Tammeka was so helpful! Thank you for teaching me how to use the self-service station! There was a bit of a line for counter service on Monday (closed Sundays) but this location was fully staffed with at least 3 workers going full speed. Tammeka came around to the front to show me how to work the scanning system at the self-service station, and I was quickly on my way. Clean space, well-stocked with shipping supplies, plenty of parking. And enthusiastic staff! Great location. read more

I go out of my way to visit this UPS Store. There are three other locations closer to my home and gym, but I make a point to come here instead whenever I can. The employees here are so friendly, and kind. It makes such a positive difference in my day to be exposed to them and I only hope that all of their customers are just as kind to them in return. This particular UPS store is located in a good spot, near North and Harlem in Oak Park illinois. However it is a smaller store with only two service stations, which often creates a waiting line for service. After a brief wait in line, they did provide me with excellent packing for my shipment. The price was reasonable considering if you had to purchase all the bubble wrap, box, tape , and your time. Also parking is a little tight around there. You can call ahead for estimated pricing and best suggestions for your shipping needs. Knowing the weight, and dimensions of what you need to be packed for shipping, will help you over the phone. read more

Rumor has it all. It is true. This is the best UPS location in Chicagoland. The moment you step in you feel good, calm energy. I had luck to be served by Tammika and if you are lucky enough you will be served by her college which unfortunately I don't know her name. This is my go to UPS store for any of my mailing needs. Everyone is very friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. They do a great job!

This is absolutely the worse UPS store in the Chicagoland area. The employees here have no regard for decent customer service and are quick to say no to you for anything. I was just dropping off an Amazon return and the barcode on the print out did not scan properly, and the employees were so damn rude and said they couldn't do anything and I had to go somewhere else. I told them that I had the same issue at another ups store, and they were simply able to just type in the tracking number on the print out and take my Amazon return. They rudely told me that UPS is a franchise, and they don't do that here so I had to leave. I understand that it might be owned by different people, making this a franchise organization, but UPS is still on the store front, and they use the same systems. It wasn't like I was asking for tape, in which this location does charge you $1.00 for tape, and they are extremely rude about it. I honestly expect just a fraction of decent, minimal customer service here but never get it here. Whenever I have to come to this location, I always expect the worst. They simply don't like working, and would rather just be on their phones, in an empty store collecting a pay check. If the franchise owner could just watch the cameras once and a while he would see that his employees need some refresher training, or be let go. My advice for everyone who reads this is just to simply go to another location, avoid this place at all cost and forget it even exist. Unless you like to be treated like garbage, save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. read more

Not a good experience at this store #0980 - very condescending attitude by the person who waited on me. I came here for obituaries for my deceased brother. A very difficult time indeed- did not need the patronizing attitude at all. I was told to submit the details of the obituary by a certain date in order to have them ready for the visitation. I emailed the store according to the date given and later received a call asking if I submitted the email Apparently no one checked their emails After the clerk checked again my original email was found - the obituary was sent back for my review - I found a few corrections that needed to be made The very last correction was actually a typo that UPS made When I asked for it to be corrected I was told "this is the last correction" Thanks for making an already difficult time even more frustrating My advice - do not use them for obituaries (I used them because the funeral home recommended them) The obituaries were nice but the experience to get them was not!!! read more

I had to drop off 3 Amazon returns. Preprinted labels. Ready to go. There was a line as the two customers at the window both needed "full service" (they needed help packing multiple boxes, and labeling, etc.) Extra employees came from the back to help move the line (with low maintenance customers like me!) I had brought in two of my packages. They were light. But I also had a monster in the back of my car (c. 30 lbs). Also ready to go, but I had a baby in a stroller. There is no human way to carry an awkwardly sized 30 lb package and push a baby in a stroller. A VERY nice employee accompanied me back to my car, took the package inside AND came back with the "sent receipt" so I could start the baby re-loading process without trailing them inside. Great, considerate service. Don't know how I could have gotten that package inside without them. (I should note that the parking situation is sub-optimal. There is free 10 minute parking in the ally behind the store, but getting in and out is a little challenging.) read more

I always go here for stamps, to send out packages, and they sometimes have a notary here but call first because I don't think that person is always here. Just went here to get some paper Hallowe'en decorations laminated so they would stay nice after taping them up every year. I called ahead, and verified they did it. I had called Minuteman Press because they were closer, but they only do large, commercial stuff I guess. It was just $2.49 here, though i think 11x17 was more. Make sure to call ahead, because it takes some time to warm up the machine (like 5 minutes). Even so, the larger size can leave wrinkles. They didn't charge me for that one, and I wasn't too upset. The second one on the smaller sheet was perfect. Other than that, staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Appreciate the response from the UPS store. We have never asked to be treated differently or served in front of customers. Buying a $3 door stop is also not doing a customer a favor, it's providing service to any customer that could use the convenience of a door opener assist. The issue we see at the store is that one specific staff member requires waiting for a receipt when all packages are prelabeled. The packages are merely being dropped off and can be scanned anytime which never interferes with other customer's service. Giving business to a local store is always our business preference. Being asked to go elsewhere is just an insult and lack of caring for your local customer. I would have hoped that a franchise owner would get the simplicity of our needs and appreciate our loyalty and continued patronage! read more

I called the UPS store the day before my mother-in-law's visitation to have her obituary completed. I knew that I was cutting it close, but they came recommended. I spoke with Mia and she told me to send it over and that she would try her best to get it done by the morning of the visitation, if she could get it done at all. She had a number of order to process that day. About three hours later, on the same day, she called me to tell me that she had the order completed. She didn't want that to be something on my plate for the next day. That is service! I truly appreciate her willingness to assist and provide a great product. I remembered that a friend used the services of this store, for obituary printing. Originally, I went to a UPS store near my house but I did not feel comfortable so I drove to this location. Between grief and inexperience, I was so nervous! Mya and a gentleman (sorry I can't recall his name) were so patient with me. They had a book of examples and patiently helped me pick the right one for my family. There reviews for everyday services aren't high but for obituary printing they are at a five for me! I would definitely recommend this location for their services. I felt comfortable knowing they would help me celebrate and pay homage to my loved one. I pray that I don't need them anytime soon. I hated this place. It made a frustrating situation even worse. I walked in and I knew it was bad. Packages were piled up all over the place. Literally. It was a shoulder-height maze of white and brown boxes to the counter where I was "greeted" by a representative of the Recalcitrant Ghetto Alliance. Prior to entering this UPS Store I was given specific instructions by another company. I had two packages for that company. One was sealed, labeled, and ready to go. The other one was in an opened package and needed a new label attached. The RGA UPS employee told me she would not take the package that was sealed, labeled, and ready to go. She barely glanced at the other one and said that she could not make a new label for that. She said that the company would have to provide me with the label. I was stunned. I walked back to my car where I called the other company. They were also bewildered also. I went back into the UPS Store and asked the RGA employee if I could complete a form for the new label. She gave me a form to fill out. When I finished, she changed some of the boxes I checked, added the price for a shipping box (which wasn't requested or necessary), and totaled the price. She INSISTED that I would have to pay for a box and that she would not be able to tape the existing packaging closed. She did not give me a tracking number; she gave me the carbon copy of the form I completed instead of a receipt. She did not make a label for my package - she tossed it onto a pile where I was concerned that it would be lost. Fortunately, my package did arrive at the company. read more

Do not do businsess with these people. I had a large package that had to be at a golf course in two days. I was told to do 2 day air and pay $250. The package was delivered five days later. The owners won't return my calls. The worker later told me that there are no guarantees. read more
