I love this UPS store. Super friendly staff, who really go out of their way to talk to you, and genuine about it too. They give you the best prices (you feel that you just found yourself a sale). I was so happy and surprised that they also do USPS, so that saves me a trip driving all the way to Brickell to drop off packages since I live only 5 minutes away from the place. It's part of the UM Life Science Building which recently opened up. On Thursdays, there is a weekly food truck event from 5-7 PM and Balans is also there (which means EtOH is ok!). Seriously who can complain about this place? Go out on an errand and get buzzed! The manager has a great enthusiasm for his job, and he really wants to help you out. For instance, instead of charging me a flat rate he told me that shipping via Priority Mail would be cheaper. Sometimes I feel the service here is much better than at your usual post office. Normally have a quick no hassle transaction dropping Amazon packages off here. NOT TODAY, the 2 elderly associates became VERY rude and aggressive. I provided the item in the box it was shipped in from Amazon, the lady took the product out of the box and said " I don't recycle, here's the box" I politely informed her I cannot take the box with me, this is the original box to use per instructions. They BOTH became irate raising their voices and initially would not provide my receipt. Absolutely NO REASON for this. read more

I came to this store to bring a return from Nike.com. When the woman behind the counter couldn't get the code to scan, she told me I needed to pay to print the label. When I asked if I could email the code, she told me I would have to pay to do so. After telling her I thought that was unfair, she relented and found a way to make the code scan. She then told me that I needed to pay for her to tape the box, even though they were taping closed other people's boxes. I tried to go to another lady working in the store and she offered to tape up my box free of charge. While this was going on, the original older lady was berating me in Spanish, when our entire interaction had been in English. Because of how long what should have been a 2 minute errand took, I was forced to pay for parking and was late to my next appointment. Easily the worst customer service interaction I've had in years. That woman at a minimum needs further training in how to deal with the public and might should find other work. read more

In desperate need of packaging peanuts, I found this nearby UPS store. Little did I know it was attached to the UM Hospital. What that means is.. paying for parking. Yuck. Luckily, this UPS store had what I needed. Packaging peanuts.. but in small little bags. Had to buy 2 and they're a little pricy for the size at $9/bag. Bleh. As for this store, it was quiet and seemed pretty standard. The gentleman was nice enough to validate my ticket. Yusss. I'll add another star for that! Not such a bad trip after all. read more

What a rip-off!!! I had intended to drop off a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope because my time was limited and this store is literally a 5-minute walk from my location. Note...this service is normally $9.65. Naturally I would have expected to pay a few dollars as a convenience fee. The elderly man attending to me said my total would be $18.78. That's a 95% up-charge!!! When I asked him about paying almost $10 more than in the post office, he very rudely said "we are not the post office". Thank you Captain Obvious! Worst customer service in the history of customer service. I've been here a couple time to return items from amazon/ASOS/ect. And to print. Both employees are older and every time I would go they would both be very rude. If I didn't have the QR code right away they would get mad and slam the scanner on table and make a face which made me very uncomfortable. They wanted to overcharge for printing and made the excuse that since this was a franchise business all ups stores charged I quote" whatever they wanted". I withstood this behavior for a while because it's conveniently located near by my house but after a couple of unpleasant encounters I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Neither of the geriatric employee-owners have ANY idea how to: 1) run the equipment 2) operate the computers 3) SHIP PACKAGES CORRECTLY! 4) Explain what they are actually DOING 5) Offer a refund for their OWN MISTAKES 6) Speak clearly or accurately. Calling gets no response, they almost NEVER answer the phone. UPS stores in general feel like crypts or tombs, dark, dank, and not inviting. I've called corporate (800-789-4623) now thrice in which: 1) Were marginally helpful, and quite frankly the ENTIRE operational entity devalues the UPS brand and stock quite frankly. Corporate is just as informed as a 15 year old with a laptop, anyone can pull the explanation the read verbatim FROM THE UPS WEBSITE. They offer ZERO insight as to why my $55+ 2nd Day package is now a week late - without an actual delivery date a week after dropping off the package! A customer should NOT have to call UPS if the "Store" (what a joke) "shipped" the package - find out the the STORE mislabeled your package AND OVERCHARGED me $55 for a $20 USPS service for a box weighing less then 2.5 lbs. - and then the STORE does not 1) CALL or 2) EMAIL or 3) even attempt to correct the shipping issue or delay. And of course, no mention of recompense, anything, not even an apology from the geriatric employees. AVOID THIS STORE AND UPS IN GENERAL LIKE THE PLAGUE. I'm thinking of shorting the stock right now, their performance in general is lackluster to say the least. I just left the store like maybe 30-40 minutes ago. The old lady that was there had such a bad attitude. It's not the first time that I had an issue with their customer service last week. There was a man working there earlier in the morning. And he also had a bad attitude. I personally won't go to that UPS Store anymore. The only reason why I went twice to that store is because it's literally the closest one to my house, but I rather drive a little further. And be treated nicely and with respect. I went into the store today to print ONE black and white document. I have printed at UPS stores and have never had an issue. I assumed the price would be the same or at least similar across all stores. The women working printed the page and told me the price of $2.55. I asked why the price was so high for one sheet and she brushed me off. The other man in the store said we charge for the printing and using the computer. This threw me off because I sent the document to an email and they printed it for me. Not only was there attitude when telling me this, I did not feel they even wanted to print it for me. After I told them I wasn't interested in it anymore because the price was absurd, I could hear her crumple the sheet up as I walked out. It was so rude. I rarely go to this location but when I do it seems like there is also some type of attitude given. I gladly when to another location and was able to print my document with no issues. read more

Convenient location. It's a great place to drop off an item that is already packaged and labeled. Customer service is so-so. The staff is always telling me how many hours they have left until they go home. They guy who works there gets offended if you ask questions. He doesn't like it if you don't just accept his suggestions on shipping, he seems to take things personally. I heard him telling a customer ahead of me that there was no such thing as Media Mail with the US postal service. They are either not knowledgeable or there was some upselling going on. read more

Worst UPS store ever! Customer service really sucks and they never address any issues you have with the shipping. The manager is seldom in the store so the employees always tell you that they are not authorized to do something unless the manager is here, to me it's just a way of excuses. They are even not UPS, it's just a franchised store. The UPS headquarter told me that if anything happens, the headquarter customer service can't do anything, and I have to go back to the store to solve my problems. Received poor customer service from the staff and the owner. Was not informed of additional charges before they were added on to my order. When I asked the owner/manager about this he told me if I did not like it "I could take my business elsewhere." Never been treated so rudely before by an owner. Do not patronize this business. All I had to do was place one piece of 12" tape to close a box and the girl working provided rudest customer service I have ever experienced had the audacity to charge $2.14 for a piece of tape. I took my business elsewhere. An entire roll can be purchased for a lower price. As a shred of human decency any shipping supply store should offer this as a courtesy to its customers!
