Store 4755: Excellent customer service as always! I had to get legal documents notarized, copied, and mailed, and the team was very helpful! Stephanie Gannon was the Notary, and she was great! Made it as smooth and efficient as possible! read more

I frequent this UPS Store daily to send my daily packages. I've read the awful reviews but never had an incident until today. I have to send out two packages of documents. I needed 2 UPS express envelopes. These have no value, don't cost anything. Nope. They won't give them to me. Okay, I understand management is miserable. I started to exit. At this point one of the greasy haired employees yells for me to never come back. Excellent customer service guys. Your moms would be proud. Don't forget there is a mailing center on Broad Street as well. And they actually value their customers. And keep in mind they get paid by the Amazon return... return your packages elsewhere! Don't reward their bad behavior. Update: The response to my review is very interesting considering the owner witnessed the entire exchange. Gotta love the canned response to every negative review... read more

Always excellent service here! The employees work hard to help customers, and they do so very efficiently. When there is a long line, it's not usually a long wait to go with it. read more

I ordered a stamp that was to be completed at noon. I arrived at 1pm it wasn't ready. I asked for my money back. I chose to get it elsewhere. No problem, The heavy set cashier was processing my return and told me even though they didn't do their job they were going to charge me a $10 return fee, I did yell . But that was because the heavy set cashier was keeping my paperwork and trying to steal monies from me for work that he didn't complete. I had to threaten to call the police to get my paperwork back and will dispute this charge with my credit card company. Stay away. I wish we could give zero stars. read more

I have never had an issue with ups here in middletown. I do believe they are overpriced on some things amd at times have long lines, but what business doesn't. I think they make it easy and have some employees thay ar nice to the customers read more

These guys are horrible. WARNING: do not use them. They held my package they were supposed to forward for weeks. No communication. Just received excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't shipped. Had to pay overnight shipping because they delayed it so long. Then wasn't delivered the next day after paying for next day service. They told me they were going to give a refund and never did. There is a reason they have low review score. I wish I paid attention to it before I used them. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Sorriest excuse for human beings that ever existed. I've sht t***ds that had more brains. I had a package set for pickup from this location. I go tog eat it, the guy scans it then tells me it is set to be returned and would not give me the package. I told them It was them that did the return and they would not take accountability. I showed them the update on the phone. The sorry pr**k manager was s**king too much c**k to be helpful. read more

Beware of Thomas Lushbaugh at store 4755. He is not customer focused nor does he provide good customer service. I am new to the area and this is the worst experience I've ever had at any store. There are other UPS stores in the area and I urge to use their services unless you are looking for a rude, entitled, disrespectful man to decide whether or not he will assist you. There is a reason the store he owns currently has a 2.4 rating on google and 1.9 rating on yelp. If I could give this store 0 stars I would. read more

This store is being used as mailing address for a Medicare scam using a Delaware company called PointRidge Tech and an auto-insurance Scam cynically called auto.veteransinsurance.com - I called the store to let them know they were being used by a customer for illegal purposes, who was sending out illegal phishing emails the owner said (to summarize) he didn't know and didn't care what his "customers" do. He said that if it bothered me I should hire a Lawyer to sue . I asked if he'd say the same if someone was running a drug operation through his store; "yes - I can't control what my customers do" He said. I said as an independent store he could choose who to do business with. He said he was ending the call and hung up. he never asked the name of the scam company, or details of the scam. his lack of questions or concerns and wierd "get a lawyer and sue" comment (twice) leads me to believe that either HE is using his store as a front to run the scams himself, or he supports the use of his store for fraudulent activities, because he is making money from them. it would explain why a shipping store has such terrible reviews: perhaps he doesn't really need normal customers because that is not the real business model? Owning a mailbox store would certainly be the Perfect front Just askin' ! (Qualifymedicaid.com also has the following details hidden in its legal small print at: admin@qualifymedicare.com : 1968 S. The UPS Store - Phishing site linked from scam email, mailing address at this store. - Shipping Centers Near Me - Middletown, Delaware

What a great store. If you come prepared they are extremely fast. Even if your not prepared they will walk you through your situation. Remember they can only do what's allowed with all the shipping companies they deal with. The only reason they didn't get a five is because no bodies perfect but they are a 4.9999. read more

I dont understand the negative reviews. I have never had an issue with any of the employees. Granted I am usually prepared with labels and boxes sealed. read more

Everyone I've encountered in this store has been friendly, helpful and fast. I frequently have Amazon returns and they help me get connected to the WiFi so I can pull up my QR code since the WiFi in the store isn't great. That would be my only critique is that they should offer better WiFi for customers. I hope more people experience the service I've experienced. read more

My experience has been 50/50 but had been positive for a short time. I continued to go due to convenience of services & location. Today I got rude Thomas A Lushbaugh. I am a local resident/biz owner & im in there for packing, printing, & my Amazon return needs several times per month over the last 5 years. I was asking for a sample for a large print order I will need in the future. They did not have the paper size or thickness I wanted, but I was open to trying what they had in stock. After he prepared one sample for me, I told him I wanted to wait before printing the 3 sets of twenty samples I needed for my business that would lead to larger print jobs of 1000s of copies in the future. However, after I said "I'm going to wait he took the copy from me abruptly, walked away mumbling something, threw his head back & balled the paper up as I stood there watching & threw it in the trash. Sir, I will be taking my business elsewhere because you do not treat customers like that. Especially not repeat customers who are local business owners. Do better please. read more

Service was terrible. They wanted to charge my friend for tape. Then they said they wouldn't accept a debit card for payment. The next step may be to contact corporate, as judging by the other reviews, this UPS is facing severe staffing and personnel issues. The BBB may also be notified. We are weighing options to ensure that the strange, rude, and inadequate behavior of staff is dealt with on some level. read more

I remember working with a helpful manager in the past but had a horrible experience with the new manager. Extremely rude and not helpful.

I too would give zero stars if possible. staff were abrupt, not friendly, and acted like I was crazy for being shocked by a $5 charge for a single copy. I will never do business here again. read more

I went in with a open box and thought it was supposed to be packed by them but they kindly explained to me that my Amazon code had "Customer packed" under the QR code which when I reread the instructions it said that I had to pack it myself. Who charges $5.50 to print a page? Seriously get with the times or new technology. FedEx has a way to email a label, most printers are wifi capable or get a scanner that can read the QR code. ***UPDATE*** This place still sucks. In fact, I have flagged a UPS driver down twice now and handed my packages to him. Additionally, I have traveled to the UPS facility on Ruthar Drive in Newark just to place my package in their pick up box. It was a lovely drive where I had some time to contemplate life, enjoy a playlist I created for the event, and ponder how much I would sell a piece of tape for if I was a bloodsucking putz. Original review below: I wish I could give this business ZERO stars. Every time I have needed the services of UPS I have unfortunately had to use this store due to proximity. Moving forward, I would rather drive to the Philadelphia airport to place my packages directly on the UPS plane myself. Whoever the man is that works in this store (not sure if he is the owner or not) has the worst personality and customer service skills of anyone I have ever come into contact with. This man wanted to charge me for tape!! Yes. You read that correctly. Tape. It actually would have cost more for me to have him tape my box closed than to ship the item. He is rude, condescending, and does not care if you are unhappy. He really should find another line of work. Here are some jobs I would recommend to this grumpy bitter man: 1. Document shredder 2. Meter reader 3. Sewer grate inspector 4. Paperweight 5. Ball point pen inspector Seriously, if you need to go to a UPS store to transact business, just go somewhere else. This place should be closed down immediately and reopened as a fed read more

When will we be able to give negative stars!!!! Just went to UPS store on E Main, returned 7 packages to Amazon, the lady was very helpful and kind at first! At the end of the transaction I asked what I was paying for and how much things were she immediately got short huffy and very annoyed with me, she stormed over to the packing and said they were actually .55 I gave you them for .5 cheaper which I only bought 3 of them and she charged me for 5. I told her I don't need you to get huffy I was just asking what I was paying for. She immediately said I was very patient with you, well yes you were until you weren't lady! I had to pay because some items required shipping packages that i did not have & they printed 3 return labels for me. I also was not given the option for these items to return to kohls, trust me I wish I could have! Called the store to get the name of the lady and her "husband" got on the phone and berated me, mind you I didn't have any interaction whatsoever with him and then told me to not come back to the store. Then, I called back to get his name and they didn't answer called again and she answered (the lady that took care of me) I asked what his name was she told me, it's her husband. So then I explained to her I'm a paying customer and I am allowed to ask what I'm paying for without being showed an itemized list before paying. She said I discounted a lot for you, I didn't ask that, I asked what I was paying for! I kindly said have a good day and hung up, andddd the husband calls me back and continues to yell at me! Harassment much! I will NEVER step foot in that UPS store again! Terribly owned and managed by two hotheaded people. read more

Dishonest salesmanship!!!! I went in for a color copy and a laminated print. The sales guy quoted me one price but charged me another saying the extra charge was for computer use that he used to print my items. I would avoid going here. They are not very accommodating. They seem to be fully staffed but there is always a long wait. They charger the maximum notary fee for the state which is $5. I had a fax sent the location and I was charged for the cover page even though I told them I didn't need it. There is only one young girl who is pleasant. I feel like if you work in the customer service field you should like dealing with people. I try to avoid going here. read more

PLEASE do NOT patronize this establishment! Giving them business is only propagating a serious problem and contributing to a toxic business being able to remain open in your community. The customer service is terrible, the manager Tom is rude beyond words, condescending, and misogynistic, and the store is not following UPS policy. Apparently they feel that they are able to apply policies however they wish to and go against official UPS policies because they are a franchise and "can make their own rules". They also blatantly disregard public safety, as the manager would not release a package to a person I had designated in Delaware and wanted me to travel to the store to pick up the package from out of state (which was against travel restrictions) when I was under quarantine for COVID. As far as releasing packages to those other than the addressee, Tom is completely incorrect in his application of the policy and erroneously withholds packages. The email I received from UPS about my package stated : "Note: An officially recognized form of ID will be required when retrieving your package. If you are picking up the package and are not the addressee, you will also be required to provide the tracking number." I complied with these guidelines and they were verified by phone by UPS Customer Service that this was all that was needed. When my package would not be released even though I was 100% compliant, I again contacted UPS Customer Service and told the manager was incorrect but was probably "following his own rules". The representative said I could call the store and offer to show my drivers license or write a letter to officially release permission BUT..... when I called the store, the manager Tom was so rude to me I could not believe it! I have worked in customer service for many years and the way I was treated by Tom would absolutely not be tolerated. The icing on the cake was when he kept yelling at me and finished with "I don't have time to listen to your whiny problems lady!" and hung up on me!!! I immediately called UPS Customer Service and filed a complaint. Then after reading all of the terrible and upsetting reviews online (as well as the manager's and owner's snarky and condescending replies to the reviews), I called Customer Service again and directed them to the Yelp and Google reviews and another complaint was filed and escalated to top priority. They assured me an investigation will be completed. I truly hope so. This store should not be allowed to be operated by Tom and whatever other owners/managers are treating customers so extremely disrespectfully. In the meantime, I have been using FedEx and they have been wonderful. I use other UPS pick-up points other than UPS stores if I am forced to use UPS. I would encourage others to do the same. I would also encourage anyone who has had a negative interaction with this store to file a complaint with UPS Customer Service via their phone line immediately. I am sure I will get a sarcastic, rude, and condescending response below from the owner that twists the truth. So I will just grab some popcorn and wait to get a good laugh. read more

Rude. Prejudice against people of color. Lacks customer service skills - overheard the clerk talking about me as I was leaving and I when I asked to speak with owner as I was appalled by her behavior, he informed me he was the owner and gave me a disingenuous apology. Then when I actually did become irate, he asked me to leave. I also witnessed the owner, Tom, being rude to another woman and a Latino woman whom he informed that he could not help her twice before finally stating the reason why he could not help her. Though the location is convenient, I would rather drive more distance than to provide this business with my money. I have worked in retail for over 15 years and I have never experienced anything like this. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could!! I went in to print 3 pages of simple text on normal size paper. They tell me I HAVE to use their computer and there is a $5.00 fee to use it. I have used the UPS store to print at other locations and have never heard of this asinine policy. It's their way of trying to make more money off of simple printing. I would never recommend this location and has soiled me for using any other location in the future. Go to the library, they only charge $.15 per page and you can send it to their printer from anywhere ie phone, tablet, your home computer as it SHOULD be at the UPS store. What a bunch of thieves!! read more

This place is a rip off. They are jerks trying to squeeze money out of people over the smallest things. I had the tape come undone on one side of my package and he scans and prints the label then tells me I need to purchase a $5 roll of packing tape . I said I'm not doing that again because I've purchased 3 rolls in the past unnecessarily. This is heavy and it came undone on one side on the way here. They then tell me I can't take it with me because the label is already printed so I got charged $2 to have the secure one end with a piece of tape. That's horrible customer service. read more

I went in to mail a 5 x 7 manila envelope with a few items inside of it instead of weighing it to estimate postage, they now are use a tape measure and it cost me $7.03 to mail a 5 x 7 manila envelope that probably was equivalent to the weight of two wedding invitations. This is the second time this happened and I thought maybe the first time was a mistake, but no big deal I was home already. I can guarantee there won't be a third time because I'll not go back there again. They are price gouging just like the gas stations in summertime except this is ALL the time. The UPS store in Middletown, DE is the worst UPS store I have ever been in. I was yelled at once and the clerk who waited on me today looked as if he was having a nervous breakdown because he had to take my package. He also couldn't figure out the the difference between $20.04 that I paid and $16.04 the cost of my shipment would be $4 in change. UPS employees I've dealt with in PA and SC were always so competent. Maybe it's just DE. This store is awful. read more

I like this store. I've used UPS all over the country, and this is one of the best. They do get busy at rush hour so keep that in mind, I find early morning and early afternoon are best, but that can change. They need more room, but it's difficult for them to expand. read more

Very rude customer service, called and asked them if they can print out an already paid for shipping label he told me it will cost $5.50. When I get to the store the guy tried to charge me $8 dollars for a used box that they already had in the back. Then I said no and decided to buy an envelope which was $3.50 ( over charged) then they told me I had to spend $5 or more dollars just to use my debit card. Smh I think this place just likes ripping off customers. I'd rather drive a longer distance than pay them for service ever again. Do not go to this store. This UPS store continues its decline into the abyss. I have used this store since it first opened and the service once outstanding has gotten worse and worse. Return mailed a box from dish net today and Was provided service by a woman that appeared aggravated to just be there, The box top wasn't taped yet as I wanted to be sure that the UPS folks didn't need anything else required to ship it under the prepaid label. She told me that I would have to provide two dollars to cover the tape and if I didn't have cash to pay for it I would have to pay six dollars for a roll of UPS tape. It wasn't so much having to Buy the tape it was the smarmy attitude she had. When I laughed and said this is ridiculous she turned around and walked away and said you need somebody else to help you I'm not. A gentleman approached, and I told him in all the years I've been there I had not seen this poor of customer service although I did say that the attitude and behavior of the folks at that store continues to decline. He didn't say anything I paid for the tape and I left. Looking back at the other reviews for this location it's clear they got problems here.
