I specified this location for a pickup because I couldn't be home for the extended times UPS might deliver. UPS considers the stores as legitimate pickup locations. However using the Pflugerville Pecan St location will result in some rude treatment from the owner. She and I had an unpleasant conversation about the fact that since I wasn't her "customer", she was entitled to charge me a pickup fee. According to her I had no business in using her store as a pickup location. She mentioned charging me a fee. I happen to know the regulations about shipping and calmly explained that she had no right to limit pickups in the UPS system. She became increasingly rude and angry but finally released the package. She really wanted to be angry and didn't expect dealing with someone knowledgeable about the regulations related to interstate commerce. The regular employees are fine, no issues. However this woman has ensured that that store will not see any of my UPS business that will generate revenue for her. read more

Stopped in here to drop off a 60 pound package which was to be returned to Amazon. It was good quick In-N-Out friendly service. However, they made me carry it all the way to the back room. We tested ups with a set of packages for our destination wedding. It went well. So we sent a second round via UPS. The boxes should have arrived Wednesday. But the person who shipped them added signature required which we did not want. After 2 hours on the phone, the ups will not change the no signature on the phone. They sent a link to fix this but it has about 200 places to click. Not helpful. Do my wedding is going to begin tomorrow morning and 2 boxes of things I had delivered to our house for a year and carefully selected will probably not arrive to our wedding. This is the only thing that has gone wrong. Select this vendor with caution. Ups could have stepped up and delivered this package Wednesday on time as promised. I had a VERY important package that was supposed to be delivered yesterday between 1:30pm and 5:30pm. The package never came and not only that but the tracking data recalibrated and said it would be here today between those same hours. The problem is my mom is having surgery tomorrow. We were planning on driving to MD Anderson in Houston, but the package contains old medical records that don't exist in a database anywhere. So why is this a 5 star review? Bc Justin Curtis at the Ft. Worth store off 209 West 2nd Street in Ft. Worth (Store 5318) went out of his way trying to find the package. So even though I went from planning on driving my mom to Houston, to buying a ticket to Houston, now flying standby...if it wasn't for Justin, I wouldn't have been able to plan ahead for something VERY serious. Pre-pandemic, I did not like this store. Davina was curt & rushing me when I was pulling up barcodes for Amazon returns. Post-pandemic, I had a completely different experience & I attribute this to a change in my perspective. Customer service jobs suck. I've had them for 20+ years. Society changes & the standards from the past sometimes no longer apply. Additionally, I check my ego when I am frustrated with a customer & I turn it into kindness; this is something I do on the flip side when I am in the role of customer. I humanize others & remind myself that one never knows what another person is going through in that moment. However, I am not perfect & just a continuous work in progress. What some fail to recognize, is that behind the scenes, there are many instances that are out of the employees control. Sure, when someone does not explain how it works or provides limited resolve, it can be frustrating. For years now, I continue to use this specific UPS store services for Amazon returns & dropping off prepaid UPS packages. I have observed many interactions between customers, Davina, & other employees so I have a really thorough understanding of what happens with those interactions. Now, the younger employees have no idea what the prior standards of customer service are by no fault of their own. They grow up in a completely different world & holding them to a standard they have not been taught nor exposed to is unfair & counterintuitive. Us older folks have to adjust to society endlessly transforming otherwise you will just be a miserable old fool. It can be frustrating at times, sure, but not worth getting angry about; there is really nothing we can do to change it. As for the long lines & wait time, remember the days before cellphones & advanced technology when life was not rushed & we stood in line without being so impatient? In conclusion, Davina is just doing what she can with what she has & sometimes a solution she offers may not be the solution you want, but that is out of her control, I promise you. She is just trying to help & by no means trying to be difficult just to be difficult. Pleasing an angry person is exhausting & just because someone is "on the clock" getting paid does not mean you can be an a** & they have to deal with it. Employees are not therapists, not anger management counselors, nor caregivers there to soothe you. I advise anyone who angrily enters any place of business to check your ego & ask yourself, "what is the point of being this angry & being rude to another person, over many things I cannot change & truly are insignificant in the overall big picture in life?" This is my second review of this place, the first one was a one star also. Shame on me for giving them a second chance. Jeremy is the issue, working by himself on this Sunday must have been upset about working on the weekend or something. Answers the phone, "Thank you for calling the UPS store, how can I help you?" I started to explain my needs and suddenly states "We're not open until 9" It was 9:45, they open at 10 a.m. Why answer the phone only to hang up on customers? Not sure if this guy was stoned or not. Wait until 10:00 go into the store, again, rude and of no help at all. I don't think that JEREMY likes his job very much because he acted like it was a bother for him to help customers. I'm going to share this review on my neighborhood social media page to let everyone in the subdivision know exactly what they can expect from trying to use this store. We have one closer anyway, I'll use that one from now on. Steer clear of the UPS store on Pecan unless you're looking for confrontation. wife was in your store tonight and just had a horrible experience... she struggled to bring in two large boxes by herself and the clerk behind the counter was of zero help. Nobody else in the store, and the clerk refused to help move the packages at all. Keep in mind the clerk was at least 40 years younger than my wife, who also explained to the clerk she has a current blood clot condition. After my wife got them on the counter... the clerk then asked her to carry the boxes from behind the counter, to the rear of the store, then to take them through an employees only area, and load them onto the UPS truck in back, outside. Simply unbelievable. By this time another clerk was there and they both stood and watched my wife struggle to carry these boxes outside and have her a "thumbs up.". WTF?? Been going to this store for many years, and the owner is usually there and very involved and responsive. I am hoping she sees this review and reaches out to me. Below is an email on June 1st from UPS that my package was ready to pick up. I went into the store and gave them the tracking number and they told me it was not in. I called on Thursday June 2, Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4 and was told it was not in. Had to fly out on June 5 and will not return till June 12. I get a notice that my package will be returned on June 8. I am away on business. Why would I purchase a box as suggested when my package show delivery and ready to pick up on June 1st. Update after owner response: Wow! Blatant lie. I was not frustrated with you initially. When I came back in, you never offered to have me pack in there or show you my QR code. I waited in line again and asked if it could be packed there. You advised me to come back Monday if you had a box. You could have placed two boxes together but nothing else was offered. The things owners do to back peddle when they mess up is stunning. Just take responsibility for what you did. It would look better on your part. I even told you my frustration was with Amazon but my review is based on your telling me to wait two days to see if maybe you have a box that will fit. Then no offering while I said I would pay you and Amazon would reimburse me. I offered you money to package it but you didn't even offer you shoved me to the side. But you are always to aggressive with people in your store. Eventually it catches up. And as I stated in your store, my packages arrived from UPS in pieces. That box could not have been put back together. The driver put the item on my porch and next to it a box in pieces. Don't try to mull over what happened with telling me I should keep my boxes. The box had water damage and came to me next to my item in 5 pieces. UPS is at fault for that. Sure not your fault but apparently the company can care as much less as the independently owned stores. Just checked the tracking number they gave me. This was all done on Saturday 12/11. Today is Tuesday 12/14. The box I dropped off from Amazon still hasn't been picked up. Seems they are holding the package there. I called ups and they told me it's scanned when it's picked up. I also gave them the store info and was told they have had multiple pick ups since I dropped my prepaid label item. I'm stunned someone takes these posts on yelp so personal where they effect the business I've done with them. I'm never going to this store and I hope no one else has to deal with this at all. Now I wonder when I'm going to get a refund on something I didn't have fault for because some store owner faulted while I was there and I came to prevent others from having the horrible service I got. While the staff are efficient and courteous the corporation is a different story. Cost can be prohibitive if they package and small packages are not guaranteed to arrive. UPS is still trying to find my small package. But worse of all is filing a claim for a lost package. I recommend placing insurance on small packages more than any value to guard against loss. Just be mindful that with some returns you have to self pack according to the instructions that particular Amazon dictates, so the staff are constrained to those rules. I printed a paper with the scan codes, i handed the two items to the friendly efficient ladies behind the counter and they scanned fhe codes, i was back out in my car in less than 5 minutes. So I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Amazon getting a special UPS label for a return to process through UPS and the nice nice ladies at the desk said oh here's all you have to do as if it was easy. Once I get off the phone with Amazon I go to the nice lady to print the UPS label and she says that to be five dollars. I ask for a sheet of paper to print a label for you guys to get this business? She said yes is the same as using a public computers. To me this is the epiphany of pissing off your customer. Why wouldn't they just print the label and take the business? Now I have to drive all the way back home just to print the label and I would be definitely going to the UPS store near my house the one on Highway 79 and I 35 which is so much better than this location. I came in to ship an item to my associate. The owner/manager made me feel so unconfortable. Her attitude was extremely aggressive and confrontational. She (manager) has no idea how to treat a customer or invite them to come back. I also needed some notary services. However, I will stay clear of this establishmeny and tell all of my friends, coworkers and family to do the same. The young lady that 1st helped me was nice. Because she was new she asked her manager for assistance regarding my request. Then the "Iron Lady" came to show her power, knowledge (lack of) and how to realy make a customer unconfortable.
