He ran the prices for me on all the different carriers (UPS, FedEx and DHL) and ultimately advised to go with DHL since it was the cheapest. I then gave him a bigger package to get to London and he insisted I contact FedEx directly and try to ship it back as a "rejected package," otherwise, he noted, "it'll cost $160 to ship regularly from here." I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he wasn't trying to up-sell me. Next time I'm looking to ship, Postal Plus will be my go to stop. They also offer PO Boxes, faxing, and boxes (for moving!).

The process at this UPS location couldn't have been easier. They have a machine directly across from their main service counter that's specifically used for Amazon returns. You don't need to have your items boxed or labeled for shipping - you simply use this machine to scan the return code you were given by Amazon, toss the item into one of the clear plastic bags that are located under the screen, close it up and attach the label this machine prints out. Simple, fast, painless and if I hadn't gotten stuck behind someone who didn't know how to operate her smartphone and had multiple items to return, I'd have quite literally been in and out of this UPS store within a minute or two.

How about it you're given an estimate ... and it's HALF of the cost? Understandable? Or down right incompetent? Without realizing it, I was given a quote for HALF my trip. Because I trusted U-Haul, I relied on me supplying the miles I'd be using, and receiving an estimate that would reflect this in return. In my specific case, I told the rep I was going on a 300 mile trip (150 miles to pick up a uhaul auto transport and 150 miles back), and I was given an estimated price. After my trip, I found out the estimate was for only 150 miles.... HALF of what my documented trip was to be. The complete trip was entered into uhaul for my reservation, but somehow my estimate was for only HALF of my documented trip (I keep repeating this, because I can't fathom the incompetence of defending 50% of a cost as a viable 'estimate') Every customer service rep I spoke to about this, understood this for the mistake it was. The regional manager though and follow up dispute dept rep both disagreed and told me that only the final amount used is what matters and that I was charged correctly. I'm heartbroken over this transaction. I once loved uhaul as a service. Sadly, they are NOT to be trusted.

I found out at about 8:15 p.m. on a Tuesday that I needed to pack and ship a package. I was leaving on business very early the next morning and would be gone for several days, so I needed to get this shipped that evening. Even the post offices that stay open late close by 6 so that was out, FedEx/Kinkos was out because I don't have an extra testicle, which is what it would've cost to ship this heavy box using FedEx, so my only hope was to find a store that ships packages via UPS or USPS. I remember seeing this place along US1 in the plaza where TGI Fridays and Pier 1 Imports are located. I boxed everything up and headed out, hoping they were open (I couldn't remember the name of the place and couldn't find them in the few Google searches I did, so I couldn't call ahead). I arrived just after 9, the "OPEN" sign was still lit, and the door was unlocked. I walked in, thinking that maybe they were supposed to close at 9. I saw 2 people (the owners I think) in the back, and a chain gate was pulled 1/2 way across the hallway between the front of the business and the area where the sales counter is located. I asked if they were still open and pointed toward the "OPEN" sign that was still lit up. The man looked up and said "We close at 7 on weekdays". I asked if he could help me out, and I nicely explained again that I stopped because his open sign was still on. He smiled and said "You can come in". The woman who was working there was friendly and took care of me quickly, and because of their kindness I could relax knowing that these things were shipped before I left the next morning. That's customer service at its best! As far as the store, they sell boxes, tape and packaging products, they can ship via UPS, USPS and FedEx and they also sell stamps. I also believe you can drop items off to them and they will package them up for you and ship them. The next time I need shipping supplies or need to ship items, I'll be coming here for sure; They've earned my business. Come to think of it, I think I'll also send them one of the "You've been Yelped" cards as well!
