This location is my go-to spot for returning and sending packages, including Amazon returns. I don't understand how the poor reviews criticizing the fee for returning Amazon items even come about, which to me sounds like a user error on the customer's behalf when generating the Amazon return code. Here's some piece of advice; when generating an Amazon Return, make sure you select the option where it states that the packing will be provided like my screenshot shows. I have always had a good experience at this UPS store! I don't use many of their services, other than Amazon returns, but that being said the staff is always friendly and they have ample employee's working on any given day. This location does get a bit busy, but the team onsite is efficient. Parking can also get a bit chaotic, as its shared with a gym and other businesses, but I have never had a major issue. You can of course get a lot of basic shopping materials here, copying and printing, ship package on site or pay for pre-papackged items. They also have mailboxes on this location if you were interested in were interested in PO Box type solutions. I believe they also have a notary, but I beleive last time I was thre an a customer asked, they were not in, so I would suggest calling in advance to confirm! Don't go here for Amazon returns as they will charge you just to slap a label on it. You are told FREE returns and when you go in you'll be required to pay a ridiculous label fee. You're better off going to Kohls or Staples as they won't nickel and dime you to death. FREE means FREE! read more

I have used this location for a few years and it just keeps getting worse. Stood in line today with my package for twenty minutes with 7 other people and literally nothing got done. The lady at the counter got frustrated and left with her package. The two employees swarmed around looking busy but the line kept growing. One customer completed her transaction in this timeframe. When the female employee did acknowledge the crowd, she beckoned the customer behind me that came in 10 minutes after me. WTF? I walked out with my package and will never drop a red cent here again. First of all they made it very obvious that I was a problem and a nuisance and I had just made it to the counter. Second of all, they seemed so flustered and didn't listen to what I was telling them. I ordered wall mounts off of Amazon and they were stuck together and the guy was like "ma'am it's very sticky can you please pull it apart?" I didn't mind but honestly it's not my job to handle my returned merchandise. I should've just went to another store. This one is the worst in Mesa. I've been in here before and they're pretty efficient, but good lord do they need to work on their customer service. The woman behind the counter, Barbara, was very rude to me on my most recent visit. I went to drop off two packages that had already been labeled and as I walked in all she was was "returns?" I kindly responded and placed my packages on the counter/scale. I didn't realize that the check in process utilized the scale so I placed the additional box on top of the first one as she was scanning it. Had I known it had she said something I wouldn't have done it, but all I received instead was a grunt, a sign and an exasperated shuffle of boxes. She did not make eye contact with me the entire time and truly looked like she didn't want to be there. I understand that there may be other things at play causing her to act this way, but I was nothing but pleasant until this point and in that case customer service should have been her number one priority. I sent them a mailing label to print for me, I called to make sure it came thur, the young man that answered said yes it did when I got to store no label. If it came thur why didn't he put it aside for me? Plus the lady there resent it from my phone & it didn't come out in there e-mail? Do they have a computer problem? Won't be going back soon, waste of my time. Need better Customer Service &/or better communication between employees. Should have a holding spot that's strictly for printed matter or fax's coming in. I had a horrible experience at this location and am actually disgusted at the behavior of the employee at the desk. I work in IT and frequently return/mail iPhones for repair by creating an Apple repair ticket. I send these out frequently, usually from the ups stores near my office in Scottsdale and have never had an issue. I walked up to the front desk and told the girl I needed to send out an iPhone for repair and that there is a code I need to give her that shows it's a prepaid label with instructions. It also says to show the ups store employee the email from Apple with the return code for ups to look up in the system. It explicitly states you do not need to box the item, just bring in to any ups store and they will handle the rest as everything is paid for. I showed the girl the email on my phone and she replied "we don't do that here. If you buy a box and pay for shipping I can send it out for you." My response, "it says in the email to give you the code and you can look it up and send it out for me." She replied, "I can't look up anything, we are a franchise and privately owned." So she proceeds to call her manager and it appeared they didn't answer the phone. I told her don't worry about it, I can just take it to another location and I'd rather not pay for something that's paid for. I started to walk out the door and the girl started rambling something and yelled, "don't walk away from me when I'm talking to you." I'm pretty sure in my 34 years of life, I have never had any service employee talk to me this way. This behavior is just appalling. I drove down to the next closest location at Baseline and power. They were super friendly and actually apologized for the other girls behavior. They boxed the phone up and sent out with no issues. They told me this was a standard request and all ups stores are able to send these out no box required, they take care of everything. In my experience, I will never use this location again and will drive a couple extra miles for the normal expected service you could expect. read more

They gave us some weird reason why we couldn't do it and why they needed to charge us extra for it, which contradicted what Amazon and another UPS store told us. I recently purchased a fragile ceramic figurine (online) from a nearby Antique Mall (in Mesa). As I'm not local (I reside in San Diego) the entire transaction from pickup, securely packing & shipping was handled efficiently by the store manager, Marcos. I brought a guitar in it's case that needed to be shipped. Packing expertise apparently meant putting the guitar case in a box too small, sticking another box on top and taping it together. And not even well, as in transit the taping apparently came partially untaped. When it arrived, with no packing in the 2 boxes, partly untaped, and one of the guitar cases locks unhinged, it was a sheer miracle that it was not damaged. Nearly $100 paid for a packing job I could have (in hindsight, should have) done better myself. Never again!! read more

I went to this property to have items laminated. I waited 25 minutes in line, and the poor woman behind the counter (Barbra) was all by herself with a line full of people. I understand her frustration trying to get everyone helped but she was incredibly rude. Rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing at everyone. I was more than patient when it came to getting my items laminated, even though the big lamination machine was out of order. She made comments left and right about how she was having a bad day, and seemed very irritated that I needed my items laminated. She made very snarky comments about the presentation of my items, they were keepsake bookmarks made in memory of my dad, and I was just speechless... I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but this experience was just unbelievable. I will not be returning. read more

This UPS store was always helpful, efficient and patient. You didn't mind waiting in their frequently long line because you knew that when it was your turn all would go very well. No longer the case. Personally, I think it must be under new management or in the process of moving out. The "service" is half hearted at best. Anway, I live in rural Arizona now and cannot get the size box I need. I called my-used-to-be-helpful UPS store, talked to the clerk (a young lady, no longer the Steady Eddie young man who was #1 in my book) and she told me she would order 3 of the size box I needed on Wednesday. I drove down the next week, with my saddle (big and heavy) expecting to pick up the boxes. There were none. The young lady working the counter was no help. I had to take her step-by-step through the conversation I had over the phone with the first clerk. I asked her if that clerk was in. No. Did she know when the clerk would be in? Maybe around 4:00. Maybe????? Not a happy camper. BTW, the male Steady Eddie no longer works there. Their loss! read more

After two weeks, after talking with the manager and employees, they refused to pay the $100 insurance. The owner of the store said he would not pay the $100. Ridiculous.
