Went in to return a book to Amazon. Unfortunately my printer didn't work and so I asked for them to print my label. I have done this before at no charge. The guy, Armando, seemed friendly, there was a line. I emailed it. They printed it and the girl helping me said they had an envelope I could use to mail it in. When she came back, Armando gave me a mailer envelope to put it in. They said it would be $2. Ok my fault I didn't bring something to mail it in. Then she says that the total is $7. They charged $5 for printing two pieces of paper. I asked why he didn't tell me that they would charge to print and that $5 for two black and white pages was ridiculous. He said well that's how much it costs and he thought I knew. A package I should have been able to ship for free but paid $7 to do so was absolutely ridiculous. Don't go here unless you're going to ask 100 questions prior to mailing because they are not forthcoming with the information in advance. read more

They advertise notary services but 3 different times I tried to go there for notary services. Twice their notary was out, 3rd time they wouldn't notarize because I got there at 3:40 and store closes at 4:00 with NO other customers. Waste of time driving there and complete disregard to customer satisfaction by advertising notary services but not providing them with any sort of reliability. read more

They lost my package in December. That wasn't the worst. What was terrible was the lack of communication. I kept on having to pester them for my refund. They never called me back until I specifically asked a manager to call me back. read more

I don't write many negative reviews, but this one store was so disorganized it made me disappointed all over again while writing this. I needed a 200+ page document printed for my company and found that the UPS store had the lowest price. I ordered online, gave my credit card info, and went to pick it up when it was ready. When I arrived, I was treated like I was bothering them and they tried to hand me a stack of 400+ pages (not even bound). I had stated I wanted it dual/double sided on my order and obviously that it would have binding based on the selection I made. One of the employees stated I didn't request it to be bound and that would be an extra cost if I wanted that. He even had the nerve to show me a print out of my order that didn't specifically have the word "binding" on it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but looking back at the website later I discovered I was correct in assuming my order would be bound. They reprinted the document dual sided and then told me I hadn't paid yet. I told them I placed the order online and paid using my credit card to pay. They said there's no record of that. I pointed out in the order (that he put in my face), that there is a black cover I ordered (and paid for). The employees search high and low for five minutes before telling me they could only find clear covers. Being a little frustrated, I told them if they would be so literal about the words in the order then I'd like the black covers. They told me they didn't have it and to come back after the holidays. I completely understand the busy holiday so I didn't come back for almost a month. I arrived and one employee (same guy as last time) acted like I was crazy when I told him the circumstances. Thankfully the other employee remembered me and found my documents. But guess what? They didn't order the black covers at all. I cut my loses and just took the clear ones and thanked one of the employees who at least made some kind of effort. To be fair (why they're getting 2 stars and not one) is because it was only the attitude of one employee (white guy in his late 40's early 50's with brown hair and a large belly sticking over his waist line) and not the other. Also, the product is well printed. Thank you for the product, but clean up the employees and / or hire more during the holidays because they can't handle the work load. read more

RE: Their Private Mail boxes. For 2nd time in a year I received priority/urgent mail into my box and received NO NOTIFICATION - even though all of my contact info is on file. To make matters worse, someone must have walked by my box 1000 times over 8 days, saw the mail notice sitting in my box and didn't think, hmmmm, maybe we should contact this customer and let them know they have URGENT MAIL sitting in here?!?!? No - they don't care. Brought this all to clerk's attention, again for 2nd time, and all I got was "oh, email must have gone into your spam box" - No. Again, they don't care. UPS this is your business, this is all you do and you can't get it right?!?!? read more

I repair and sell Jura superautomatic espresso machines. I regularly ship machines from this store after horrible customer service at the FedEx near Cal State LB. Michael and the other representatives are professional, friendly and very helpful. I had a machine I shipped that was damaged. Michael helped me with the claim and I few weeks later I got a check for the insured amount. At times I have to get a shipping estimate and wait for the customer to send payment by Paypal or Venmo. Since I am a regular customer they let me leave the box until i get the electronic payment. Once I forgot to include a part and Michael was able to get the box from the UPS truck. read more

This one is easy. This place is awesome. Open on Sunday, they're super nice, convenient and more importantly, not stingy with the tape. There are some bizarre stories told on Yelp but every single experience I've had here (shipping stuff, returning stuff to retailers, picking stuff up) over the past few years has been pleasant and exactly what you expect. read more

While I would have given them about four stars in the last four years that I have been coming here, things have changed dramatically, seeming to coincide with the remodel. I need to have documents notarized about every two to three months. I called in a month ago on a Friday to make sure that they would have a notary there on Saturday and was told that there would be three of them. So I then stopped there in a major hurry and was told that there was no notary. Came by today at 4:45 today for a notary. There was a line out the door. Not not not good. Three people behind the counter, but two of them consistently helping only one person instead of splitting up. And no notary. And by the time they told me that, I missed the 5:00 P.M. mail pickup. That's three strikes. You're fired. Now I go to the Postal Annex across the street next to Fresh and Easy, where they always have at least three notaries present. And then after that, I can go over to Fresh and Easy and flirt with the two checkers there. One of them is Fresh, and the other one is Eaaaaaaaaasy! read more

after an unsuccessful stop at another fedex/printing place I went over to The UPS store on Spring. Within two minutes I was in and out of there , my fax was sent with no problems. The guy was very helpful and it got done. I was at the other place (with help for a half hour and nothing was accomplished and they tried to tell me it was a problem on the receiving end). I emailed and paid to have a document printed at this location Via the UPS website. When I arrived, the employee could see the document ( 1 page) on the screen but he was unable to print it. He blamed UPS and their website for the problem and said that they were independently owned and had nothing to do with the inability to print it. To the notary at this UPS Store. I am a former Notary from my real estate years. You are not a legal adviser or FBI Agent because you spent $50. and took a multiple choice test with 35 questions. Its not your job to tell me to spend money with an attorney because you don't understand your responsibility as a public service for public convenience and sanctioned by the state. A California notary's job is to acknowledge that the person signing a document in their presence has provided reasonable proof of photo ID like a drivers license and that they are one and the same. In our case it was multiple proof of photo ID's, backed by a property tax statement. Note: married women hyphenate their name. The hyphenated name will not show on documents before they were married. You admitted, "I know its you, but the people on the other end may not". Your job is only to know. Its not your job to determine what other people think. You are not law enforcement. As a result of this unnecessary experience, we have opted to ship elsewhere. By the way, we got the stuff notarized across the street with no hassle whatsoever. read more

Went there to have them package a picture and ship through UPS. Employee measured my picture and then drew some wazoo sketch on a blank piece of paper with a bunch of crazy calculations. I was trying to send the picture to Oregon, not Mars. After spending 5 minutes on all these crazy calculations he tells me it's going to be about $110 just to pack it. I leave with the picture, buy a picture box and styrofoam and pack it myself for $21.00! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I paid to send a package to Alabama by 3 day service. That was on march 24. It's still not there. I've spent hours trying to get this package located and when I did, it had gone to South Carolina and Ontario amongst other locations. I finally get a call from Ontario and they tell me it has some hazmat stickers on it and can't be mailed. Where did they come from? I didn't have them on there. No one said anything at the store. Next I am having to write a letter stating that there are no hazardous materials in the box and that I wished for it to be revoked and mailed. That was on Monday. Now, I look for the status it was supposed to be delivered today. Nope. Next time I checked it moved to the 19th. Now, it won't give me a date at all. Also the store said I would receive a refund by 10 working days. Nope. It's past that I have yet to see a refund. I will continue to spread the word about this store and ups' services. After closing my P.O. Box rental, they never returned my key deposit fee of $13.00. I chased them for over a month to return my key deposit fee, but despite their repeated promises to do so, they never returned my deposit. I would not recommend this place or use their services again. read more

The things I can say about their staff! I could go on and on about how great they are! my favorite (Jacob) reminds me of my grandson. Great employees and great location. I'm always in and out of here with packages I need to have shipped. Quickly walk in and the workers, even if busy, will acknowledge me with my prepaid labeled package and tell me to just drop it off. They'll tell me when the next pickup is and I'm out of there within a minute. Nearby my place and nearby the freeway, so it is convenient for me to stop by on my way somewhere or coming back. Great stuff! It's so quick I forget to check in most times (not so great...). read more

My family has had a mailbox here for years and use it mostly to receive packages and some mail. With all the package thieves around, we get almost all our packages delivered here. All employees have been helpful and friendly. Sometimes there is a wait because it can get busy or a customer has a complicated package but I don't mind waiting because they always do a good job. With a baby coming we've had some big heavy packages delivered and they will help bring it out to your car if needed. I've had a package that needed to be sent to Germany and they explained all the prices and time frames. I've needed notary services and they've been helpful with that as well. Definitely will keep coming back to this store for years to come. read more
