I just want to feel confident that when I come to pick up my packages that are proven to be delivered, that they are NOT mislabeled, given to the wrong person, or just plain unaccounted for. It has happened too many times that I have lost count. I use UPS to avoid having my packages stolen by thieves, only to pay every month for the packages to be not delivered to me. Houston, TX to Huffman, TX - 45 minute drive. Paid a premium to have it overnighted. These idiots flew it Louisville, KY at 1 am and flew it back to Houston at 5 am to drive it 32 minutes to Huffman. So I come by to pick it up and the guy at the counter can't figure out how to find the box with the last four digits and then the whole thing. It's complete chaos here. A lady behind me is told to just drop her box by a pile of boxes on the ground for pick up. When they finally find the box, I'lm told there is a $10 fee if you pick up any item at UPS. If you don't have a box with them. I've never had to pay a $10 fee to pick up any item from UPS from other stores, so it sounds fishy to me. My box is ransomed until I pay the fee. I just visited this store for the LAST time. First, their technicians do not understand how to do their job. I requested to ship a box and they said that if I didn't have the shipping label already printed with the address then I could not ship it. Someone else behind the counter overheard and explained to the young lady helping me that when she generates the order, the shipping label with the address print automatically and then she can place that label on the box for it to ship. Isn't that what a shipping store does. How did she not know this? Then I asked to pick up my print order that I had placed online. The same young lady said I would have to email it to them instead. She explained that the online orders go to the Owner and she does not have access. However, the file was on my computer at home so I was unable to email it to UPS again. After waiting a few minutes, she was able to access the order afterall but printed it improperly. Not only did their technicians dismiss us when we alerted them that the prints were in the wrong format (printed as 8.5 x 11 on 11x17 sheets), they simply said I was wrong and offered no support. They would not even allow me to explain that I confirmed the 11x17 size in the preview window prior to placing my order and that it was simply a matter of selecting the proper size when sending the file to the printer. Literally all they had to do was ensure they had the printer settings properly set, but they would not listen. I can print 8.5x11 prints at home. I would NOT have requested this service if 1) I had known their the staff would be so unprofessional and inexperienced and 2) would not provide the product as advertised. There are other shipping options in the Heights. I strongly recommend using alternatives to this UPS store. read more

Now That I moved to another state I am being told I have to find someone to pick up a box from this UPS location or else they will get rid of it- seriously!? I payed for a service that I didn't get. I was literally looking at a package of mine behind the counter, and they said they couldn't scan it to release it to me... Yes, it's a busy time of year. When I went to pick it up they said I had to pay $5 because they've been holding it! Tried to contact customer service and said there was nothing they could do. The employees have never been the most conscientious people in the world but the store has recently just stop taking Amazon returns which is their own prerogative, but they have it a sign on the door printed out that's not clearly stated. I walked into the store for an obvious Amazon return, but was informed by the employee with attitude that I should've saw the sign on the door maybe if the sign was more clearly stated and not part of multiple other signs on the door, saying what they can't do I would've saw it anyway, good luck in future endeavors UPS store. Had an interesting yet negative event today at this location. I had previously used the facility before - notary, a number of packages and purchasing shipping supplies. Had done so during this COVID - 19 problem without a mask without any issue. So today I am met at the door by a young woman I can only assume to be the bouncer by her demeanor. She rudely and curtly asked about the location of my mask. Told her I didn't wear one. She said she needed me to get one or she wouldn't let me in. I asked her what legal right she had to bar me from service since I didn't have a mask. She rolled her eyes and let out a loud and indignant huff, heard through her mask, then said something to the effect of "well then I am refusing you the right to service to protect my employees!" My decision at that point was simple. I informed her the store would never see me or my wallet again then walked off. Her whole indignant and holier than thou attitude was horrific, arguably the worst I've seen from an entity that hinges its whole survival on customers. Likely this review won't get a response, but at the end of the day, hiring a bouncer to determine who can and can't enter is a great idea for an upscale Club, but a lousy decision for a UPS franchisee looking to continue a revenue stream in hard times. read more

Always rude. Their "system" was down. The person, a tall man, asked my wife for her id. She presented it, he took her id and took a picture of her id with his personal phone. How is this a policy? You cant look at the picture and simply match the address? Also on his personal phone? I thought this was strange. I walked in and asked why this happened and why he took a picture of my wife's id on his personal phone? He said it was the GMs policy. He refused to delete the photo. This store remains busy but staff works diligently to move customers along quickly. I frequent the store almost weekly for business shipping. Terrible customer service! I work with a political candidate and we needed a report notarized. We called ahead of time to make sure the notary would be there. We were assured he would. Once we arrived, we were told to wait and that he'd be with us. After a long wait, we asked how long it would take, they said the notary was out back. We waited a while, asked again it was then that the notary ( Jason Joseph) came out and said verbatim "I'm not doing it." I was shocked and asked what he meant and he repeated "I won't be notarizing." Mind you, he hadn't even looked at the file. When we called the manager later, honestly concerned about the behavior of this said notary, she (Claidia Martínez) was extremely dismissive and mocked our concerns. Even though this is the closest store to my house, I will now go out of my way to go to the one in Garden Oaks. First off, the UPS store has advertised "Pack and ship guarantee" and as you can probably tell by my one star review, it didn't work out that way. I already had a label for a framed movie poster I was trying to ship and was in need of a box. Since they GUARANTEE packing and shipping I was surprised when they sent me to 1/2 price boxes to buy my own box bc they didn't have one. With attitude, the worker replied when I questioned their guarantee, "Well, we can only ship with the boxes we have". Wow, that's helpful! Maybe a good manager would make sure they had inventory of all sized boxes (like other locations) and it wouldn't be a problem. Just a hunch. I ended up leaving, getting a box at half price and taking it to the UPS store in Garden Oaks who took wonderful care of me and were so accommodating. They also had ample boxes and one that would accommodate my package but I ended up staying with the one I just bought at Half Price. It's 2022 and the 19th st location is STILL requiring their employees to wear masks. This location is a disaster. You know it's bad when you don't even name the location by name and the other UPS location goes "oh the one on 19th st" in reply to "I'm never going to the one by my house again!" It's well worth your sanity to go to the one in Garden Oaks instead! read more

This location has horrible customer service. The manager at this location is extremely unfriendly and has yelled at a different customer each of the last 3 times I've been in there including me for trying to return an Amazon package after 5pm because I didn't notice her 5x7 Times New Roman sign taped to the front door stating that they would not take Amazon packages after 5pm. I'm not sure how a certified Amazon drop off point can just arbitrarily decide they won't take packages during normal opening hours but it's extremely inconvenient. I just went into the UPS store on 19th Street to pick up a package, and the female clerks working today were incredibly unhelpful and BEYOND rude to me. They told me I needed more than a 'missed delivery' slip so they could find my package. When I asked them to help me look up my tracking number, they said they were not allowed to look up my tracking number from their computer, as it "is the owner's policy." I then asked if they had wifi I could get on, as my phone's internet wouldn't work in the store. The pink-haired female associate began quickly spouting off a long, convoluted password with myriad capitals, punctuation marks, etc. She was going too fast and I couldn't follow. I asked if she would slow down and repeat the letters. She wouldn't. She was incredibly rude, which I told her she was being awful to me, she then refused to serve me. The other clerk (the one with long, black pointy nails) then proceeded to tell me to leave the store and that they were refusing serve to me. This was all humiliatingly done in front of a line of about 10 people. Unprofessional, they went out of their way to be unhelpful and AWFUL! Not only should the owner of this UPS store be aware, so should the headquarters of UPS, as I don't think UPS would like their brand smeared this badly. read more

You are the face of this store. I was next in line and when I told the employee what I was there for she said "I wasn't ready!" Instead of saying something like "I will be right with you". Who teaches y'all the basic customer service skills because that is not it! Today there wasn't anyone in the store and I approached the employee and he did not say a word until he finished doing what he was doing. Again you need to acknowledge the customer. If you don't know how to talk to people then you need to work in the back or in a warehouse where you will have minimal contact or no contact with customers. Would strongly suggest getting better management. Seems their goal is just to up sale you on things not needed. Wouldn't insure a package unless I purchased their packing services at an extra cost. Kinda see why this place has a 2 star rating. As someone representing a brand your goal needs to be to help the customer, trying to push services for your monthly quota isn't professional at all.
