I feel like it's sacrilegious to say but...wasn't this previously a FedEx?! Anyways, whatever it is/was, my experience was great. Reading the reviews, Its possible timing matters or my experience was atypical. I was slightly intimidated when I entered. I'm used to shipping my items from a similar location in the Woodlands, waiting for 30+ minutes to be serviced, and suppressing my anxiety as I pull out of a parking lot with less than desired visibility. That being said, seeing a long 6 or 7 people deep made me nervous. Luckily it moved quickly, and the team member who took care of my order did a great job! I quite literally came in with a bag of items from Spain to be shipped to a friend in Washington DC. No labels, no boxes, no idea of the weight. I have a box at the Westheimer location and that's where you should go instead of coming here. I arrive at 810 and they open at 8. Waited 10 minutes for the clerk to come to the front. Now there are 3 people waiting. My HAPPY RETURN went okay as well as the UPS package I sent. The problem comes into play with the 4 USPS packages that I left with them because USPS DOES PICK UP FROM THIS LOCATION. Out of 4 packages, 3 are missing. As in have not been scanned into the USPS tracking system. So where are they?! Of course, now they say they aren't responsible for them, but they allowed me to leave them here. So who stole them?!!! This is by far the WORST UPS location I have ever visited. Everyone, down to the old cranky UPS driver who picks up here, is just outright RUDE. They leave signs instructing you how to drop off packages and then, get upset when you do it exactly the way you're asked to, and speak to you like you're a moron when asking for help or simple questions. I'm understanding to people having a bad day but every single time I've visited this location, it's the same horrible customer service time after time. Leave the attitude at home or quit if you don't like your job but taking it out on your customers is not good for business (not just me, have seen it happen to others as well). Slow service, only one person working. Was waiting for 10 minutes while a customer was trying to get insurance on his package. I ended up leaving instead. She was taking her sweet time having to open the package up and check the contents. At this point prioritize if you have people waiting to pick up packages. I arrived at the store around 1:10p.m. When I entered the business the employee "JOE" looked at me with no response, not a hello, hello one second or nothing. Stood around until 1:25p.m. Then, he greeted me with "you ready" after I've been standing here for 15min. So I asked, "Are you in customer service?" He looked around indicating "what does it look like. I shared with him my experience and he showed me that he could care less! The location used to be really good. We've had a mailbox her for a while. The employees have always been very nice, but they recently had a change in franchisee and I haven't had a good experience since then. On a recent visit their new manager, Lauren Flores, came up to me as soon as she saw me going to our mailbox to let me know that I would need to pay a second $25 setup fee since my husband's name is also on the box. First of all, they're attempting to modify the terms of an executed contract. Secondly, I've had mailboxes at a few different UPS locations and have never been charged multiple setup fees. She presented me with a paper that does not look like it was produced by the franchisor to try to justify charging the fee, but it still isn't in keeping with the terms of the actual UPS contract that I signed. On my next visit, Lauren wanted to charge me $5 to pick up a package that was sent to our mailbox. The box had my husband's name instead of mine and she said until I paid the additional $25 fee I would have to pay to pick up my husbands mail. She eventually gave me the box without charging me, but she said that going forward they would charging $5 to pick up anything for my husband or I would have to pay a $25 setup fee. I'd recommend finding another location. I've never had an issue with a UPS Store until now. They are usually well run. This location has either a rogue manager or rogue franchisee, but clearly the plan is to rip off their long term customers. read more

Super convenient and friendly staff! I rarely use shipping services but when I do, it's usually UPS. This was my first time visiting this location and I was pleased. I really like how the store opens early on the weekend. That was super helpful for me because I like getting errands done early in the day. The store was also very clean and neat. Another plus! There was also plenty of packing and shipping materials which is great if you don't have your own. Finally, the price was right so my pocket wasn't hit too hard. BINGO! I cringe when I have to return an Amazon shipment here. They are always backed up, slow, and the folks working there could care less about your wait time, they would rather stand around talking to each other rather than helping the customers. The Whole Foods right next door is so easy to return Amazon shipments to, but for some reason it is no long an option when I start the return process with Amazon. The last two times I have tried to return an Amazon shipment with the UPS store the waits were 20 and 30 minutes! They always seem to have 3 employees in the store, but only one of them is working - the other two are telling jokes and having fun... The line in this store was extremely long and there was only one person working during peak hours on a Saturday. Why on earth would you only have one person working during what is likely one of your busiest days of the week?! I ended up waiting in line for 40 minutes then when it was my turn in line, the UPS employee helped another customer who was several places behind me in line. Myself and other customers were very confused as the customer who was helped did not have a quick/simple service or drop off. I've used this store on 3 previous occasions since it's super close to my house. Those first 3 times it's been nothing special, just the typical waiting in line, ho-hum service. Most recently, this time I had paid for my shipping and was driving to Austin for a meeting. I received a call from the UPS Store that I needed to pay an additional $10.75 for shipping. Why is this you ask? One of the workers had failed to measure correctly. They wanted me to come back in person to pay. Needing the packages shipped, they finally agreed I could pay by credit card. From my stand point, I've paid, I've left the store, please ship my packages as agreed upon. Finally after 4 phone calls and getting the managers approval, they would ship the packages without billing my credit card. Great... problem solved, however, I get my credit card bill in the mail and sure enough they've tacked on an extra $10.75!!! I'll be going to Fedex-Kinkos in the future... read more

I've been coming to this store for over three years now, and always have excellent service. While I look forward to Grace and Dede, it's Mabel who keeps me coming back. She's always attentive, helpful, and funny. Not only does she make sure I get what I need, as quickly as she can no matter what it is, but she puts a smile on my face too--and if you know me, you know that's quite a feat. Let me start by saying our experience anywhere is both our responsibility and the people in charge. I do my best to get to know people and treat them with respect before I'm treated with respect. My first visit to this UPS Store was in April to get a resume printed for a job interview. Trey Jackson, the manager, helped me choose a nice paper stock and print me three copies. I was blown away when he wouldn't let me pay and wished me luck in my interview. Are you kidding me? Who does that? So, I came back this morning to have a legal document scanned to a PDF and Joy helped me. I had to force her to allow me to pay. Look I know these two things were small and they don't have to do this for everyone. The document I was getting scanned is a depressing one and while this was a small thing on their part it really helped me this morning. Before visiting this location i would always visit USPS. Everyone knows of the poor customer service they provide. Once they lost my packages and did nothing about it, I switched to The UPS store.
