Despite being paid by Amazon to handle these returns, the store now charges two dollars for tape and two dollars to print a label that Amazon already provides. Other retailers like Kohl's, Whole Foods, and Staples make it truly convenient, free of charge, and require no prepackaging at all. That's what good customer service looks like. No greeting. No acknowledgment that I was there. I walked to a counter closer thinking maybe I'm in the wrong line. The woman behind the counter just continued clearing off her workspace. Again... no greeting or even eye contact. She just ignored me. I smiled at her and nothing. A man then walked in and did the same thing. He spoke up after a few minutes and said... is this the correct line. The woman working on the floor said let me finish this then I'll get to you. The agent behind the counter then looked at me and said are you just dropping off. I replied No, I need to have this scanned. She turned around and continued what she was doing. At this point I do not trust my package will be handled correctly so I just said I fell I'll send this later. Then turned around and walked out. I probably made her day... she didn't have to help a customer.

One of the main reasons I chose this location was convenience: they have pickups from all major vendors in one place and it's always been a pleasant experience up until recently. I print my own labels and pack my own items, which I'm fully aware they offer as paid services. However, doing that work myself is how I keep costs down for my business. Despite this, comments have been made in the past implying that by only using the drop-off service, I'm "not making them any money." As of January 1st, I was informed that if I drop off more than three packages, I'll be charged $2 per package just to drop them off. That means a quick, one-minute interaction to scan packages and provide a receipt now comes with a fee. I understand the economy is tough and businesses are trying to increase revenue. However, this policy feels especially frustrating when every other pack-and-mail store and all major carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) offer free drop-off, with USPS even providing free at-home pickup. This change feels less like a reasonable adjustment and more like being penalized for doing the work myself and using what was previously a free, basic service. While the cost itself may be small, it's the principle that matters. For those who rely on this location solely for high-volume drop-offs like I did, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, that's exactly what I'll be doing in the new year.
