Went in to send 2 packages today, 8/28/25, just 1 day after the school shooting in Minnesota and the person who waited on me had his UPS tee shirt sleeve pulled up and rubber banded to his collar showing a tattoo of the Grim Reaper holding an automatic rifle, the same kind used in the shooting, and it had a sickle coming out of the barrel! He was definitely showing it off since he had his sleeve other sleeve was down and pulled up all the way and banded to the collar of his tee shirt! How upsetting! I have 2 small elementary school children and when I saw that I felt sick! What kind of person gets a tattoo like that and then makes sure every customer who comes into that store sees it, especially after yesterday's tragic shooting! It's sick! Is he OK with children being shot to death while praying in a church? Not to mention he was smiling the whole time and kept moving so his tattoo was facing me. I couldn't even look at him, I was so distracted by that sickening, deranged tattoo! Maybe UPS should take a better look at who is working at their stores! I will NEVER use the UPS Store located in Harmony Plaza, 4142 Ogletown Stanton Rd, Newark, DE 19713 again! While 2 children are being laid to rest, he's flaunting a Grim Reaper tattoo holding an automatic rifle! He needs mental help! read more

Terrible customer service. Ordered some things from a major retailer that listed this store as an access point. I got a notification at noon that the packages were delivered, and went there after work to pick them up. Guy there tells me the packages were returned to sender as they don't have a contract with the seller. I had no idea what this meant, but when I asked I got treated to a nice little rant about how they don't have space & don't work for free (I did pay for UPS and wrongly thought that meant they could hold the package for me, my mistake). Then he told me to go talk to corporate. No phone numbers, no info on where the packages might be going next, no mention of potentially intercepting them or getting the sender to intercept. Nothing. Just a sharp rant before walking away. Keep in mind the tracking at this point still said "delivered," not "returned to sender" or anything like that, so I'd had no idea that they'd refused delivery for half a day. I know it wasn't me because I think I said about 9 words and they were "why would they list you as an access point." Which, honestly, I was mostly asking myself as I didn't think the random guy would have an answer to that. But he answered it anyway, and while I can take being told I should've known better (I'm still a little confused, but I can take it), what I take issue with is the lack of any sort of assistance with contact numbers, tracking, or even just general information on how the process might work. Guy literally just yelled about it and left. The guys at the UPS customer center on Ruthar were way more helpful. By the time I got to them (the UPS Store support number was also terribly unhelpful & slow, but told me to talk to the customer center), the packages were on a train going back to the seller. But these guys gave me actual information on destination, timelines, and even guidance on how to get things held at their depot if I needed it (I don't, but it was nice of them to offer up the info). They're different from UPS stores, which I think are franchises, and it shows. I wish the retailer had given an option to deliver there instead of the store, & I've asked the retailer to look at updating their information if they can. Don't use this store if you can help it, they're probably fine if you have no issues or are just printing or whatever, but I can't recommend their customer experience for anything beyond that. The customer center on Ruthar isn't far away, I would say check them out instead and see if they offer what you need. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! THEY USE UNETHICAL PRACTICES WHEN SHIPPING. They frauded me by changing a service without my knowledge so they could charge me SIGNIFICANTLY more money. I arrived with a pre-paid shipping label, but they insisted they could print another with no change. I believed them because I was not the one who paid for the pre-paid label. They created a new shipping label for me that cost $800 more than the original service I wanted. DO NOT COME HERE, THEY WILL SCAM YOU! If I could give this place negative stars I would. Box He ask what I needed I advise just something small because I need to have alimony checks sent welp the mail box was 25.00 and 10.00 for key no problem right chase said you have to purchase 6 or 12 months I'm like wow ok give me 6 months $160 later I goto court an find they will do it electronically so no need for P.O. Box called back the store talk to chase explained I don't need pobox he states no refund. The guys working there today really worked hard to make all customers happy- they were in 5 places at once, zipping back and forth doing multitasking like never seen before! Friendly and pleasant while doing it, too, wow!! Best UPS service I have ever received. Terrible! Drove 20 mins to get there 10 mins before closing. The guy there who smelled of strong weed shut the door in our face and smiled as he claimed they were closed. Apparently management has changed at this UPS Store because I have had a box at this location for quite a few years and up until recently, have had great service. However, 2 things recently happened and although I have no issue with anyone making mistakes, as long as they own up to it and apologize for inconvenience, I do have an issue with staff being rude to me after they made a mistake. I particularly have an issue when they try to place the blame on me! The 1st issue happened about a month ago. Initially I was not going to post any review. What happened 2 weeks ago and the rudeness of the staff has changed my mind. About a month ago, I ordered 4 items to be delivered to the UPS Store where I have a box. The UPS Store employee checked the label of each box (or at least I thought he did). However, when I got home, I noticed that one of the boxes had someone else's name on it and his box number was totally different from my own box number. I returned that box and pointed out that the man's box number was different from my own box number even though the UPS Store label showed my box number. The employee said: "So? I made a mistake. It happens." I was mildly miffed at his response considering I pay for a service. I have no problem with the mistake. I do have a problem with his response. What caused me to write this review is what happened 2 weeks ago. I had ordered 6 items from Amazon and I had received 2 text messages from Amazon showing that everything had been delivered that morning in 2 packages. When I got to the UPS Store, only 1 box was there. I showed the employees the tracking text that showed both boxes had been delivered that morning. One text said 1 package was delivered: "to the front desk" and the other was signed for by (UPS Employee's name). A woman at the front desk told me that they don't sign for packages in the front. I told her I was only reading what the text I received said. I also asked if they had an employee by the name on the 2nd tracking confirmation and they said there was. Clearly my waiting for the missing box bothered the employees. The woman finally asked very curtly if I was sure I had the box delivered to the correct address? I told her I placed the order for all 6 items in ONE order, which were to be delivered to my box at this UPS Store. After they looked for about 15 minutes, I asked if they would follow up and let me know what they found out and they assured me that they would do that. I called the UPS Store at 10:40am the next morning and was told they did not have time to check on it yet and I was told that I should call UPS and/or Amazon myself! I called UPS and I was told they have no way to track that and suggested that I call Amazon. Amazon was wonderful and has re-shipped 4 of the 5 missing items; however, they were unable to replace the 5th item and they said they would issue a credit. They also asked if the missing items showed up, please either refuse the box or call Amazon for a return shipping label. After 2 weeks and the missing box never showing up, I can't help but wonder if they gave my missing box to a different customer just as they had given me someone else's package about a month ago. read more

I have had fairly good experience with ups but this store was the worst ever. Who the heck charges the customer to put tape on the box. With a extra large box and speciality packing, I can understand. But with a small box that just had to be dropped off, it's nickel and diming. I would suggest going to the main street store. They are much better with good customer service. read more

Jacob was so helpful. He was patient and courteous. I came at a busy time and things were moving smoothly in the store. I also noticed he had a friendly disposition as he helped other folks when they came in. Being courteous goes so far. I wish other merchants would slow down and take the time to be courteous. Don't ever use this location to ship anything anywhere!!! 58 hours to Overnight my package to Kansas City!! I could have driven there, driven back, and driven there again!!! If you're sending anything valuable I would strongly recommend a different carrier. In May I went to the UPS store to ship an old and valuable Peony Jardiniere to California. I naturally bought the insurance for such a valuable piece of pottery. UPS damaged the Jardiniere (They do not dispute this fact) and the insurance provider Crawford Insurance refuses to address the claim. I have repeatedly went to the store to inquire of the status of my claim and have been given several different excuses. On Tuesday July 9th I received a call from the UPS store stating they had been in contact with Crawford Ins. and the "check was in the mail" and it would be at the UPS store within 5-7 business days. Well guess what? Still no check! I went there again today and once again I got another excuse. I'm beyond frustrated. Come to find out I'm not the only person experiencing dissatisfaction with Crawford Ins. at the UPS store. If you're sending anything of value I would strongly suggest another option because the insurance the UPS store offers isn't worth anything. At this time I've lost a valuable Jardiniere plus the $142.20 to ship/insurance. read more

I had a box that needed approx. 8 inches of packing tape in order to be ready for shipment. The boy behind the counter said he could do it for me for a dollar or I could buy a roll for $2.99. Seriously, a small piece of packing tape? Where's the customer service? I guy came in behind me who bought a box to ship something in. The employee taped the box for him, very over zealously I might add, using much more tape then what was necessary, simply to get my attention. I brought this to the employee's attention his very smart ass response....because he bought the box.. 'have a good day'. What a litte jacka$$. The staff seemed friendly when I went in to open a PO Box. I decided to abort the transaction when the manager (franchisee?) Explained to me that his liability on packages received is only $100, which they strictly adhere to, because packages go missing there "all the time." No thanks. read more

I had a terrible experience with this store. I went in to overnight mail my husband his CPAP machine and the employee accidentally forgot to send the cord to plug it in (I had brought it all in in a bag together). When I called to let them know the employees were very nice but said I had to speak to the manager and offered to mail the cord, it was Saturday and said the cord wouldn't arrive until Monday, by than my husband would be heading home. When I spoke to the manager about a refund he kept telling me he couldn't that the box arrived and I had to call corporate I was given 3 different numbers to call and in the end I was told it was entirely the stores fault, my package was NOT entirely delivered and should be reimbursed for the $124.00. Called the store back and they said they are trying to get the employee to reimburse me, what kind of business is this??? read more

The owner of the shopping center doesn't allow cars to park in front of the store to drop off parcels. So if you have heavy parcels, you have to park and carry them to the door or use a cart. It's a bad choice of location on the part of the store owner and the shopping center owner. read more

Worst experience ever! I've been driven out of the store without processing my amazon returns and I have to drive around to find another UPS store. I am glad the nice folk at the Newark Main street took good care of my returns. And the store manager respond to my complaint nastily. And accuse me of been rude that's why I was droved out of the store without service, indeed I was inquiry about a product they don't have in store. He said he was the store manager. I am not suppose to tell him what to do. I have to change my attitude to receive good customers service. Therefore I was driven out of the store without processing my amazon returns. The other customers at the scene came talking with me afterward and agree with how non-sense this was. I lived in this country for over 20 years and never experienced this. I have read the reviews and was a bit leary about going to this location...BUT...I went in this past Saturday (9/10) to mail some mail off and ask a printing question. The 2 ladies that were there were super nice and helpful...the tall brunette told me they could try and print what I was asking for and that they are open til 5 on saturdays and as late as 7 thru the week...which was very helpful. I have went to several printing spots to get my prepurchased labels printed and aligned correctly with no luck and wasted money on trying. I went back again today (9/12) to the UPS store when I got off work and a young gentleman was working...he was awesome. He helped show me what to do to try and get the labels to print...loaded my paper several times and I was successful in the alignment of the stickers. Super satisfied with the customer service both times I've been here. Great job and thanks for the help. read more

My story is similar to others listed. I brought in an iPhone to be packaged and mailed, and it was never seen again! It was never logged in. To compound the situation the wrong recipient address and value of the phone were recorded so that I was stiffed about $200 on the loss of the phone. What a racket!!
