I put the box in the floor by the door (out of the way of foot traffic) and go on my way. On the way out someone yells at me "don't leave that box there!" as if I'm breaking a law or some moral code. I've dropped a UPS package off inside a UPS Store. Hello? By not waiting in line and standing in your store and interacting with you I'm doing both of us a favor. Update: At COB the third day, my package was scanned and put in transit. This has ensured it won't arrive in time for the holidays. I can't think that was an accident. I really like this store. It's small, but they're always able to help me. I want to call out Mr. "Mike C." the Yelp Elite who bashed on them for not just letting him drop his package by the door. Do not come here for notary services! They refused to notarize a form because not all sections of the form could be filled out. I am the legal representative (power of attorney and I brought all the POA paperwork) and thus, the legal rep section applied to me. The non-applicable section does not apply and does not need to be completed, but the notary manager said they couldn't notarize unless that's also completed! They should be an impartial witness to my signature. They should not be advising me on how to best fill out the form. You are not breaking the law by leaving a NON-APPLICABLE section blank. What amateur hour. Should not be licensed as a notary. I had this form notarized without any issues shortly after. read more

Customer service in general is really poor at this location. The longer term employees are quite rude. It seems there are several short term employees that come through who are really nice, but don't stick around for long. I'd say the longer term employees need to be educated on what customer service is all about and change their attitudes. I rarely make reviews on yelp, but feel after 2 years of only going to this location when I absolutely have to as it's close to my house, I'm really tired of having employees here drop and toss boxes around at least 5 feet as if it's a game to see how well packed they are when you tell them it is fragile inside. It seems they want to piss customers off. Not happy with this location at all. Much more friendly at the main Basin location or if you happen to be in the Foster neighborhood - They are fantastic there!! Another example is if you get there at 6:28 and have 5 boxes to ship, they like to remind you they close in two minutes and if they don't check in all of your boxes in the next two minutes, they won't accept what's not checked in, in that last 2 minutes- even if you are standing right there with all the boxes at 6:28!! These were also pre-shipping labeled boxes!! It blows my mind the level of rudeness here. The ladies at the Basin location are sweet and kind and as long as you get there before they lock the door, they are helping you out! In fact I'd say every other UPS store I've been to has outstanding service. read more

I understand that COVID-19 is affecting all of us. The last two times I've gone to this store during weekday hours, they have been closed due to special circumstances (one, their employees had been working hard, and then because of smoke from the forest fires). Though it is farther away, I will be going to the 3439 NE Sandy Blvd store. It is considered "an essential UPS" store, and therefore required to be open during posted hours. Do not drop off packages at this UPS location. Employees either misplace or STEAL your returns. Two weeks ago, I dropped off a CPU for return to Amazon. I called this UPS location just now to ask about the status of the package and was told: (1) the UPS worker who received the CPU drop off two weeks ago should have offered a return receipt (which they did not - I was rushed out of the location) (2) I have no recourse to trace or obtain the "missing" return I was promptly hung up on. read more

This is the place I travel to whenever I need to send out a package. Each time I visit the staff have been super nice and accommodating to any of my shipping needs. I tend to ship things on a semi-regular basis as my family in Reno are often requiring shipments of Aardvark sauce and I tend to rent many of my school textbooks. Once I had to ship our something that was fragile and valuable in a sentimental way. The staff were able to package things up to they would have a higher probability of arriving without being damaged. I enjoy that this UPS Store is in the same shopping center as my credit union (Advantis) as well as a Whole Foods and a public library. The only think I'm not a fan of is the parking lot for this shopping center (This is of no fault to the UPS Store of course!). I have often found it easier and less stressful to park in the neighborhood and walk over. read more

Do NOT trust the staff at this location with your packages. We recently came here to have our package returned and the employee brushed us off when we asked for a receipt. Weeks later, the package is nowhere to be found, and the staff at this location will not take responsibility. We've called multiple times requesting that they help us track it, and have instead been hung up on. My guess is that the employee who helped us simply stole it for herself. read more

I have never had an issue with UPS before until yesterday. I ordered an item and requested it be shipped to my work address but for some reason it was shipped to this store. I contacted UPS customer service and they confirmed my package was delivered to this location, but they were unsure why. When I came to the store they "didn't have anything with my name on it in the back." I was extremely upset and furious because it did not make sense to me as to why someone named "HARRIS" at this location signed for my package but they supposedly did not have it. Andrew went to the back for maybe 5 mins and claimed there was nothing. Andrew kept trying to tell me their UPS driver "did tell us there was a package missing" from their delivery and it could've been mine. Andrew and Randall tried to tell me they do not scan every package individually once it's delivered. In my mind I thought they would scan each item individually and sign for it so the recipient of the package will know where their item is at, is that not true? I understand packages may say it's "delivered" but it was not, which what I was told by Andrew and Randall numerous times. But it truly did not make any sense to me. Why would my tracking number show up at this location? I don't know if they were trying to steal my package or if andrew was being lazy and did not go through everything in the back thoroughly. This is unacceptable behavior. Thankfully I was able to get a hold of UPS customer service again and thank you to Nicole, Tara, Marquis and Clara for helping me find my package. Nicole with UPS customer service confirmed my package was indeed at this store location. I went back and my package was there, WITH my name on it. Additionally, none of the workers apologized for their mistakes. Just overall terrible service at this location. I really hope management at this location talks to Andrew, Randall and the man who has blonde hair regarding better customer service, courtesy and common sense. I will never come back to this location, and I hope none of my packages are ever mistakenly delivered here. read more

I visited this UPS Store yesterday for the first time. There were protocols in place to keep all safe, i.e. masks to be worn and only 3 customers allowed in at a time. The line outside was fairly long, but moved quite fast. Once inside, I found the service excellent. Micah was knowledgeable and pleasant. Always grateful for good service! Thank you! read more

UPDATE: The buyer of the piece I shipped tells me two weeks later it hasn't arrived and the tracking number is wrong. So I call the store, she remembers the package and says "oh yeah I meant to call you, the tracking number changed." Apparently after she packed it the insurance changed and thus the number but she never let me know. This piece of furniture was going to another shipper to go offshore. I sure hope it's now not lost for good and I have to eat $1000.00. I will NEVER use this store again! read more

Oh no! Feb 28 the employee did not scan my package. The label was already printed and box closed upon arrival 6:22P. The gal was so busy with her face in her cell phone~directed me to just put it down which I did. I called 2 days later because I could not track and follow the trip and was told to wait 5 days and the destination will scan it upon arrival. That time passed and no sign of it. It could be lost or stolen. How to make the store responsible? I contact UPS. Each store individual franchise. Store #6227 is owned by Don who called me. He will talk to the employee BUT he wants to come at your own risk. His own words. They are busy. They are NOT UPS. Ask for a receipt when you drop something off. read more

Then one called me back about a fee I could have avoided if she knew the policy but no I had to pay money I dont have especially at times like this to just pick up my mail which was way less than what I payed. Since every UPS Store on the planet is exactly the same, really the only category in which one can do differentiate itself is customer service. I have got to say that in my experience, the customer service at this location has been top notch. I'm sure it'd be easy to get cranky when you're dealing with a confused, less-than-sympathetic public who view their visit to your store as a necessary evil. Somehow, the people at this particular UPS Store never let it phase them, and they're always been nice as pie. On my last visit I came in with some Christmas presents that had to be returned. I didn't have a printed label. I didn't have a box. I didn't have a clue. Basically i walked up to them, handed them a mess of clothes and yelled "HELP ME!" Turns out, they were able to. They walked me through step-by-step on how to get everything sent out at the least cost to me, in the most efficient manner. I'm sure I looked like an ill prepared idiot, but they didn't care. There's no phasing the folks at the UPS Store. They've got this shiz down. In businesses of this category, I don't think people really shop around much based on customer service of features. One of the great things about not working up to my potential is I almost never have to deal with shipping, mailing or any of that sending stuff places. Those days are thankfully past me. But I buy stuff online. And sometimes that doesn't work out. So you print the label that [e-tailer name redacted] provides you, you take whatever item is going back to this UPS Store and you say "[redacted] return" and let them take it from there. At some point they will ask for money, they'll give you a receipt with a tracking number and you are done. Until the next "This isn't what the description said" moment. read more

Seriously, why do I even bother taking packages to the Post Office anymore? I think it's just force of habit, some kind of misplaced patriotism or perhaps just lingering nostalgia for a time when the USPS was known for it's "neither snow nor rain nor heat..." fidelity and efficiency. I still have this mental picture of Sam Drucker's Post Office inside his general store. Sam wasn't particularly efficient, but he was certainly affable. The last time I was at the Post Office, I waited in line forever and the lady at the counter was far from Hooterville friendly. There's never a line at the UPS Store and the prices are about the same. The service is indeed friendly and I have just a bit more confidence that my package is going to make it where I want it to go. Quick, fast and easy. Plenty of parking at this location, too.
