I wanted to return an Amazon box, he scanned the barcode and didn't tell me this is at home pick up. I could cancel return and request another in store drop off. So, I went by walking to another UPS in this limited situation and it took a half day of my time. The man who was working here, didn't tell me although he knows that. I wish i could give a negative star. this is the worst service I've EVER had. I brought a custom wedding gift in for packing and shipping. They mixed labels and sent the wrong thing (5 dvds). Then they couldn't get the place they sent it to to respond to their email so they said they would reimburse me for the item (custom so impossible). So I told the bride and ordered another gift for them. Then they called a few days later and said they got the people to respond and now they wanted to ship it back and not send me a check. The offered to refund me the cost for the packing. These people are both incompetent and have zero ability for good customer service. I'll never use them, and offer you a fair warning. read more

Very rude service at this location (I'm assuming this may have been the owner). I needed to drop off returns with a pre-paid label and purchase a large quantity of printed materials for a presentation. I took the boxes into the store and the owner (I'm assuming) literally threw the packages down and said: "this is post office." One of the packages slid onto the floor and I had to pick it up, while he just watched. I clearly didn't purchase the materials needed after this and will never go back to this location. read more

Honestly, I don't know what the other bad reviews because my experience was excellent. It started with my call with a few quick questions answered by, form the sound of his voice, a young man. Once I arrived, I put the voice with the guy wearing the Lakers hat (can't recall his name). I was in-and-out in less then 15 minutes with setting up a mailbox. Just stopped at this UPS , in Hastings Ranch, to return an Amazon package. I had it in a box, I had the return label and stuffing. The owner saw that I needed it taped. He said he charged $1 for the tape. I told him that no other UPS charges me for tape and I left the store. That is not good customer service. I was also going to buy my favorite greeting cards that they carry. I will drive to the UPS in Arcadia on Duarte Road, that I normally go to, instead. read more

I have had great experiences at other UPS Stores. Assumed it would be the same here and couldn't have been more wrong. Extremely rude owner who barely acknowledged my presence (even though I was the only person in the store). This is by far the worst UPS store. According to a sign they have - they will refuse packages that they deem not worthy aka Costco or large chain stores, but that's not my grip with this place. I brought a larger package to ship with a prepaid label and the older Asian man who runs the place was clearly upset that I was dropping off such a large Box and he made me stack it with his other boxes rather than him do it. He did not want to accept it. If you hate your job so much- change it! There are lots of places hiring. Although I suspect he runs the place or even owns it. The man is so very rude and his wife is as well. She looks like she didn't even work here but she was there. I accidentally put the wrong label on a package and the wife came out of no where saying to go get my receipt or she won't help me. I don't mind going to get the receipt not a problem but it's the way you approach someone and the whole time I was there she was just mad dogging me. I have never been more turned off by a business than now. I am horrified to think that in today's economy, the owner of this UPS Store is able to survive with his below average people skills, his lack of interest in conversing with a customer, and his inability to care about his establishment. This was only a drop off of prepaid bags filled to the brim with Nespresso Pods for recycling. I carried in 3 very large bags, obviously awkward to carry and difficult to maneuver.... my fault for not making two trips to the car. I was the only customer in the place, so a hello would have been nice. Instead, he looked put out by my entry, and pointed to the scale. I placed a bag on the scale, he threw it in a bin, and proceeded in the same fashion for the other two packages. He printed up a reciept, handed it to me, and walked to the back. NOT ONE WORD WAS EXCHANGED. I left absolutely astonished. Had I been paying for this transaction, I would have taken my things and found another carrier to do my delivery. I willl never step foot in this UPS again. I am not a negative reviewer, but In this instance, it is warrented. ONE star is far too generous. read more

OMG, the owner is SO RUDE!!!! The other reviewers that call him names, couldn't be more accurate! The first time I went in he told me he could mail DPO, but I should probably just go to the post office, so I did. The 2nd time, he allowed a couple to continue to copy/collate/assemble piles of presentations, while insisting he couldn't possibly wait on anyone until they were done. 20 minutes later they were done. He just kept saying "go to the other UPS store", he insists he has plenty of regular customers and doesn't need anymore business. Each time he'd repeat this he'd start laughing like a hyena. I have a hard time understanding all the negative reviews, but everyone'e entitled to their own opinion I guess. I love this UPS store. The owner, PN, knows both me and my fiance and is always willing to help. I've only been in a few times, and today I forgot my key, but he opened my mailbox and got my packages with no trouble at all. There's only two guys in there, and they're always busy and running around, but they take their time with their customers and are always friendly. It makes a mundane errand of picking up/dropping off mail that much more pleasant. Happy to be a customer! read more

This is the worst UPS store ever!! EVER ever. The owner is rude and has absolutely no idea what he's doing. This store is close to my house so I wanted to try it out to return some AT&T cables (UPS and AT&T have a contract that should make this process easy peasy lemon squeezy). I told him I didn't have my account number and asked if that would be a problem. He said he would try to look me up and asked if I could hold on. He proceeded to help customer after customer after customer (who apparently had easier tasks). I ended up waiting over a half hour (I gave it this long because I thought "surely he has to come back to me now.") When I finally demanded his attention he stared blankly at his monitor for a several minutes and then proceeded to tell me he couldn't help me without an account number. He was so rude and unprofessional! After that I swore I would never come back but it's so close to my house and I had another quickie drop off so I decided to give it another try. My package was mostly wrapped up and ready to go, but I needed one small piece of masking tape to secure one side. He said that he would have to charge me an extra dollar for that tiny piece of tape! No thank you. Its worth it to drive down to the UPS on Colorado. Do not use this store. I have learned my lesson. read more

I have to back up the other negative reviews here. The owner of this store is SUPER rude and is obnoxious even though has no idea what he is doing. He just wasted my lunch hour by clearly not knowing what his job as a notary is and being belligerent about not knowing what his job is by overstepping his bounds. First, because I was asking for notary service, he helped every other customer behind me in the store before "helping" me. Then, he refused to do the service for me after looking at my documents. However, within a mile of this place, I found someone who told me that everything was in order and there should have been no issue, especially since a lawyer prepared the documents carefully. I would assume that if you are standing in front of this place and just need to drop something off for UPS, this place will work but the customer service had me so angry that I left SUPER upset, AND after going to another notary who told me the guy at Foothill UPS was actually wrong. So, in the end, I went about a mile west down Colorado Blvd. and just did my business with another notary who made everything smooth and simple. I would say, avoid this place because of the rude customer service and the dangerous lack of knowledge they have which could derail any reason you went in there in the first place. read more

I've got to be honest. I get why people don't like the owner. He doesn't want to be your pal. He's not super talkative. He doesn't ask how your day is going or much of anything else. That said, our family has been going to this location for years now for shipping, notary, etc., and they are extremely efficient and get us in and out quickly. I would *much* much rather go here than to the local post office where they are indeed faux friendly but move at a glacial pace and keep people waiting in 15-minute lines. In short, if you want super-friendly customer service, go to Nordstrom. If you want to mail a package quickly and with a minimum of fuss, this place is great! Just don't expect anyone to ask how your day is. read more

Horrible customer service. I've an injury to my foot. One employee offered me a chair. Before I could accept and thank him, the assistant manager refused his offer on my behalf. Excuse me? Why on earth would he do that? I was limping and in obvious pain. My reason for coming to this store was that I had to return my cable box (living cable free now, woo!) AT&T said all I had to do was take the box to a UPS store and they would take care of it. She also gave me a reference number to give the guy so that way it would get to AT&T faster. Sounded easy enough. This store happened to be near where I was running errands that day. I figured I would pop in real fast, and then be on my way. That didn't quite happen. The people working there are the owners I assume. I have to say though, just because you own something doesn't mean you should be working there. Their customer service skills seemed to be lacking. The man was very short with me, and it was hard to understand him, which seemed to frustrate him more. When running a business that involves interacting with customers, taking down important information, and shipping things to their correct location it generally helps if you can understand each other. I felt like our language barrier really hampered our ability to interact well. I also found it awkward that the cash registers were so close together. I was almost shoulder to shoulder with the guy who was shipping next to me. We both were trying to give information to the person helping us at the same time. They had a hard enough time understanding us when we weren't talking over each other, but now it had become a shouting match. I feel like service at most UPS stores suck, and that is partly the fault of the people working there, and partly the fault of life. I mean you kind of have to go to the UPS store sometimes, and whether or not the service sucks, you'll keep coming back. read more

I use this UPS store regularly. The service is not what you would call friendly, but they will do the job. I've mailed many packages with them through the years and they have been efficient. Tonight I went in at 5:50 p.m. (they close at 6:30) because I urgently needed to fax Anthem Blue Cross this evening before they closed. I told him I had tried at home but I had difficulty so I came to his store. I was anxious. He tried once, scanned my document through, and it didn't connect. He then told me the machine has auto redial and it would try again. The second time, the fax connected but cut out during the transmission process. After that second time, he handed my papers back to me and refused to try again. There were no other customers in the store (and he could have helped them while I waited, even if there were) and it seemed he just didn't FEEL like letting the fax machine keep trying until it went through. There was still more than a half an hour before closing. I guess he didn't care about the urgency of my request or getting paid for the service. Maybe he wanted to go home....I don't know. I was very disappointed. I don't expect them to be friendly, but I do expect the UPS Store to perform a requested service for a fee during business hours and that certainly didn't happen. Maybe they have so much business they don't need my money. read more

Needed Notary services so I stopped here on my way out of Peet's. There were 2 people in line before me and the owner was handling the store by himself. His staff (Ryan) was on a lunch break. He greeted his regulars and anticipated their needs. He was friendly (congratulated me on my new job- he was verifying employment documents for my new employer). I had to wait a little, but the service was so good, I didn't mind the wait time. I shall be returning. read more

Wow. My experience at this UPS was terrible from beginning to end! The moment I entered, I noticed the rudeness of the staff working. No one said hello to me, the man behind the counter was rude and aggressive. As I left I said goodbye and no one said goodbye or thanked me for coming in! And I KNOW they heard me, because there were only about 4 people in the room. Another customer looked at me in solidarity and agreement that this UPS store is the worst. I've shipped golf clubs from this location on multiple occasions and I will continue to do so. I have not witnessed the owner being short or rude. In polar contrast to some of the reviews left, the owner was very personable and offered useful assistance. He has a business to run so I understand if he comes off as serious and to the point but that is by no means an indication of him being rude. I sparked small talk with him and he (the owner) informed me that he is an engineer (a civil engineer if memory serves me correct). That said, he understands structural integrity and packing items so they are secure and tidy. Additionally, there was a bit of misinformation on shipping rates between us but after he looked further into the matter, he realized I was correct and he honored the correct (and lower costing) option. I've been to other UPS stores in the area that tried to charge me in excess of $70 for a package that should cost around $20 to ship. When I informed the other UPS stores of the correct shipping, they basically told me to pay their price or pound sand. I pounded sand and I'm glad I did. Oh yeah, the other UPS store wanted to charge me $17 for a box. The same box at this UPS store was $6. read more

I purchased a 2x12 Mesa/Boogie cabinet on eBay. The seller took it to this location to have it packed and shipped only 35 miles away. Because of schedules and that I work graveyard, I did not drive to get it. I ended up getting it damaged because it was packed SO poorly. In total, the cabinet weighs 66 pounds. How did they pack it? They only used two, 1-inch thick pieces of styrofoam. THAT'S IT! A file claim was immediately made and after they "supposedly" attempted two times to pick up, they finally came on the third attempt. They took it all the way back to Pasadena to be inspected. The cabinet itself is fine. However, because of the terrible packing, the magnets on the speakers broke off in shipping. The UPS store did not want to ship it back to me and wanted to have the seller pick it up. All I wanted was reimbursement for the speakers which is about 200.00 In total, I paid 400.00 for the cabinet and 50.00 for shipping. So it's obvious I was being kind in asking for 200.00 for speaker replacement and 50.00 shipping refund. He shipped the cabinet back and said he's voiding me making a file claim since he's sending the cabinet back. He then said that he's basically losing money because he's shipping it to me. Um, HELLO?! YOU PACKED A 66 POUND PACKAGE WITH ONLY 2 PIECES OF PROTECTION! I called UPS and they said because it's a UPS store, their hands are clean since UPS stores are privately owned. Basically, UPS can promote their name when people pay to use their name and ultimately UPS can keep out of the business of UPS store. I just called UPS corporate and they told me that since it's a UPS store, I have to take it up with them. They told me it was already denied by UPS because their report says the item was damaged because of poor packing. Yes, they're are denying the claim for their own affiliates lack of packing and now I'm losing out on a couple hundred dollars. read more

I've lived in Pasadena for close to 20 years and this UPS store is closest to me. Throughout the years, I have noticed the owner's rude behavior but have continued being a customer due to convenience of the store proximity to me. However, today he gestured me with a hand to wait outside along with my heavy box. I felt like an animal and not a human being. That did it for me and I'll be done with this store forever.
