I had a quick mission. I had a product to return where the Jupiter sized e-retailer had sent me the return label and all I had to do was get it to a UPS location. I had seen this location, which is fairly new and there was parking right in front. I walked in with the large box and pre-printed return label in hand. The staff recognized right away what needed to be done, verified with me, took the box and label and I was back out the door. Under a minute from driving up in to backing the car out. Came in at 8am and paid $45 for Next Day Air. I was promised it would be on the first truck out (that's why I was there at 8am). The next day I found out via the tracking # that they didn't even begin shipping it until 6:20PM. SERIOUSLY? This package is going to an Embassy in Washington DC. I was very clear at how urgent it was that it got there in the morning so it needed to leave that morning- not that night. The girl at the counter (Iliana) said that it was no problem- why did they keep my package there all the way until the end of the day then? Completely unacceptable. She also spelt the name of the country wrong even though I spelled it out and showed it to her in a printed letter. They don't answer their phones either- go figure. I wasn't even surprised when they didn't pick up after calling multiple times throughout the day. I will be pursuing a refund and I will be complaining to UPS corporate. read more

I came to this UPS location to ship Christmas gifts to my family. I'm not too familiar w the process but I did do a little "mock" delivery online to get an idea of the cost or what types of things they factor into the cost. I got a figure of about $43 and some change. Well when I went in, Alex the ups guy, weighed my package and also took its dimensions. He proceeded to enter in my info and where it was headed. He asked when I wanted it there by and I told him by Christmas but I wanted the cheapest price because I didn't care if it ended up there the day before Christmas. His price quotes ranged from $300.00 to the "lowest" being $155.00!! I was not prepared for that. I then told him I looked online and it came up to around $43 and it asked me the same exact things he used to price my delivery except for the package dimensions. He didn't seem to have an explanation for this but some the UPS woman there said that price was for ups account holders. Why in the world would it give me an account holder price quote if it differs from a non account holder??? This confused me. I decided to pay the $155 because again, I am not experienced in this. After leaving, I just had an uneasy feeling that $155.00 was the cheapest. Mind you this was 3 day residential delivery and remember, I asked for the cheapest price and it didn't need to be rush delivered. I decided to go online again and get my package dimensions and do another "mock" delivery since my prior one didn't have the dimensions. The price...$60.50 and it would have gotten there end of day Thursday!! I called them and asked to cancel and be refunded and Alex out me on hold. He came back on the line after laughing and said he was unable to do that because the label had been printed already. It had been less than an hour that I dropped it off. I am horrified at this service and want to warn all there of Alex and his lack of empathy, knowledge and customer service. And that he didn't even find a cheaper price and charged me almost $100 more than I was able to find online for ups ground...and to do that during the holidays?? I take some responsibility for agreeing to this price but after I tried to cancel and they denied me is what really upsets me! read more

The representative that helped me today was WONDERFUL! I wasn't able to get here before 6:30 closing time but when I called she told me she would be happy to wait for me since I was just up the street. I was greeted with a genuine smile as she finished up with the 2 customers ahead of me and gradually 4 others walked in after me and she still cheerfully told each one of them "Hello! Just drive up the street to the other location, it's about a mile or two away. They are so slow and lack customer service. There was a line of four people waiting and the manager was in the back on the computer, he was NOT on the phone. I get you were doing reports or whatever, but customers were waiting, you should of come to front and got the line down. Two customers ended up leaving due to the wait. When I was finally at the counter, I was ready with my package and shipping information but the lady who was supposed to be helping me, was too busy talking to the courier behind me as if I wasn't in front of her and ready to ship my package and get out of the store. read more
