I'm in here once, sometimes twice a day due to being a vintage reseller. It's close to my home and has better parking than the UPS center in East Petersburg. They do have some lazy staff that either won't get off their seat, or barely greet you or mumble unaudiably when you try to talk to them. However I will say that in recent weeks either management or the owners have been present as I see new staff there and the lazy ones seemed to have gotten a second wind. The place gets busy, and often there is a line. Sometimes you'll see staff in the back just playing on their phone while the front could obviously use some assistance. If you're not going to be helpful when the line goes to the door at least play on your phone out of sight of the customers! I haven't had any problems, other than the long wait time but on occasion have witnessed them tossing my packages around carelessly but I guess that's normal practice. Aside from shipping they offer shreading, have a limited supply of (overpriced) office supplies, sell cards, and have an oversize printer and offer copier service. And there's a USPS mailbox out front. read more

When I need to use a fax machine - I come here. The staff, well, they try. I don't have much use to ship things, but if I did the US store would have all I need. Its clean, has last minute oops office supplies, and the only public fax machine in the area. What else can you say about a UPS store? read more

Unbelievably bad service. Left on hold for 10 minutes, had to call back and received no apology, no explanation, and no concern over the long wait. NO EFFORT to hold onto my business. Another occasion they responded via email that a service I scheduled on-line through their website was unavailable that day, and did not recommend when it would be available. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere. These people make no effort to help, apologize, nor do a good job. They act like they live of the UPS dole, a company this big can absorb the cost of their bad service. read more

so i wrote a review on 10/24/2023 about how obnoxious the old women are in this store. specifically what happened on this visit was the hateful nasty no it all would not do my return in the box amazon shipped it in. it was a two item order and both items were being returned. she refused to send the order back the way i received it from amazon and scanned the items seperately and sent them back separate even though i brought them to the store in the original box amazon shipped them in. what resulted is i just got an email from amazon stating they are recharging me for one of the two items. so because the miserable person who thought she knew it all would not listen and did it her way i'm now out the item plus the $56.00 it cost. lets see if the store owner will take responsibility and pay the amount of the recharge. i wont hold my breath as they are aware of their employees miserable, nasty, hateful attitudes just read the reviews here and you have your proof. read more

I used this store to ship two textbooks. The shipping process is something I haven't experienced before and figured that two textbooks could go in the same box since they came in the same box, right? I learned this is not the case, which is fine. But, instead of being kind and explaining why this is not the case, I was belittled and talked down to. I did not complain and remained courteous but the man at the register maintained terrible customer service, even setting my change sprawled out on the counter even though I held out my hand for it. Small micro-aggressions in that manner were prevalent throughout the exchange. Avoid this store at ALL COSTS. read more

Avoid this location! I was planning on opening a mailbox here for my business. As required by the store, I spent money to notarize the completed forms and emailed them along with my two pieces of ID (which the store said was acceptable.) I got an email from the store owner demanding a reason for my application since I didn't appear to live or work in Mount Joy, based on my address. I provided an explanation and offered references from other UPS Stores, but that wasn't good enough. Don't waste your time here. I had a bad experience with this store around Christmas time. I had bought a collector bike on eBay and subsequently I needed it shipped to CA. The shipper was a reputable bike shop in Elizabethtown who handled the packing and shipping from this store. When you have something shipped, beware of making sure that it is highly documented with photos on its packing. Mine was properly protected with bubble wrap and cardboard to protect from a side collision. The bike owner made sure to document the packing with photos to show the substantial packing that he'd done to have the bike make it's journey across the country. I received the package and noticed that the box was damaged with a large whole and the bike delivered that way to me. Be careful! UPS and the UPS Store will accept your payment for "declared value" but will not pay on your claim. The store and it's employees had me play a game of not wanting to be responsible for the damage and subsequently kept me calling for months to their damage group and the damage group had me calling the shipping store in Mount Joy. This went on from late Dec., 2019 until Arch 3, 2020. So, my advice is either have them pack your package or don't pay the extra for their "declared value" costs. I feel they'll take your money but will not pay for your item's damages because they did not pack it. I found the employees will be coy and not provide with true answers. They simply pass the buck. read more

I recently shipped my daughter's beloved cello from this location across country to Portland, OR where she lives. I paid almost $300 to ship it, and I insured it for $1,000. When the instrument arrived, the box appeared undamaged, but when she opened the case, there was a crack in her cello. She had it evaluated at a repair shop, and the estimate came in @ $4,000. A claim was filed, but it was "denied." The owner, Shane Wert, refused to resolve this fairly. When I called corporate UPS, they said it was HIS responsibility, and that this is the reason that he carries liability insurance. Buyer beware! DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING OF VALUE from this store! I am so sorry that I did not ship from my usual UPS stores in York and Centerville, where the staff is courteous, professional, and honest, and the customer is treated fairly. read more

I have been to this ups store twice and both times I found the girls in here to be rude. Not friendly at all. I asked to make sure that they put tape on the package because I have received packages that were opened in the past and I just wanted to make sure my packages were double closed. The girl told me that there is no need to do that it is closed. I just thought if I asked her nicely that maybe she could have said it differently. She never cracked a smile. I love my local UPS store in Mount Joy. The staff is always helpful and courteous. I have been using the store for years and have never had a problem. They have fast turn around time on the projects I have had them do for me both personally and professionally.
