This is a very busy post office, but I am grateful how professional and kind all of the employees are. I run a small home business that requires lots of shipping, and I've always been treated with respect and kindness. It's nice to be greeted with a smile, and to encounter the same employees each time I come in. There's a real sense of community at this location. A couple things that could be better, I wish PO Boxes weren't so expensive and I wish there were more of them. There are a number of receptacles outside for driving up and dropping off mail, which is convenient. But there is a 13 oz weight limit... which requires I take book-sized packages inside. Oh well, you can't have everything. I'll just wear a mask and make it quick! I highly recommend this location if you're in the area, or have flexibility in which office you go to. Convenient location and there is always plenty of parking on the street right out front. For this reason, I stop here when having to mail packages rather than go to the post office close to my house, which is downtown and impossible to find parking. They take credit cards here which is a huge plus. The Post Office in Hollywood only takes cash, and while that location is also convenient, I rarely have bills on me. This location offers the supplies - boxes, envelopes, postal tape, stamps - and a large table to package up your items. When there is a line, it moves quickly. Some of the workers are friendly, some aren't - just like people in all walks of life! read more

Today, 5/3/2024, I live in the Rose City neighborhood and our wonderful regular mail carrier is off. At our mail slot are the words "do not leave parcels here" and instruct the mail carrier where to place them. Even though there are no vehicles in the driveway does not mean no one is home, because I was. Today's mail carrier blatantly disregarded my note and threw my package against the first door,not knowing what was inside. I saved the video just in case the Rose City Park PO wants to see it. read more

It's hard to review a Post Office without reviewing the carriers. The post office service and cleanliness is awesome. Kudos to you for that. The carrier service on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently, we're not on anyone's route so it's hit or miss on how today's delivery will be. We often get mail from 2 streets over. read more

Cool, now they've removed their outside drop boxes. And their lobby doors are locked so you can't even drop packages inside. I tried going to the airport post office, there's nowhere to drop packages there now, suddenly. And THIS post office gives zero options for you if you're there past business hours and simply want to drop something off. USPS has really lost the plot and needs to be completely overhauled if it's going to survive even a few more years in this country. read more

I am writing from Melbourne, Australia, and have recently been scammed by someone located in Portland. A device is being shipped to this post office and I am trying to intercept the parcel and notify them fraudulent activity is occurring with one of their po boxes. I spoke with USPS who advised the parcel would be shipped to this post office and to try phoning through so they can hopefully return it back to the sender (me) I have tried for the last 3 days phoning them at all times of the day and haven't been able to speak with anyone. Wondering if any has experienced this before? Or of there's another contact or email for them? read more

During the holiday season there was a line that stretched beyond the glass doors, okay nothing too surprising. However, one of the regulars (nice by the way) was sloooowly flipping through stamp books commenting on every design choice with a customer. Really? I get the one customer at a time and everyone is special quip, but there are times you need to consider the greater good. The self-service machine is often down, jammed, or stuffed on weekends. The carriers who work out of this location have been consistency awesome for ~15 years! Most people who work at the facility are nice, they're just employed by an inefficient bureaucracy. read more

It's a post office, so manage your expectations accordingly, right? Well, here at this branch the staff was super friendly on the phone, helping me out with a strange situation. Dare I say they went above and beyond? Sure, I'l dare to say it. They went above and beyond. Then I went in, and they were once again super helpful. Losing a package is no fun. My mom sent me a coat and my birthday present only for me to find out it was deemed undeliverable. I don't know why/who or how this was decided. They deliver crap to my place all the time. Frustration aside, I received no notification of said underliverablility and found out (after talking to two different USPS facilities) that it had been sent back to sender same day. This can apparently take up to 14 business days for it to make it back). I called this location because it was the one the package was mailed out from. I spoke with Heather and wanted to write this because not only did she wash a huge wave of relief with me, she was really kind in trying to find out if the address on the package was legible (i'm sure it was, my mother is the daughter of a former post master). Heather didn't make me feel like an idiot and recommended a solution for the problem. Thank you, Heather for all your help. read more

They stole my mail because my box is tiny and they filled it. Every single thing in there and force me to go pick it up. Wtf

This post office has failed to deliver, redeliver and even find my packages when I'm in the post office. They have carriers that have left the wrong info, have not taken mail I've left in the box and constantly leave my mail where it is soaked by the time I'm home to get it. I call to try and resolve the issues and get snide "I'm sorry's" and "No you can't speak to the manager". I work in custoimer service and if I treated my customers like this I'd be fired.Thsi post office branch is so awful it makes me want to move. EDIT: The manager here is pretty much the only reason this place gets more than one star. She consistently fixes what the carrier messes up. She did end up allowing me to pick up a package later than I was supposed to be able to, which was nice. The only issue is that they had a second package and the guy didn't even bother looking for it even though I came out of my way for a second time in one day. So I had to go back again when I told them I was unable to. Sigh. read more

The US Postal Service is awesome. I just mailed 11 packages at this branch, each containing a book, for $3.72 a piece, via media mail (tracking info included). If I was to send these via some other delivery service (FedEx, UPS, or any other entity hoping to privatize the USPS) I'd be looking at at least $15 each for shipping. Publicly owned services are a good thing.... they just get taken for granted (until they're gone). Service at this branch was swift, friendly, and excellent all the way around. I had to bring seven different packages here in one day (moving by mail is a workout y'all), and every time I came in the staff were keeping that line moving like crazy! They were also a lot friendlier than your average post office staff even while working three times as efficiently. This post office doesn't have that understaffed and overstressed feeling that a lot of them do and I would absolutely recommend it. read more
