Never had an issue here with returns until this morning. Got a full on lecture by the lazy employee because I handed him the return instead of putting it on the scale, which, I've never been instructed to do in my life. Usually they want to scan the QR code first. I get repetitive movements every day can take their toll but I don't work there and shouldn't have been made to feel bad because he had to take the return from me and then put it on the scale himself. read more

I went in there exactly on Thursday around 3:30/4pm on July 2nd. I went in there to drop off a handful small, pink packages and half of them are missing and damaged. I watched him scan every single one of them and half of my customers complained to me that their package is still at the facility or cannot be found. How did that happen? No f-ing idea. And I'm not talking damaged as in bent or broken. I'm talking about damaged as in BURNED. There was only one employee there. Middle aged man with tattoos and white/grey hair working behind the desk and there was two drivers in that day. I know there was two because they went back to the facility and picked up more packages to deliver. When he saw I had a handful of them, he looked visibly annoyed because he had to scan all of them one by one and even looked back at one of the the drivers who was sitting down with a petty smile on his face. I can't express how utterly annoyed and disappointed I am bc it's caused me $100+ to pay back and lose. It gets me so f-ing mad that I know I'm not going to get anything out of it but wack ass apologies or send me to contact someone through email when that's already been done. (I heard nothing back by the way which isn't surprising to me). This is so ridiculous. You have an easy job that these people are so miserable at. It's pathetic. DO NOT COME HERE. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PACKAGES. Especially if it's fragile. Customer service was ugly and the vibe in there is not it. The moment I walked out of there, I knew something was wrong as in I knew I should've never step foot in there. Mind you, I'm not from the area. I stopped by on my way to Arizona that weekend. Wished I waited or checked the reviews because apparently people are complaining about the same man. It's stupid he's still working at that store. Used to be one of my favorite UPS stores. They were always so friendly and fast. Now they're charging $1 for a piece of tape. Literally. I came with envelopes, all ready to go, and the tape I used was loose so he said it would be $1 to secure it better. That's just poor customer service. read more

Would give a one star review if I got. The older gentleman who works the shift on Christmas Eve is very rude. Never have I been charged to put a couple pieces of tape on a package. He saw me carrying a very heavy package and struggling with the door and just pretended like he didn't see me while he was on his phone I'm here trying to open the door with no hands available. Do not go here and drop off packages. Is right by me but I think I'll drive further now. Too many packages have been returned to me and now I have one still pending refund was never scanned by the associate and didn't even realized until now. This really sucks I didn't pay attention and it still shows pending when I dropped this off 2 weeks ago! Super busy with life and now I have to worry about this package were abouts. One was returned. This is the second time I've mailed a package from this location. The staff are rude and doesn't take the time to protect my items being shipped. I had to ask for bubble wrap for the ceramic bowl. She knew it was ceramic, but was not going to put any cushion around it. She said they don't offer it unless the customer asks. Makes no sense. I will not return. I was returning an Amazon package I got 2 items in the same package but had to create a label for each return. As I got the first one printed and I was emailed the second one to the store, clerk 19869 grabbed the bag and put it in a box by the time I looked up I realized what had happened and she said they have to be in separate packages because they are separate labels. I told her I got them both in the same bag and she said I can't do that and I have to buy a bag to ship the other, aside having to pay to print the fucking label already. There was no clear communication prior to that about that. I have brought stuff to return here before and had multiple items shipped back in the same bag. Don't bring your Amazon returns if you have multiple that came in one bag cuz they will charge you for the extra shipping bag. Not cool UPS. read more

So it's not just me. The heavyset older blonde woman is rude, disagree and wholly unpleasant. After being treated rudely by her last week again for the umpteenth time (All I wanted to do was to send a package and she kept sighing loudly like I'd ruined her day by bringing my business to her location) I've sworn off this Montclair location and will take my business elsewhere. It's a miracle she still has a job. Then again, reading all these posts complaining about her, I see that someone from corporate replies to said complaints on here and apologizes for her behavior but it appears nothing is done about her. So how sorry can corporate be if they keep apologizing for her nasty attitude but she's still working there year after year? Save your empty apology, corporate. Back to back disappointment with this place. On return items, I packaged a return; we were forced to open the package because he needed to know what was inside the package, even though we handed him a list of the items with the return QR code. So...now he's looking through my return of ladies intimate wear. Next package, I don't package and before anything is said, he tells me, "this needs to be packaged." SO what is it...package or no package? He states I've been working here for..." I've always gone here to return items and have never been given excuses. Until lately, and since this new guy. At the very least, approach the situation with an invitating tone and not with a roll of the eyes and argumentative disposition. This guy...probably in his 40s, grey hair...doesn't seem to like his job. Appears annoyed with everyone. Good customer service is extinct. Too bad. It's this type of customer service that drives customers away. Give back to the community...bring back good customer service. Yesterday me and my fiancée went to drop off an Amazon return, a one with a QR code, (no box or label needed , bring it to UPS store they will pack and send back to Amazon option return). The Tall Blond Old lady who was not wearing a name tag told us that we need to repack it if not Amazon is not gonna process the refund. Which was very strange. Just think about it logically, Amazon is a large company and many people shop with them because of the convenience of shopping and returns. She told us that it's a new policy Amazon implemented about a month ago because returns go back to vendors who sell to Amazon, which makes no F***ing sense because our item is sold and ship by Amazon. Minuit she said that I knew she's lying her ass off because few days ago I returned another package at same store, only difference was someone else was working at that time. This lady tried to sell us a big box to put our package in, it didn't work, she suggested wrapping papers and tape to wrap our big box, also in the end she suggested black plastic wrap. (Strange right) they sell all these things at the store , how convenient. Here's the point, they wanna scam us to sell their useless stuff. I've seen the other reviews talking about an older blonde lady. They were right! This is not my usual UPS store it's just more convenient to go here because of my job. Today 10/4/2024, I went to drop off an Amazon return package. The moment I walked in there she didn't want to serve me. Before greeting me she immediately asked if I even knew how to return a package and if I was sure I was looking at the code correctly. She told me I had to self pack the box I already had or she wouldn't take it. She also stated that it was my responsibility to have a shipping label (although amazon QR code don't require one). I then told her I have never had this issue at any UPS store and she continued to say she wouldn't help me and that the other stores are not doing they're job correctly. she was extremely rude and had a nasty attitude from the jump. she deserves to be fired. read more

I showed up on time and the rude women behind the counter informed that my appointment had been canceled. She also informed me very rudely that she had called me in the morning to inform me. FEBRUARY 17 2024 I visited montclair UPS store location store # 7366. Employee acted knowledgeable but I later found out she misinformed us. She told me 2 stamps were suffice to mail out letters to Camarillo ca. I asked twice and she reassured me that I only needed 2...long story short letter was returned to me yesturday. Why should I have to pay for The EXTRA postage when clearly the employee made this mistake. When I contacted the manager Kim. He was extremely rude and argumentative right from the start. He had no idea what happened at the store but cared nothing about what I had to say as I'm trying to explain to him what happened. Instead he asked me to drive to chino hills location to give him a better explanation. I was already inconvenienced once, why do I have to drive to another ups store to explain to him....he was being extremely complicated. Why not give the employee a approval to have ups pay for the extra postage and send my letter out as originally planned when I visited the store. ?? He wasn't searching for solutions just trying to find a way to evade me....I've worked In retail for over 15 years including security where my primary focus is our customers. Without us, you do not have a successful buisness. If I was the CEO or manager I wouldn't want these people running my buisness. They lack knowledge of the products they are selling , they are unprofessional and they do not look for solutions instead they want to argue. The lady that works there is absolutely horrible. Our office staff have gone in 3 times for printing and mailing and she's completely rude and today had the nerve to roll her eyes and start talking about a customer to another customer and when I turned back to look at her she rolled her eyes at me. How old are we? The store was completely dead so she was not busy with work. I tried calling back to ask her name and they have one number that she did not pick up and another number that calls an insurance company.
